I went today for the first time. I found the store to be clean and unencumbered. Walking up and down the aisles went smoothly. A lot of supermarkets place items or displays in the aisles making it difficult to move or to get what you need in the shelves. The store was well stocked and provided variety on most items. I found the prices to be reasonable which surprised me because I was informed that ShopRite was expensive. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I will shop there more often because I was very pleased with the experience.
Not sure of things are changing here because of the pandemic or the holidays coming but whatever you usually get from here may not be there.
Everybody in the store was very polite the prices were Fair and I had a really good experience
This ShopRite has very friendly staff. Also has good delivery options for a reasonable price. I also really appreciate how the labeling and pre tags are very well done, including gluten free tags. My only complaint is that I wish the aisles were just a bit wider because it feels really easy to get stuck in traffic in an aisle.
The Place needs more cashiers but is good
That was good day and the atmosphere made the trip fun. And I did run into more people than I thought would be there.
A reasonable place to get groceries, the caged lepoard is a bit off-putting, but other than that, the prices are great and the staff helpful.
Very huge ShopRite. Everything in this ShopRite always looks well organized and clean. It easy to get what you need and check out.
Customer service rep had to call someone for the key to unlock a case to retrieve an item I wanted. Waited almost 10mins for another employee to show. Store wasnt even busy. Once I got my item, the employee says I have to wait in the customer service reps line to pay for it. By this time, like 6 ppl pulled in the line. Why didnt that csr not have a key? Especially the key to items that could only be paid for at their register. Ridiculous
A pleasant experience. I was able to navigate the store with ease. IN & OUT!
Amazing! Fresh produce! Nice staff!well organized.
I liked the birthday cake for my daughter 21st. It was delicious.
For a shop rite this place is pretty. The employee presence does not disappoint. The lighting is noticeably great but *beware of the deli lady* if she’s having a bad/long day you’ll know.
Not a bad supermarket. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. They usually have a wide selection of products and have competitive prices. Its not high end like whole foods but you can get all your essentials here
Regardless of time of day, be prepared to Wait! The checkout lines are a horror show and getting worse. And make sure you never need the use of the single ladies restroom thats usually occupied and unclean! Most staff is pleasant, but that does not compare to extreme frustration of grocery shopping, that is after searching for a cart!
The meat selection is very good.I couldnt find those meatcuts easily but they have it available and fresh.
Love shopping, but not in a ShopRite. Its like youre trapped in a tiny metal box in this place but you gotta share it with other people and quite frankly its very uncomfortable.Every time I step out of the isle theres always someone stepping out the other isle or coming from the other direction. And theres this awkward tension for a few seconds. Now imagine that like multiple times. Yeah.Besides that, the food variety is very good. I for one, love the Apple Pie.
Store is clean and the selection of what youd expect to find at a larger scale grocery store is pretty good. I think the prices are okay? ~$2 for a container of chicken stock, ~$5 for a frozen pizza, maybe you could do a little better at Target but not awful. It seems to be utterly bombed 24/7 and I really havent gotten a read on whether thats 1) Popularity, given its proximity to Stop & Shop and Walmart, or 2) That the checkout process is understaffed and not fast enough so it backs up, in addition to most everyone making a mad dash for the self checkout with Supermarket Sweep levels of items, only to find they dont know how to operate the machine...What I can get a good read on is that apparently the entire produce section is a borderline health inspection failure at any given moment. Its been multiple times now of purchasing a variety of fresh produce that was perhaps just already bad when Id gotten it, because the timeline between purchase and use I dont think would have lead to spoilage anyway. Were talking cabbage, brussels sprouts, very dense, cruciferous items stored in a refrigerator set to near freezing, and removed for intended use within 2 days tops, only to find mold and dead pockets inside the produce. Currently my entire home now smells awful thanks to a bag of rotten brussels sprouts purchased on Saturday (its Monday), that will not be part of dinner now.Could these items be returned for a refund, Im sure. I could go all 24 blocks back with a bag of rotting vegetables to get my money back, or exchange for, Im sure, different rotting vegetables presently on display, but its a little late now that I have nothing to cook for dinner yet again. Maybe they could just stop stocking the shelves with produce way beyond its prime?
