I love The dance Bag. For years been buying all my daughters dance supplies from them. The lady is the sweetest one look and she knows the size. This is my daughters last year of dance. Gonna miss it

We had bought tap shoes for my brother but let the lady know that they probably will not fit. The women behind the counter said it’s fine and that you can return them if they don’t fit. So we went back the next day to return the shoes and there was another lady behind the counter. She rudely stated that we could only have store credit which wasn’t made clear yesterday and it doesn’t help that the sign is on a shelf with ballet shoes that we weren’t looking for. She said that we can go buy them from someone else and that it’s not her fault they are a small business. Not to mention there selection was terrible. Don’t reccomend for anything. As she stated there is places in Poughkeepsie and Peekskill.

I couldn’t be more upset with how this so called “local small business owner has chosen to run her business.”My wife bought tap shoes for my son yesterday. When purchasing these shoes my wife let the woman know that they might not fit because my son has wide feet. She didn’t have time between him getting out of school and his tap class to bring him there to try them on.The women working the counter said it’s fine and that you can return them if they don’t fit. No mention was made that there was a no cash return policy. You would think that anyone would make mention of this when someone tells you they might not fit. There was no visible notice at the register and nothing on the receipt letting customers know about this either.So after trying them on they didn’t fit my son so my wife went back today to return the shoes. There was a different woman working behind the counter. (Apparently she’s the owner - what a gem of a woman she was).She was extremely rude and obnoxious and belittling to my wife who left the store frustrated, angry and almost in tears from the way she was treated.This woman was extremely quick to state their policy and then point out a sign nowhere near the register - it was on a shelf behind the ballet shoes which my wife didnt go anywhere near.The woman then said she’s a small business owner and she can’t possibly afford to take returns and give refunds. Which I find amusing because almost every small business on earth does.She then rudely told my wife that said she could go buy them from someone else and not be subject to her policies.Keep in mind what we were told the day before - she could have cared less. I will also mention that the shop didn’t have the size my son needed so the credit we were forced to take will be going to waste.I know this business is located right next to Yanarella’s so it’s convenient but please do not support this terrible woman buy from the shop in Poughkeepsie or Peekskill if you want to shop local or shop online. At least you’ll be treated with respect.
