This is my escape! Their coffee is hands-down the best in town, Id say better than the larger chains also and I have drank a lot of coffee in my time. Worth every penny, a definite pick me up every stop. Staff rocks and their drive-thru makes it super convenient. Cant show enough love to Higher Grounds :)

Nice coffee shop. Always a great cup of java. They are normally happen to meet reasonable requesting on drink changes. Can get very busy and loud with people coming and going and meetings.

My kiddo and I come here often and after about our 5th visit they had our usual order memorized. The staff is always polite and engaging as well and we love the cozy atmosphere.

I made a quick stop here, and I am grateful I did! When you walk in, there us a small area with locally made goods (jewelry, lotion, soaps, clothes). The aroma of delicious brewed coffee fills the air. Several feet ahead, the counter to order is on your left. They have several coffees already brewed along with a variety of flavored latte and chai options. They have soy and almond milk for their milk alternatives. The staff were warm and helpful. I got coffee and scones all of which were delicious. The spiced chai ranks in some of the top I have ever had! There is also a wall with bulk and pre-package Door County coffee, and you can go through the drive through. If I lived nearer, this place would be a staple!

My fiancé and I were only passing through and needed some coffee so we found here. It’s such a cute little shop with great coffee! We don’t find ourselves in Beaver Damn very often, but I will say, any time we do we will stop by.

Amazing place, especially the ham and cheese half sandwich.

I have been here several times. Normally get their spotted cow or white chocolate mocha. The quality is great and their staff outstanding! Always super nice and peppy. They always brighten my mood a bit when I leave higher grounds!!!

As a student I liked to come here, get the endless cup for a little over two dollars and study for a few hours while enjoying as much as I wanted of the delicious coffee. They have different flavors of regular coffee, the selection of which varies by the day. I also come here with a group of friends every month and find that its a great atmosphere for chatting over a cuppa or two.

I go here often for myself and my coworkers. Best coffee in Beaver Dam and surrounding areas, in my opinion. Flavors are always amazing and the staff is always friendly. My favorite coffee place in Dodge County. The atmosphere is perfect for reading, studying, journaling or just thinking. They have a ton of unique flavors, drinks & bakery items. They sell one of a kind trinkets and locally made lotions, balms and other items. And they host open mic nights! Plus, the name is awesome. ☺

Higher Grounds Coffee Shop is a fantastic place to satisfy your coffee cravings. In addition to coffee, they serve a wide variety of teas and smoothies. Their soups and sandwiches are delicious! They also have some beautiful gifts to choose from. They are also a Dodge Country tourist information center. You can find out all of the happenings in the area. Higher Grounds also has a beautiful back room that can be reserved and rented at a very reasonable price for you next meeting, bridal shower or whatever occasion you might have!

Very nice atmosphere, they were playing some good 90s tunes when I was in there.The coffee was delicious, I went back for more. I didnt think it was very expensive.My one year old was running around and they very nice with her and said they were very family friendly.The pastries were also very delicious.Really enjoyed the experience, will be going back!

Fast friendly service

This is my absolute favorite local coffee house. The coffee always tastes great and the staff is so welcoming. I love the items they have for sale from local businesses. They have vendor markets and other activities throughout the year. Its somewhere you can go and relax without feeling the pressure to hurry and leave.

They nailed my drink! Its hard to have a coffee similarly made to Starbucks but Higher Grounds did an amazing job. Very impressed. Excited to say this has to be my new favey! Plus inside the shop is adorable. They have a ton of cute items for sale as well. Very cute. Prices are comparable to Starbucks as well.

Worth a try. Was there recently and my mom asked if they had sweetened condensed milk. The cashier confirmed they did but when my mom asked if they could make her a drink with it she was turned down. The explanation was they would have to open a can just for her drink and that would be a waste. I used to run a coffee shop and first that is just poor customer service but second, sweetened condensed milk can be covered with foil and put back in the fridge for a long time. I don’t want one staff members response to sour my rating completely, because I have had good experiences here too, but this resulted in us not purchasing much and leaving in dismay.

Good coffee. Now I am a black coffee person. Not flavor drinks. Have gone there with small groups and sipped coffee and listened to friends. Nice selection of reading material on the Dodge county and surrounding areas.

Cozy, inexpensive, great selection, friendly staff. Pretty much everything you could ask for in a small family owned shop and then some. I love the endless coffee in a real mug or travel like Styrofoam cup. Only 2 25 is all it is!!!!!! As much coffee as you want!!!!!!!!!! The staff is amazing they are so friendly and sweet and knowledgeable. They have a bunch of different candies and artwork and coffees and knitted or crocheted items all kinds of amazing things!!!!!!!!

Great place to go whether you are meeting with an old friend, getting to know new friends, or looking for some me-time. Warm atmosphere, friendly workers, and great coffee. I personally love to come for a warm cup of Joe and some time to draw.

Everyone here is always extremely friendly. They will customize any drink if requested (and if possible). They host fun events and the area tourism center is inside, so theres always something to look at or do while there.

This is a lovely community centered coffee house. They offer many opportunities for people to share their skills and products and is a cozy spot to enjoy a coffee in a real mug! Wish this place was around back in my high school days!

Reminds me of a California coffee house I grew up around. Great selection on flavored and gourmet coffee and scrumptious food. I can only give 5 stars, but deserves more.

Great food, beverages and service. I highly recommend using theirmeeting room too. It is very pleasant and has restrooms that are easilyaccessible. Right off of SR 33 and 151 it is easy to find and there is plenty ofparking and a drive thru.

Love the peanut butter mocha! Stopping at Higher Grounds is a MUST when I travel to Horicon Marsh to walk and bird watch. I appreciate that they are open on Sundays. The place seems to always be a gathering place for locals and features local artists work as well.

The coffee drink and smoothie I ordered were very good. However, service was slow and not very friendly. I order one coffee drink and one smoothie in the drive thru. It took over 10 minutes to get it, and I had to pull forward to let someone else get their drink before me. The worst part was when she brought my drink there was no apology for the wait. I was not looking for anything other than the acknowledgement that I had a too long wait. Not sure if I will go back. Sad because I like to support local businesses.