Nice and big place to shop. This is the biggest Shoprite Ive been to in the northern part of New Jersey. All the departments occupies a good chunk area make it easy to locate what you need to find. All items of all the brand names are in store, on site!Great place to shop for grocery!
Traveled to ShopRite for a specific sale on Pure Light Spring Water and none was available in store and No Rainchecks were issued..Truly disappointed...
I was at the self checkout and the machine made an error message, I called the service man but this message keep popping up even after the service man scans his card but when I called him last time he gave me an attitude and yelled at me. He can’t do his job right. Even the costumer that was behind me started yelling at me too (even if it was not her business). This ShopRite became out of control since the current manager took this role.
Very clean, very big Shoprite. I love it.
It’s very organized and it’s has everything I need. The shelves are always stocked so that’s a plus
Small stor compared to other shoprite in other area
Stopped in the store twice while visiting Bayonne, the first day, I decided to do self check out, a customer kept watching like something was wrong and when we left, heard him say to someone else that we didnt pay for our items. Wanted to step toward him and have a few words about his comment but instead I smiled at him, then walked away, deciding he wasnt worth being bothered with.
Very big stock here always fresh,Friends recommend me to go to this place, I wasnt interesting because that wasnt in my way to go home but i try it.My expectation was very positive they have everything like different market place but price very good, Now forever i have choice i try to used only them.I highly recommend it.
Worst Deli EVER!!!! Dont waste the money or irritation
I like this shop rite. Its well stocked for the most part. It can get crowded at times. Staff are friendly. Prices are good too. Definitely better than Jersey City Shop Rite and cheaper than the Acme on 440.
No chicken and that was on sale.last time breasts were on sale there was non neither than or now..
Employees are rude an obnoxious, very crowded on weekdays, not worth trip, except for wine shop, better off going to Walmart or Stop and Shop/Costco.
It was little busy but it was easy to shop and no lines for check out. I tried sign up for a shop rite card but customer service was to long so I couldnt do it because the wait was 20 minutes.
Great place to get things you need from fresh produce to packaged food. Reasonably priced and items available in small pakaging/quantity so no need to buy in bulk like hulk ;)
Some items are cheaper than stop and shop but not many that in interested inCat food and litter are more expensive and very limitedI do enjoy the bakery better bagels and pastries
Typical ShopRite, good prices... but too small of a location
Always good. Clean and everything I need
Quite large and busy... Pretty much found everything I needed. The checkout counters were cleaned between every customer and 6 ft distance was mandatory and everyone was wearing masks... Happy to see that they are doing their best to take all safety precautions.
Great sales, can can sale, buy certain items get other free, and check out is awesome, usually very fast weather you do it yourself or cashiers.
Great except for not enough on the Fresh Express salads.
Its amazing to see how many people were walking around this store with out wearing a mask properly. There was a man with a DRIPPING nose shopping for corn on the cob... no thank you.
Always a great shopping experience!
I love going there. Its convenient, people are nice and the food is fresh.
Bad service ever! The lady supervisor for night time she thing she is the owner! She start losing her mind! Every time she say something different! She didn’t know anything there ! And the Egyptian cashier worst!
Great prices. Clean with a good variety of products. You can definitely save money of the grocery bill here.
Got my items. In and out. Exactly how I like it.
Really cramped aisles. Good meat department. Even the parking lots are cramped. I went there cause I got a gift card. I have never liked shopping there.
Ive been coming to this ShopRite for years, even before the remodel, and its always been a nice place. A good staff working there, and a great selection of food to choose from. Anything you want, theyll have. And at a good price, too. The parking is pretty decent also. Youll have no problems coming here. Youll enjoy it.
