Don’t buy anything from this furniture store. Everything looks good in the store and when you purchase something and your delivery arrives you’ll notice a couple of damages. To return it, it becomes a hassle. Be mindful that you will not get your money back only a store credit. I purchased a ottoman in August and it had some damages, called customer service got the run around, it took me a month to resolve the issue. I purchased a cocktail table since I couldn’t get my money back, and it also came with damages.

Wow!! The customer service from, Ms Pepsi was the BEST!! The time she spent with me not knowing if I was going to make a purchase, left me speechless!! I havent experienced customer service like that in a long time. Two thumbs and two toes up!! If you are looking for furniture, I recommend you go to Value City Furniture in Bayonne, and please ask for Ms Pepsi😃

This store is made me feel welcome and they showed that they truly cared about helping me find what I was looking for. This will be my first stop the next time I need furniture. The staff and manager are amazing!!!

Lots of furniture to choose from but what made our experience pleasant and knowledgeable was our Salesman Mike, he asked us if he could help us and we said we would like to look around first and after we decided on the items. Visited this store with an idea in mind of what I wanted and my budget. Met with Theo (sales rep) and from the start he was awesome! He respected my budget and my space. He gave me the opportunity to walk around and view the floor items on my own without having him hovering over me. Once I narrowed down my choices, he provided me with the honest opinion of the make, fabric and size, which helped to narrow down the choices even more. Delivery for my first choice was months away. Instead of just saying, “well sorry!”. He came up with a solution on how to get the items for me anyways with a quicker delivery!!Definitely would recommend this store and this salesman to others!

Was supposed to have a delivery on 8/22/2021 between 12 and 4. I understand New Jersey was under a hurricane watch and there was flooding in a lot of areas. But with that said waited all day and at 4:30 called and was told they should have called you this morning everything was cancelled because of weather.i was very upset as I sat all day waiting. Asked to speak to manager and was told not one around . I got even more upset and was hung up on. Called back and low and behold a manager answered and said we can’t help if you fell Thur the cracks. No apology just nastiness. Do you want to reschedule or not? I said. Want my furniture tomorrow. Was told we don’t deliver on Mondays. It will be there Tuesday and there is no time when it gets there. How they handled this situation was disgusting and unprofessional.

The customer service reps at this place are very good. They didn’t follow me around asking a zillion questions but rather checked in appropriately. I went to four different stores and ultimately circled back to so I can give the business to the kids working there. And you may find it interesting that they make no salary and a commission of 5% of the total sale. I really think they should up their pay grade but I’m happy to support them nonetheless

Value city is one of my favorite stores. I have always been satisfied with everything. I am a customer for a life time.

This store is amazing, very clean, well put together and the staff are nice, honest, and very helpful. My husband and I specifically spoke with Theo and he was very straight forward giving us tons of pin points to find our perfect sets.

Furniture seems to be really good quality. Robert is an excellent salesman. Delivery people accidentally broke bed frame. It took them a more than 2 months to replace bed frame and than delivery people lied aboutdelivery and refused to deliver. I had to reschedule for the next day. The next day I was outside waiting for them. The delivery people pulled up in front of building and sat in there in the truck without getting out and said the building is locked. The delivery guys are liars and very lazy. When bedframe was finally delivered it was scratched and wood was chipped.

Stay far away!!! Can’t get anyone on the phone for deliveries! The only service you receive is when they are trying to get you to purchase the item. Don’t even think about getting warranty, they don’t stand behind their product. Couch is ripped at the seam and was told that’s my problem. Can’t get a manager on the phone, there’s a waitlist for them to call you back and you never get a call back. So disappointed in their customer service!Do yourself a favor and go to another store, at least they assist you in warranty claims and try to resolve the issue.

Purchased a beautiful bedroom set with the help of an awesome sales employee!

We purchased a sectional on October 2020 and it got delivered just today. They said it would take a month or so but here we are in JANUARY 26 AND almost February. They did not update or give any information regarding delivery. I understand its covid and it can be delayed but at least respect your customer and update maybe??? What are we supposed to do? Sit on the floor with the whole family and with the baby ? I could have just looked for other options. This part was just the customer service.Today it got delivered and with sectional part MISSING!!! They did not let us know that only the delivery guys mentioned we have to call them. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Is this a joke? What kind of company are you? Learn to respect your customers and then worry about making profit!!!

They have a large selection of items to shop, from mattresses to dinning room tables and nice customer help. They did not have any computer desk selections available.

I recently ordered a sofa from Value City. Placing the order and the follow up communication was extremely pleasant particularly with Mary. She was knowledgeable, pleasant, helpful and extremely respectful. Something that is rare in customer service these days. Kudos to Mary and to Value City.

