This camera store is AMAZING!!!!! Can’t recommend it enough!! Erika was incredibly personable, kind, patient, knowledgeable and helpful! She assisted me in thinking through my options and helped me make the best decision for my camera needs! I love that they are locally owned and operated! You can tell they all really care about their customers. I was also able to finance my purchase which I’m really grateful for and I appreciate that they offer this for purchases over $1000. They also gave me coupons for different services and a free lens rental with my purchase! I can’t recommend them enough!!

I am sorry to rate this so low. I appreciate service given. However, I have read a rating about an issue that is exactly the same as mine and I feel it should be addressed. I put in an order of pictures to be printed. I got notification my pictures were ready and went out of my way to go pick them up. The people were super nice but told me the pics were actually NOT ready. Some of them had to be printed in a different store. I understand that the notification system is run by a third party but I think Shutterbug needs to address this. It is time. No one likes to make multiple trips. Notification should be given only when the entire order is ready.Again, the staff were super nice and friendly! My issue is the notification system.

I really appreciate the hometown service that I receive at our local Shutterbug in Beaverton. Jon and the rest of the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Its wonderful having this resource without having to order online! Im off to enjoy my new Canon R5...

We visited today to ask some questions about lens options and look around. My husband and I are both working to get out of auto mode and capture more professional level images. The customer service was fantastic, he really took the time to find out our skill levels and made some great suggestions for us to follow up with. We did buy one lens today and will return soon for more.

John was amazing! He told me all about the differences of dslr and mirrorless and I decided to go mirrorless! He also shared about different camera lens systems and companies. I will be coming here for all my camera needs ! He is so informative and helpful ! Great customer service.

Great place to get photos developed (been in there 3x for film) however, staff has been rude each time Ive gone in. I hate to say this but just really really bad customer service. Somehow I feel as though Im an inconvenience and very stupid for getting film developed. Or buying film. Its like the guy who has helped me every time hates me. Very odd (but very good place to go for a good price!!)

I have been in to the store a couple times and recently attended their photography walk at, The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. Everyone I have encountered has been very friendly and helpful. The photo walk was so fun. It was nice they let us try some of their lenses. I will definitely keep going back. Customer service is outstanding!!

I believe; I have been overcharged today by Beaverton store and need a justification. The Beaverton store seems to have no clear pricing policy in place.Each employee seems to apply a different pricing list and charging customers accordingly. Also their employees are not alike, some employees are very nice and decent, others are very rude.For 8 US Passport Photos; sometimes they charge $12.99, another time charged $21.99 and a third time charged $21.99 for 18 US Passport photos!!! Nothing clear.No employee would give you a clear answer how many photos in a set!!! How can 8 photos be divided by three sets?!!! When employees get asked that question some of them will answer a set has 2 photos while others will tell you a set has 4!!!! No clear answer.What are the bases of charging customers in that store? How services are priced? Nothing is clear at all.It will be the last time for me to ever do business with this store.

I often buy their stock of Lomographic 35mm rolls, amazing that they have them. I get all my film developed here as well, color 35mm is very quick and often done by next day. Theyre very quick with B&W and 120/620 even with having to send them to a different location.

I came here to buy a good starter camera. Ended up getting a Sony A6000. Jordan M was such a big help. Great customer service! Personable! Will definitely be back for more camera accessories!

I love photography and my camera. I needed it cleaned and had no clue where to go or how much. I called they told me what was needed and the cost and said it would take an hour. When I got in there awhile later they looked at my camera and confirmed exactly what they said on the phone. I had lunch and they had it done in an hour. for $50. I took pictures today and they are amazing! So clean, no spots and I am just beyond pleased! Thank you!

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, great selection with competetive pricing (even compared to online options), plus a convenient location in Beaverton near easy highway access. I visited this storefront after confirming over the phone that they did in fact have a Canon T7i in stock and on display (one of the only shops in Portland with this model). From the manager to the sales associates this is one of my favorite shutterbug locations. Came in looking for a used lens and the manager was able to show me a great special on a new lens. Yayyyy came back the following week and purchased a fantastic used camera for my grandson. Super prices and super knowledgeable helpful people. Why buy online when you can go into a store and actually hold the camera in your hand for the same price.