I come to shoprite when I need last minute items. Its always so busy and the lines for checkout are always backed up. It seems there are never enough cashiers to bring the lines down in a timely fashion. Workers are helpful when asked any questions
This store is configured very strangely. It takes a bit of getting used to.
It was good. It is open late which is great. The store was being stocked around 10pm. There were less people there so I was able to get it and get out. I wished there was more variety. Happy then had signs telling us there have been problems with the growers of their produce.
I miss the tank of fish they used to have
Very clean and always stocked.
Well its 5 stars 🌟 👌 🆗️
Nice store. Nice variety.
Biggest Store i have seen they got everything, Everything yes everything
I understand today is Easter But if they had intentions on closing they shouldve put it online as well not just at the window a lot of people showed up to get last minute things or stuff and was turned away they shouldve put it online as well I got out of my bed Thinking that I can get the rest of things that I need it and to top it off I dont feel well and I walked to shoprite.
I like the Shop Rite in many ways. Variety, cleanliness, and friendly staff. The only negative is people not social distancing. Too many people in the store and at times I find myself dangerously surrounded by to many people not following distancing rules.Scary and not safe.
One of the lower levels of hell filled with mutants and shuffling corpses.
LITMOST BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ALIVEBIG FACTSHMU DUTCH WALKER DIAZ ON FB
This clean and friendly location is second to none when thinking of the satisfaction that comes with a family owned establishment.
Nice place to shop!
Not enough registers open; store is disorganized.
ShopRite excellent place to shop always go and noon less people there or in the morning
Pretty good store. A very wide variety of groceries and produce items. In a decent neighborhood, parking however is a bit tricky here.Their prices are fair on everyday items. And they always have sales and what not. Definitely recommend this place if you live locally in the area.I think that also mail out weekly fliers and stuff for sales and coupons.Their sandwich and sushi bar is pretty awesome. They also have a fresh coffee bar and their desserts are really delicious and freshly made.Worth the trip for sure.
Great! Wonderful, helpful and patient cashier in first aisle, 10 items or less.
Plenty of parking space. Walking in you got on the right side of entrance the smell of flowers & on the left side you got the aroma of tasty bakeries. What a great entrance as soon as u walk in..& the guys on the outside working too always help u when u need them..theyre the ones with the gizmo in theyre hand to allow the customers to get the food carriage to operate when going to the parking lot or even entrances when the carriages stop..& they help you with questions if needed..KADOOs to them too.The staff inside are always helpful.
There is no senior hour in my opinion .The line was down to the Blvd at 6:30 .Did not get in until 7:45 only to find empty shelves. The deliveries had not come in yet.Why have a senior hour if shelves are empty? So I had to wait another 35minues to cash out with all the other people so how are you helping us seniors? When my ride came down into the garage I saw people going in and there was people on line outside .These people must be going up the down stairs because they never came back out into the garage .The man that stands at the stairs never stopped any of them. All the delivery trucks were outside waiting to be loaded blocking the roadway we took the other exit out .I am not complaint about that.
This is the worst store I’ve been to, first I go in for the first time after moving back into town and my cashier was extremely unprofessional and rude to me because he didn’t know how to split the bill with two cards and was in a rush to leave he calls the manager over yet called me a Karen and I stood there confused I wasn’t even fighting with the guy . So then I decide to online order and for some reason they had an issue with my card when I called them they said my order was on its way but apparently it wasn’t I waited hours . If your a mom on the go save yourself . Ohh and my first online order was not great at all and their vegetables always look old never fresh .
Abundance of parking available. There are 2-3 lots to choose from with one being underground. They have benches so that the customers can sit I guess if youre feeling flustered or just tired. Its usually pretty busy. The majority of the rep are nice and knowledgeable of where the products are located.
I love it here fast and friendly service
All good except parking.
Need more enforcement of mass rules but otherwise ShopRite is the best.