I order Mattress with power base and 2 sofa and love seat in Sept. 2020with total of $4900.00 The salesman told us that they will deliver sofa and love seat in Mid Oct. 2020. But they put Est. Del. date Nov.2, 2020As of today Nov. 14, 2020 I did not received 2 sofa and love seat!!!Last week when I called them, they said it will come in Dec. 2020.!!I do not trust this company. They have not called me yet.

Over the years, Ive bought 4 living room sets, 2 kitchen sets,2 bedroom sets and a china closet from Value City, but now they apparently have a new manager. First off, they no longer give Veterans discounts. Secondly, I could tolerate the less than gracious workers when I was getting a deal, but there are no more deals to be had. Lastly, DONT INSULT MY INTELLIGENCE! Dont tell me your Ashley prices are the rock bottom prices and that, if I go on the Ashley website, the prices are twice as much, when I can easily look it up and find out for myself that theyre actually less by a little bit. This is 2020. Everyone over the age of 2 has a cell phone. The days of the snake oil salesman are gone, and so is this good customer.

Delivery people are the biggest scam artists. Agreed to a $60 shakedown for 2 extra flights of stairs and they drove off with half of my delivery. I did not sign for anything. Next scheduled delivery instructed them to carry couch up the stairs. Refusal again. My building super got involved and after unnecessary arguments. They finally delivered it. Still missing 4 throw pillows. Super informed me later that first helper complained to him that I only paid him 20 for the job. That was his tip on the sly to hide from the driver. So Im guessing the drivers are scamming their helpers as well.

Do not go to value city, they take your money, but the furniture takes forever and they dont want to give your money back, it was a terrible experience, they need new and better policies

Ordered ~$6k worth of furniture in late summer 2020 and as of today, December 20th, there still isn’t even an ETA on the order. No other company has had a delay like this and it honestly feeling like a bad joke at this point.

Purchased two sofas from the Value City in Bayonne, NJ. Due to logistics, we ended up working with two reps - Theo and Anna - who were both very helpful in answering questions about the products.Delivery was scheduled at time of purchase and items were delivered as scheduled, in great condition (delivery was free, but we did tip the deliverymen).Sofas look and feel great! We purchased the warranty and hope we never have to use it!

This was our second time purchasing from Value City in Bayonne. Mike was our representative in both cases and he is awesome to work with in the process of buying furniture. He has strong knowledge of Value City’s inventory and business, giving us straight-forward information from start to finish. He is also very polite, professional and patient. Value City has awesome short-term sales, which Mike was helpful in communicating to get the best price for his customers. We are very happy with the quality of the pieces we purchased and in both cases, received better pricing than other furniture retailers in the area and even the manufacturer’s (Ashley Home) direct website. We will continue to return to Value City to shop for furniture of all kinds.

The salesperson was very knowledgeable and professional; the rest of the staff was friendly and courteous as well. However, I didn’t give them five stars because the paperwork took longer than expected (we were in the store for over two hours) and they ended up delivering the bed to the wrong address! Overall, I’m very happy with the quality of the bed we purchased and we would consider shopping there again in the future!

A beautiful table, everyone loves it. We use it as an office conference table - it’s attractive and sleek, and plenty sturdy. customer service was professional and lots of help with some delivery requests we had. It’s a very heavy table, though. Either order it with white glove service, where it will be built for you, or have three strong people prepared to accept & assemble it. Once assembled it’s relatively easy to move if necessary. The table is excellent value for the price.

I had a bedroom set being delivered on the 1st of July to my new apartment but had to reschedule because driver was there too early for me to get in the building. I rescheduled for today 7/5 because the rep saw I had a dining set being delivered that day. Now I call and no bedroom set on the truck for today and my gf and I are getting multiple different stories about why. First warehouse rep said there was no reschedule then my gf called back she told her there was a truck problem, and then she called back again they said they are looking for the mattress. I have no idea what is going on but I’m FURIOUS with the service! I DO NOT RECOMMEND VALUE CITY AT ALL‼️

We got plenty of Furnitures in president’s sale. But unfortunately my dinning chairs and small one sit sofa wasn’t in good condition. All Of 6 dinning chairs had scratches and uneven of colors. One of the chair was is shaky.My tiny sofa also shaky because of off it’s leg is shaky. They don’t look good. Finger crossed for other items condition and they yet to be delivered. I sent email to shop and customer support regarding these along with pictures and photos/ videos, nobody got back to us:(.

Convenient location to where I currently live. Our sales rep Pepsi was very nice and made the process easy for us. I knew exactly what I was looking for and Pepsi was readily available to help us. My daughter is excited about her new bedroom set that will hopefully be delivered soon.

While the store has a good selection, I find that their items, especially recliners, are overpriced. They advertised a 50% black Friday sale and there were many recliners marked 50% off. However, the new prices were between $500 and $800. For recliners. So the original prices were double that. I went back after the sale was over and saw a recliner that was $600 on black Friday, back at regular price. The new regular price: $800. Very suspicious.

