I rented a storage unit here for a few months until I found a new apartment in NYC. From beginning to end my experience has been great and I have no complaints. They were very helpful and responsive in answering all my questions (Ive never rented a storage unit prior to this). They even adjusted my first bill so I wouldnt have to pay the full amount since I wasnt moving my stuff into the unit until a few days after my lease started. Before my move out day at the end of August, I mistakenly paid full price that would take me until the middle of September. They gave me a full refund without issue and then charged me the appropriate amount to reflect the time I was staying until my move out. They are very fair in their pricing and extremely helpful. I highly recommend using this storage facility.

Big and spacious loading area, clean and convenient..

I recently reserved a unit at this location and I must say the process was extremely easy. Jonathan made the entire process a breeze -- he was very direct and to the point of how the payments would work, the pricing, the hours etc. My only gripe with storage units is the constant increase in prices. But, I appreciate Jonathan being VERY frank and upfront about what to expect and when to expect it.

Manager of store at 5th Ave in Brentwood NY helped me find a smaller unit close to larger one I had. Needed to downsize. Was maybe 30 feet away on same floor. Was an easy process.Outside area very clean as well as inside.Prices at Extra Space is very competitive too..lowest one I found. Wish they would not raise prices after 6 months is the only negative but these places know you are not likely to move in and out to save money..is a lot of work. Went from $70 to $125. This is not due to manager but to the corporate office.Pleasant experience and would recommend that location

The staff are kind and they greet you when you walk in. I would go there to buy boxes and just recently Jonathan helped me getting a storage to store my bins and my daughters painting that she had throughout her school years. Now my apartment doesn’t look clutter.

I found the area, but for a moment though I was walking in circles. I know theres a map somewhere. So i can easily bring stuff directly to the unit...but overall I made a great choice Im happy.

I recently had to get a storage unit at this facility after I was forced to move out of my apartment because I was nearly killed by carbon monoxide poisoning. During my move into the unit I was very sick and I had nobody to help me. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Upon realizing that my first choice of a unit was too small I was quickly able to get a larger unit pretty close to the original one. Unfortunately I had no help again and it took me literally an entire day to move my things into the larger unit. I was very happy with the second unit . I have a cleaning business and was able to fit all of my supplies into the unit with plenty of space remaining upon completion of the move. The next day I went to the Unit to load my truck with supplies for the days work, when I went into my unit there were roaches crawling everywhere. I DO NOT have roaches and I absolutely do not store food or anything like that in my unit. Not only are my cleaning business supplies in the unit but my personal items are stored there as well as my clothing ! My grandsons toys, blankets and clothing too. Now I can not stay remain a customer there. I didn’t plan on having to move and do not have the money to do this again. I have paid closeTo 350 on moving things from unit to unit. I now have nobody to help me again and need to get everything out of there. I will have to throw many things away now because I’m sure my things are going to be ruined by roaches. I don’t know who to speak to about this issue but I need to get my things out of there and I want my money back. Everything else at the facility was great but I CANNOT deal with roaches!!!!!

Easy in easy out - all around- from contract to.move in, to move out, to paying monthly, to ending contract. And best price! 100% done online. I’ll definitely use again. Perfect solution for temporary summer storage of Jeep hard top. The Bayshore, NY location was super clean and well kept.

I have 3 units and they increased my monthly rates by 26%. How ridiculous is that? An extra $92 a month total. Crazy looney increases.

I had a great experience at the Bayshore, 5th Avenue office. The front desk staff were very professional; the maintenance worker Greg has the building very clean, he was very helpful in helping me choose a room to rent. I recommend this storage facility for anyone who needs to store their belongings.

Cube Smart In Bayshore didn’t refund me ANY money after only 7 days! I changed my mind and never used the storage. SOME KIND OF MONEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN RETURNED TO ME. Like prorated? Nada. Zip. Zilch. I got nothing back. So I gifted the store $206.00

AVOID! RATES STILL INCREASE DESPITE A GLOBAL PANDEMIC/ECONOMIC CRISIS-POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE-POORLY MANAGED SITE. I have had a storage unit with this facility for a few years. After calling numerous times and no one answering the phone, I called customer service to reach someone. They requested for the facility to call me back multiple times. They finally called me back and I requested for the rate to remain the same temporarily. they gave me a difficult time and stated a general manager would call me back. No one ever called me and I had to follow up myself three days later. They were unable to leave my rent the same. Very disappointing. No one answers the phone at the office, no one returns phone calls, you will be LOCKED in the facility after 10PM being forced to call 911 for real assistance, poorly managed site, sometimes there are no trolley carts for your items at the 1775 5th avenue Bayshore NY location, there are unprofessional signs addressing customers. Do your self a favor, AVOID and go elsewhere. I definitely will be taking my business elsewhere, where customers are appreciated and respected.

Rented since july 2020, rate went up 30 dollars with no notice but was told a letter was mailed out. Mind you I have setup email only for everything. I went today amd saw that its now an extra space no longer cubesmart. Never got a notice for that either. Its a scam that should be outlawed

I have had a shared storage unit at this site for over a year now and just changed to my own unit. The treatment by everyone has been professional and with respect. The grounds are always clean. The area where the units are is always clean.One thing I do not like is the lighting if you are in your unit for any length of time the lights will go out if there is no movement . This is not safe in my opinion. I think the lights should remain on as soon as you punch in to the gate until you leave. It would make the visit more pleasant instead of having to stop what you are doing to find the sensor to make the lights come back on. I would still recommend this Cube Smart to others but warn about the lighting if they are not already familiar.

This is a very clean storage facility. A place where you can leave your belongings and have peace of mind knowing that the condition in which you brought them will be the same condition when you retrieve them. No pesky critters, no moldy smells, and no creepy crawlers. The personnel is informative, courteous and helpful.

Anytime I needed to speak to the staff someone responded in a timely manner and the hours of operation were perfect especially if you have a 9-5 job!

I love this place. Its clean, and very accessible. I have a serious problem. It says climate controlled but you walk in and its freezing cold. How are we suppose to do anything in our unit if its so cold in here? Please put the heat on if were paying for climate controlled space.

Jazmin is a great employee I had called earlier with some questions and she was very thorough and polite.

Staff was confrontational when i signed up, unable to use works like please and thank you when asking customers to follow them around the facility. Also now that I have been there for a year: I was never contacted after reporting a break in to my RV.

Store at your own risk !!! Our storage unit was robbed and all our valuables stolen and no recourse as video tapes from cameras are wiped . Despite there being security cams we can’t see who robbed all our stuff . Whoever robbed us had ample time to go through all our things and choose only the most valuable items .In response to the owners reply about contacting them for help . I have been in contact numerous times and no one even bothers to reply to me !

Customer Service is barely existent. Be warned they lock you in if your not out by 10pm and no one picks up the emergency number had to call cops to get us out. Would not recommend the prices are way too high and they changed price on me after only 5 months. I would not go there not worth the price for a storage, unit not even open 24 hours. During this whole pandemic nothing was offered to try to help people struggling. And the prices will keep going up once youre in there.

I’m very upset 😡frustrated, not only once but twice I got stuck in there elevator. Going upstairs and down from my unit. I’m things on the second floor . And I need to use the elevator at times I have alot of things to move in or out of my unit . 2x elevator got me stuck inside. First time for 35 mins until help arrives 9/11 👮🏻‍♂️police . And last night again .😡 police arrived again. To help me out .
