I bought a hand fed budgie from Bev, for my daughter.My daughter can be shy during new experiences, and she was worried about scaring the bird or getting bit. Bev was very patient! By the end the budgie was perched on my daughters shoulder, and she had decided to go ahead with getting it.Mermaid settled in so quickly, and has been such a great addition to our family! My daughter is sleeping so much better, and loves her new friend very much. Mermaid sings beautifully, and sits on my daughters shoulder, and eats from her hand.Its especially nice that budgies are AWAKE during the day and dont stink!

We bought a baby albino parakeet from Beverly back in November and he is SUCH a riot! She is very knowledgeable and helped us get the bird mansion filled with fun toys to keep him occupied and happy. Her store is now or go-to for anything bird related as she has a ton of of toys and feed to choose from and prices are great. Support local shops like hers!

It was fine. The person at the counter was obviously not very educated on birds because they did not believe that seeds cause issues despite countless studies showing the damage it causes to the liver. They also sold some dangerous toys such as mirrors and cuddle huts which also made me disappointed. Otherwise it was okay, they had what I needed and it was definitely a experience.

Had many different birds, very impressed, but most birds already had an owner. The owner can let you know when more birds are coming. There are many parrots, parrotlets, lovebirds, and cockatails.

I had my GCC stay here for a week on late notice so I appreciate finding this place that’s just down my road! Beverly was very accommodating and let me and my partner get our GCC into his lil cage and settle him in with our own pace. I felt really comfortable during my trip knowing he was in good, caring hands. The price ($12/night) is reasonable. The only thing I wish about the store is that it was open on Monday too so that I could’ve picked my bird up the day after I got back instead of paying for the extra night but I understand staff needs a break, so it’s all well and good! Def coming back to buy some food and toys from their wide selection!

BiZee bird store is great! Bev genuinely cares for all of her feathered house guests. I left my cockatiel in boarding for almost two weeks and didnt have a worry in the world that she wasnt beeing cared for properly. Will definitely board here again.

Bev truly cares about all of her birds. Her love for them shines throughout every aspect of her shop. If you want to support a wonderful local business go here, but not in groups of more than 2-3 because her shop is lovely but tiny! ♡

We just had the most odd experience when visiting this shop. My partner and I were looking for a bird, possibly a cockatiel, and the lady who works here said first thing like the greedy salesperson “are you looking to buy”? Not hello, not how can I help you. We both have small and large bird knowledge and experience and she was outright rude. The whole encounter was very strange and off-putting. We are mid-50s professionals and have never experienced anything so bizarre. We literally couldn’t leave fast enough. What’s the point of a bird shop with no birds? But there were birds there, just not ones customers can look at.

I have such a hard time finding toys for my conure, but not anymore. This place had food and toys for all birds. It was worth the 1 1/2 hr drive to get there.

I took my parakeet to this place to have his nails trimmed. She said she knew what she was doing but didn’t wash her hands before and used a cloth that was full of loops to pick him up. At that point I asked her if she knew what she was doing and she proceeded to trim his nails. When I looked at his feet there was a twisted nail that was bleeding. I said omg he’s bleeding and his claw is twisted. Her reply was: it was nothing I did. I was close to tears and said he could bleed to death. So she took him in another room and put corn starch on it. He was still bleeding so I took him from her. He’s still upset a day later. This has never happened at the bird vet. I will never go back here.

I recently got a baby white faced cockatiel here. He was very tame but it was very hard to get him to eat vegetables and pellets. But it’s definitely better than your normal pet store. They kind of force you to buy stuff like fruit flavored pellets which aren’t very good for birds. But I think this is a good place to get a cockatiel because they’re extremely hard to find even at pet stores! A bonus is that the cockatiels that BiZee Bird Store breeds are all healthier than a pat store!

Nice building and relatively clean and organized shop. I think the toy and food selection here is great, but the birds looked badly taken care of and the staff left some friendliness to be desired. Ive no experience boarding any birds here, so Im not sure what that experience is like, but from what I saw, although the main lady takes care of the birds, Im not sure if its as caring or detail oriented as Id like it to be.

Beverly loves birds and is super knowledgeable. She mixes her own food and our bird loves it. She also does boarding for when you go on vacation and the prices are really reasonable! I will keep going back!

I love this place! Ive been going here since she first opened her doors. I got my two cockatiels from her and they are amazing. One is at least 14 yrs old and the other around 13yrs. this is a wonderful spot to purchase bird food, new toys, and maybe a new friend for your parrot/parakeet. Either way I love it! Its the need to go place for all your bird needs!

I got my Cockatiel, Dorian, from here and she is the sweetest bird ever! The owner is very knowledgeable and was very kind and helpful throughout the process of getting my bird, and all the accessories, food, and the cage. The birds here are very well taken care of and it shows!

I went before 10 days ago and she told me “ I don’t sell any bird” and she didn’t let me to see her birds inside .Why you are open ????!!!!

Drove for over 40 minutes to get to this place as their website stated that they had cages etc for sale really they dont!! theyre a bird breeding house was the few toys and some other things but primarily birds. If Im ever looking for a bird I may go there but otherwise probably not. Was a complete total waste of my time in gas and the young girl that was working with the birds was pretty much Clueless...

Its an amazing place! it helps you find the bird you want. even though the some birds are not for sale you can just play and talk with it and see which bird you want very soon! the owner is very kind, and i can tell she treats the birds with respect. the workers are kind, and would help you or talk to you or give you information about either the bird or about the breed of parrot. they have a big variety of food, and a big variety of toys (some are hand made) also a big variety of birds, and cages and more!

I bring my 2 cockatiels here for wing and toenail clipping, the owner does a great job and is very gentle with them. The store is extra clean and she has a nice selection of toys, perches, food, etc.

Long over due rating....I got recommended by a fellow associate that I work with. I went into the store and though small and an older building, it was what I could see had everything a bird could use or need besides PetsMart obviously. I do support these Smaller Buisnesses and I know the emolyees and the owner does their best with what they have with knowledge and the support they can provide.

This place is wonderful -- I absolutely love it! The birds are all well-cared for, the selection of toys is a great change from the same-old-same-old available at big pet stores, the seed is great, and the people are fantastic. I dont feel uncomfortable asking questions -- Beverly and the other people Ive seen working here are all incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I have boarded my lovebird here, and he came home as loud, happy, and healthy as always.

I live in portland but drive the 30 minutes to go to this place. I get a ton of advice everytime I go in. Sooo much food and treats and toys to choose from. Nail and wing clipping is fast and cheap. If you are looking to buy a bird I would definatly talk to her. She would be there to help you the whole journey!

I will NEVER allow this woman to watch my parakeets ever again. I thought that she was rude and presumptuous. She bluntly criticized my husbandry for getting my birds to drink from water bottles instead of bowls.