I had an amazing experience here! I came in with no idea what camera I needed and the woman working (totally blanking on her name but she had dark brown hair) was incredible! she listened to my needs/budget and helped me select the perfect camera. I’ve used it on a couple trips already and I love it.She was great at being informative but never made me feel stupid for all my questions. I was also developing film and the team here got the order ready in 3 hours.10/10 would recommend coming here for all your photo needs and I will definitely be coming back.

Very helpful staff. I got my Canon R6 from here. I tried out a few lenses with my camera for future buying. I am coming back here for all my future camera needs.

Ive been in a few times now to get some color 35mm film developed. The turn around was within the same day. They asked me how I wanted the film cut, and they and sleeved the negatives. This last weekend they had a free film Friday and I got an additional roll developed. They did the same good job on that roll as they did the paid rolls. Film prices were competitive too. Overall for color shots its a great price and Ill be back when I need more film developed.

I recently got back into analog photography and the people at the shutterbug have been nothing but friendly and helpful. They’ve done everything from recommending different 35mm film to try to helping troubleshoot camera issues to developing my film for me. 5 stars 10/10 would recommend for your photography needs.

I could write a long positive review because I was treat in a very positive way. However, I have chose to keep the review somewhat condensed and to the point.Who am I .... a smart phone point and shoot guy with a desire to up my game.My first contact at The Shutterbug was Dave. Dave showed me showed me the utmost respect and made me feel at ease in an area I had little knowledge. Dave sized me up and presented me several camera choices. I narrowed the choices down to one camera. Dave gave me a lot of information to take home to think about and research to verify my choice was what I really wanted.A week later I went back prepared to buy and have some questions answered which were raised from my research. Dave was busy when I went back and I was helped by Erica.Erica is an amazing lady. The best way I can describe Erica is ------- Eager, Energetic, Enthusiastic. When Erica found out I was a novice, she got excited knowing she would be able to help me get started. She showed a genuine desire to help me make a purchase that was the right fit.I asked Erica about lens options and she showed me three lenses she felt would cover most situations this novice would come across.After the camera body and lenses were settled, I asked about accessories. Erica got excited that she could set me up the same bag and tripod she uses and loves. She showed me filters and explained theirs uses and then wrote the uses on the cases.It was inspiring to have someone as enthusiastic as Erica to help you.Because I bought a body and lenses separate, the body had to be ordered. When I went to pick up the body, Erica wasnt in. Dave helped me. He set up the camera, talked about each lens, gave me a short lesson on getting started, enrolled me in a class, and opened himself up to question.In closing ---- great store, great staff, comfortable atmosphere. I went in to browse around and simply mentioned a white-balance issue I was having with a new mono-light. They knew exactly what my issue was, I made the correction and it was perfect! They REALLY know what theyre doing! This week I took my camera in for a sensor cleaning, not only did they get right on it - there was some sort of spot issue and they took the extra time to make sure it was cleaned successfully. Great service and knowledge!

My sons Interest in exploring film cameras had me wade in to an area of expertise at a point in my life when I thought I was done with it, thanks to the expertise and willingness to educate and inform by their sales associate David, I am confident I can continue to support my son’s love of photography. Shutterbug is an excellent resource not only for developing, camera film and yes even buying cameras but mostly for very human interface and education. The staff that helps me here at the store really great. I had decided to purchase one of the cheaper tripods. During a project I was working, I experienced some issues with the locking mechanism of the legs. I took the tripod back to the store and they helped me find a better tripod. They return the other one no questions asked and even gave me a discount on the new tripod. The staff was very nice. I would certainly go here again over any online retailers. The process was so much easier and they helped me when I had an issue.

Most of the time the staff are amazing, their location is nice and the staff are super helpful and knowledgeable, if youre looking for camera equipment definitely take look here first.

I happened across Shutterbug when doing some nearby shopping. I bought an underwater camera for an upcoming trip. The sales attendant was very helpful and their prices were lower than the major online retailers! A great place to shop local.