Its nice to have great places that are staples of the community
They have more to offer than the one in jersey city and more organized
It was crowded but the people who worked there where respectful and fast at the register
A large well organized supermarket that carries all the types of foods you need. It has a large selection of the best looking fresh vegetables and fruits; it has a great bakery section with the best tasting fresh hot bread;. An excellent deli counter where you can get all kinds of fresh cold cuts and cheeses. The deli clerks are expert at slicing the deli meats as thin or as thick as you like them and they are friendly and patient taking your orders.
This location is very nice, well stocked & clean. The employees are very helpful.
Very crowded, no social distancing at registers.
I really love this place itis so beautiful and I really love that we have something like this in Bayonne keep up the good work
Is ok you can fine everything you need
I went to make my shopping but i didnt find carts so i have to use basket which is heavy to carry and small then i decide to leave the store and go to another store
ShopRite in Bayonne thats a very nice and lovely place to shop and its for you bigger than the ShopRite Marin Boulevard in Jersey City five star Ill give it
Though the cashier did not charge me for the plastic bags wich was extremely excellent of her to do. I have to ask one question about the bag ban. What happened to the free paper bags? Or is that not a PC question to ask. I mean really, they are bio degradable after all. Or is this whole thing just an excuse to charge customers for bags. Because I believe thats all it is. Dont tell me that plastic bags are ruining the environment because I want to see real proof of it and not opinions.
I use to shop at ShopRite a lot but for some reason when I move there was a Pathmark in arm reach and thats where I was going. Ever since it change to Acme I was not happy. I found my way back here and for some reason I find it bigger. With the crisis that we are enduring right now they are out of stock with just the same items that the other stores or clubs but still see a lot of eggs, meat and can good to chose from. I hope that when this is all over I will frequent ShopRite on a more non chaotic environment.
Well one of the best groceries store in Bayonne. It is definetelly not a trader joe or whole foods - but better than a 7-eleven )))
This Shop-Rite has been in Bayonne now for years from the original one that opened in 47 then burnt down in 78. Rebuilt and then knocked down and rebuilt with a larger store around 6 yrs. ago. The one thing that hasnt really improved is the quality of customer service. It only seems to have gone downhill. Its located in a central residential area. It does have a underground parking garage and a parking lot across the street but being in the area its in it can become crowded very quickly. Their prices arent bad but not as competitive as in the past. Sometimes you can get better deals on certain items at other stores such as paper products. Their meats arent bad but the same for better deals at other places. Produce is decent as is the rest of their products. Customer service is weak. To many have attitudes when seeking help. If you dont like your job go work somewhere else where you dont have to deal with people. The other drawback is its always crowded and generally fairly long waits at checkout. This supermarket is open from 7A.M. to Midnight. I was hoping it would be a 24 hr. store but it isnt. So best time to shop is when they first open or about an hour before they close. If you can shop at these times then your experience shouldnt be bad.
Pretty good shop rite. Seafood is decent, setup is pretty solid as well. Finally added self checkout which makes checking out a million times better
Sometimes you do better on line.
Lines move fairly quickly. I always find what I need.
I use to vend this one as well along with the walmart and stop and shop.. a city where every body is not afraid to say hello.. and help another out.. this store is not a bad environment.. customer service is some times busy but they get the job done..
Its a good store helpful and like other stores on the city
Large selection of food items, good selection of gluten-free and vegetarian options available. There is also a section with freshly made sushi, also varieties of cheese, bakery goods, and plenty of other nice finds. Prices are reasonable and there are excellent sales. There is a Shop Rite liquor store that you can access by entry through the store. There is a parking lot right across the street. I think there is underground parking too.
Good service, onsite customer restroom and quiet atmosphere for a supermarket. I like
My go to place for shopping and anything needed. Very good staff and patient cashiers. That always smile. And welcome . I miss their big fishtank 😢 but I can understand why it was taken away. Keep it up shoprite. You guys do great work .
