Anita is always so helpful. Have been going here for 27 years... Started with my friend in middle school taking dance. Then, my daughter doing ballet. Amazing place to get Pointe shoes!!!

Took my daughter, who is 3, to get her first dance shoes and outfits here. The woman who helped us was so attentive and let us know what we needed to get since we were a little in the dark about what attire was required. She helped pick out some outfits for my daughter and she had such a blast trying them on. Great experience and so helpful

We have always had amazing service. My daughter is getting into advance ballet and I couldnt think of a Christmas gift so someone mentioned a practice tutu. My daughter was so excited when she opened the gift. It was perfect. And their attention to detail when trying on point shoes is second to none. We dont go anywhere else now.

I just returned from Dance Togs less than an hour ago, and the trip could not have gone any better. The people working were so friendly, and they were all so quick to help me :) I really appreciated them all, and it was so easy to find everything I needed for my open showing. I have absolutely no complaints for this store, and I recommend this place for anyone who needs anything dance-oriented. Everyone was so sweet and endearing :) thanks, Dance Togs workers, you guys were awesome!

Im an adult, and plus size, when I went in there to look for some dance items (I take class twice a week) they were rude to me, and wouldnt even ask if i needed help... just stared at me and watched me walk around like i was going to steal something! Extremely unfriendly. Even was pretending to be restocking a shelf close to where I was looking (had nothing in their hand and kept looking at am) Ill never go back! Tons of other dance stores in Portland that are friendly to ALL dancers!!

Great people, they are dancers and know just what I have been looking for.

The staff seemed very pleasant, and I wouldve been happy to work with them, but the owner was a different story.Id never been in and I wanted to visit the store to see if they carried sizes for my 3 year old daughter, I stated that I wanted my daughter fitted to see what size ballet shoe she might need and to see their prices. The staff was ready to help and I feel wouldve done more had the owner not been standing over us, she was I quote confused as to what I wanted, even after I said very clearly that I wanted to know what size my daughter would need. At first she wasnt even going to let the girl help me because they were arranging some merchandise, and she told me someone else would be out to help, but the girl wanted to help and did. I guess the fact that I didnt intend to spend money right then and there didnt appeal to her. So instead she treated me like a child barking orders at me and at her employee, and only let the girl helping me try one shoe on that didnt fit and I was to take her word that she knew what size my daughter needed just by looking at a shoe that didnt fit. She may have many years of experience with fittings but not enough on how to treat customers. I might be back because of the rest of the staff but I will make a point to avoid her. A good sales tip is to treat every customer as though they are about to spend a lot of money even if they dont right then because when they come back they just might. Ugliness is a sure deterrent.

We just had a great experience at Dance Togs. Danny and Gail spent over an hour making sure my daughter had the right pointe shoes for her feet. They were knowledgeable, friendly and very funny and made the experience extremely pleasant. We will definitely be back the next time she needs new shoes.

The prices are kinda pricey but the do have sales and those are really good deals if they have your size $10 pointed shoes but having your size is rare for those deals unless you have tiny feet they hardly ever have my daughters sizes for anything so it is always hit or miss

It had everything I needed for starting ballet and pointe! Love It! although it does close early making it hard to fit into a busy schedule.

Staff provides the best fit for Pointe shoes, schedule an appointment for no waiting. Lots of dance wear options, displayed for easy browsing.

Dance Togs didnt have my size of shoe in the store so they said they would order it for me. That was about three weeks ago, and they said they would be getting my shoes in around the 14th. We called to see if they had come in yet. They told us that they were on back order. We had a different store check for us too, the shoe was available but we dont have time to oder it. so now a few days from opening night and I have no shoes for the tap numbers Im in, I only have my shoes for my acting scenes.

Our favorite road trip for Pointe shoes

Only had one bag of shoe rosin and we drove an hour to see then give it to the customer in front of us. Very frustrating and overpriced.