The staff was SUPER helpful! They walked me through how to find out the shutter count on my D90 over the phone. They turned what in my mind was a super complicated problem into a quick fix. They were very friendly and able to answer all of my questions. Highly recommend this place and applause them for outstanding customer service!!! I think I spoke with David. Great guy.

Polite and quick. Just know that sometimes they will close the photo printing studio part a little early. So if you want passport photos, reach more than 30 minutes before they close. Otherwise, they can take pictures but photos will be available the next day.

This place is amazing! I called and asked for Polaroid 600 film (a really rare and hard to get film). I was searching all day for a store to have it and be open on a Sunday. They had it. The employee said they could set one aside for me. Amazing customer care and very friendly. I highly recommend to shop here for camera supplies.

Great staff ! They were very in tune with cameras + tech and offered great solutions. I came in with a checklist of issues, and they were able to provide solutions and tons of patience! Lol! One of their usuals came in and even helped them help me ! I only came in here because Best Buy wasn’t any help, they sold me an item that did not solve my issue. Dave (I think that’s his name) was able to identify my needs and even assisted me in digging into other tech issues. Highly recommend them for any camera / tech issue.

The Shutterbug has been my go-to camera video source since 1977. And of all the Shutterbug locations, the BEAVERTON location has become my favorite for over the past 10 yrs. Mgr David has been a wealth of expert information along with his staff have been invaluable. I went in the other day not expecting to buy a camera that very day, but more-so to get information on which camera would be the best for me as a beginner. In the end though, I walked out of that store with the perfect camera for me! The employee who helped me (David) was very informative and very helpful. Once I told him my general needs and my experience, he immediately knew which cameras to show me! I ended up going with the Canon Rebel SL2 since I absolutely loved the feel of it and loved how easy it was to take pictures with. Ive fallen in love with that camera, and Im VERY grateful to David for recommending it to me, along with giving me a ton of useful information that will definitely help me in the long run! We went to the Portland location and was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service. There were several customers and only two employees working. They helped everyone with a smile on their faces. Erica took the time to answer all my questions and explain features I wasnt aware of on the camera I was looking at. I made my purchase and went next door to play with my new Canon 70D Mark II. I needed a memory card and went back - they were closing. Kyle let me in and took care of me even though it was after hours. Go see these people!!!

David Lenker was awesome and answered every question I had. He was extremely kind and helpful. I had never met him before, but by the time I left, we felt like friends. I went in with some basic questions around 1 PM on 10-26. I wish I could give the name of the young man who helped me but I did not get it during my visit. He could not have been more helpful, positive and professional. I would not hesitate to work with him again should I need help in any fashion with my camera needs!

The employees were very helpful in working out a trade. I didnt have much trade-in value for my equipment, but they helped me find something of equal price that Ive found to be useful. They were also good at providing strong examples of how to use specialized equipment. Theyre now on my list of camera stores to visit for new purchases.

In advance of my recent trip to Alaska, David at the Beaverton Shutterbug went above and beyond to help me get up and running and comfortable/confident with my new generation Sony Mirrorless camera. I dropped my camera, shattered my UV filter on my lens, brought it straight here and they were able to remove the filter and clean away the glass without a SCRATCH on the lens underneath. Thank you thank you! These guys are great!

When there to get a charger for my battery. Showed the guy what I kind of battery I had and he goes and gets the charge that supposed to be for mine. Get home and isn’t the right one. Go back to get an exchange but they said they don’t exchange when it’s open already. So there goes $30

The staff at this location have been extremely helpful to me. I have bought equipment there at reasonable prices and always get support from them with anything I have or buy.

The staff was not friendly. Every opportunity they got they told me what was wrong with and why I should get rid of the camera I bought. I felt very pushed and unappreciated. And to top it all off, I was looking to get a lens not a camera! I took my business elsewhere. Its sad in this day and age when customer service is so neglected.

It was my first time, and probably last time I purchased a DSLR from The shutterbug. The thing which disappoints me is, that they sale open box cameras, for the same price as new ones. Open box includes returns of customers and on display devices. Had to return my purchase after finding missing accessories. I dont recommend buying from this shop.