I went here last night to buy a dinner table after visiting a few other places before hand and I was pleasently surprised. Jeff greeted us right away but also gave us room to explore and decide. He was very helpful, did everything he could for us and gave us an overall great experience. Also they have a wide variety of designs in furniture and the prices are fabulous!! I’d definitely recommend it!

Just got off the phone with this terrible business. Last weekend (Sunday 03/24/19) my girlfriend and I purchased a bedroom set including mattress and box spring. The items were not in stock however we were told that they would be coming in on Thursday. We were advised we would receive a confirmation phone call with a time window for delivery and we scheduled the delivery for Saturday 03/30/19. Got the call as promised on Thursday and that is when things went sideways. Was told that delivery could not be made until next Friday 04/05/19. When I responded that our delivery had been scheduled and I had the paperwork saying as much I was told that I was mistaken. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told, quite laughably, that no manager would be available until Saturday. Conveniently the same day that delivery was supposed to be made. Not only is it ridiculous to say that there is no manager available for 2 full days but it is insulting to my intelligence. In addition they will to cancel the order without a manager. I will be cancelling my order with them and I would recommend them to no one. If less than 1 star was possible they would get it.

Our whole experience was great! Our sales lady Pepsi has sold us furniture in the past and I enjoy working with her!!! I purchased 2 recliners on a Wednesday and received them on a Friday! The delivery came right when they said they would, the guys were very friendly! I always go to Value City for my furniture needs!

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Alexis who directed me to sectionl area. I then Approached Pepsi to asked if they had any other sectionals or anything to similar to VCF instagram. She immediately dismissed me stating that they only had available what was displayed in the showroom. She was not interested in the photos I was showing her, nor showing me similar items. She was more worried about asking another employee to have childrem removed off a display bed. Its too bad, i actually liked some of their displayed sectionals, but was turned off by her disinterest.

Aaron was so patient and creative with his help. My partner and I are very visual people and he helped us imagine what our ideal dining table and living room table could look like. We love our dining table and are looking forward to working with him again for our couch choice. 10 stars if I could!

Have never walked out of this place unhappy. I have gotten better deals from here than any Bobs discount store I have been too. Quality is a whole lot better here though. I recommend Eifraim or Charles as your salesman, very polite and knowledgeable at what they do. With free delivery on everything you cant go wrong in this place.

I had an incredible experience in this store. I highly recommend Pepsi, shes an excellent salesperson. She showed us exactly what we were looking for, answered all our questions, but also gave us space to discuss our options. We bought a sofa within 15 minutes of entering the store. There is an incredible LACK of communication in that store. I had a problem with my order and had to call the store multiple times and was also hung up on on one occasion! The only two capable people in that store are Kareem and Kelly. When they got involved in the issue it was resolved almost immediately. If you absolutely have to go to this store ask for Kareem or Kelly because they are the only ones who conduct themselves with professionalism. Im really happy with the piece of furniture that I purchased, but the unneeded stress was incredibly unwarranted.

The sales rep Unique I think her name was helped with everything. They answered all my questions and the order was quick and easy. Its a place where you actually get good customer service.

Pepsi is a good sales rep. She allowed me to take my time and was not pushy. She answered my questions and seemed knowledgeable.

We were given a coupon when we walked in, giving us the false sense that it could be used towards any purchase. We were also misled to think that nothing is special order; “every piece of furniture can be ordered with any color or pattern material.” So we did exactly that, only to find out AFTER all the paperwork was done, that we could NOT use the coupon towards our living room set, because it was a “special order!” Meanwhile we are waiting one whole month, and still have not received our furniture! They keep giving us an “estimated date of delivery” Bob’s furniture store delivered in 3 days! I’m beginning to feel unsettled about the whole purchase, and can’t imagine what kind of service I’ll receive IF the furniture is damaged. Signed: Customer waiting to be satisfied!!!

I had a very pleasant experience, the sales person helped me pick a couch in a very courteous manner even though she was already leaving for the day. She gave me the time I needed to pick a very comfortable couch.

Drove through traffic for over an hour to take a look here. Employees and the website said that the store was open until 9:00 p.m., but the store was closed when I got there at 7:35.I have to furnish am entire two bedroom apartment. I only hope that someone post a few thousand in commission.

The absolute worse customer service I have ever dealt with! They give you the run around and are unwilling to make up for their mistakes!!!! My dresser was completely destroyed in a move from Maryland to NYC. I was so hurt because I had just purchased the furniture (had it less than 6 months). I looked at the purchase agreement and called the store. Someone came out and accessed the damaged. I was given a brand new dresser! God bless them! Happy customer!
