5 stars for Joan at Zwickers. She was so helpful; Making sure my skates and helmet fit properly and were comfortable. Explaining how to hold a stick. As someone who is new to the sport I appreciated her time.

Hands down the best skate & hockey shop around! Perfect and consistent sharpening every time! We even bought multiple sets of blades to sharpen and ship up to our daughter while she was playing up at school. Nothing beats that confidence of heading into a corner with the sharpening just the way you want it. Hockey will be all about effort and skill and not worrying about proper equipment if you get outfitted from Zwickers! All that and expert repairs with quick turnaround times!They always recommended equipment by what was best for our kids rather than by price. Now that our kids can finally drive themselves (and pay) we miss talking hockey with the knowledgeable and friendly staff at Zwickers!

Was in Boston for my sons hockey tournament and on the morning of a game I noticed his rivets had snapped on the back of one skate. The guys repaired it and jumped us to the front of the line. When he moves here in Aug he will be using Zwicker 100%. Thanks!!

The staff at Zwicker especially the manager Stacey has always been honest and helpful to me. They are a great store and resource for hockey players from beginners to the seasoned. From a consumers perspective, their pricing are competitive for retailers but you will get an honest and real assessment of the equipments as well as good post sale services. I had trouble with the fitting of my Bauer Vapor X600 skates and even after a year of wear and tear, Zwicker would still willing to reheat my skates to correct the adjustments for me. Most of the folks who work at Zwicker love and play hockey. Zwicker is the place for hockey players.

It is a rip off - scam operation. Do not buy your equipment here. Go to a larger store or Amazon. You can easily return equipment if you are not happy. Bought kids ice hockey skates. At the time of purchase they charged me for blade sharpening and new laces which was 25% over the skates price. If you are selling used equipment at least make sure they are ready for sale rather than making me pay for blade sharpening and laces over the purchase price. Felt mugged at that time itself!!Went back to return after just after one session (5-6 classes) and found out that they would give me a store credit only for 20% of the original transaction. No thanks you bandits!! I will happily give away the skates to charity instead. These guys do not deserve even one star but the review software does not allow a post without a star.

Not a ton of skates to choose from but the employees there are very helpful!

A former professional player my teenage son has been playing for a while and we have been to the other stores where a lot of people go. I will not go back to the others when it comes to skates. Zwicker knowledge of the game and the newer technology in the equipment is of value. They are an experienced staff, hands down. Going their I was told the skates I paid big money for last time my son needed skates where not sized properly. I just bought a pair of skates a 1/2 size smaller. Not to mention the Zwicker price was $100 less than the other stores. Next time you need skates, the Zwicker team will guide you in the right direction.

Best skate sharpening around and the staff is great... A lot of them have been here for a long time. They might be family. I thought since they are smaller their prices would be high, but its the opposite. Theit prices are more than reasonable and you can get a break on last years equipment. Plus Id rather give my money to the local mom and pop shop.In regards to the review before this one .. the person wanted to return used equipment after 5-6 skates and they were bent out of shape, because they would only give them a store credit. Its used equipment what did you expect? These are the people that drive me crazy...What a jerk to call these folks rip off bandits....Theyre exactly the opposite..Thanks,Shaun

Im a big fan of this place. Good staff good equipment and the have a pretty good selection of used gear. Not much for goalies though.

Great for equipment repairs. Im a goalie and wanted to refresh some of my worn out gloves. They put re-laced my glove with skate lace and put a new mitt on my blocker. A+ work

Well worth the 90 minute drive... patient, knowledgeable and friendly couldnt ask for better service (boot modification) will certainly return as a customer!

I desperately needed a hockey stick for a charity hockey tournament I was playing and I was surprised of the selection they had for such reasonable prices and the service I had there was very helpful.

At 66 decided to learn to skate, had a low cost beginner skate (Bauer) given to me. Had several issues to start with. Stopped at Zwickers to figure out what was wrong. Very professional, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and great service. Even though I didnt buy the skates there they took the time to have me walk in them and figure out the problem. Moved the blade over 1/4 inch at a very reasonable cost and 1 day turnaround. Couldnt be any happier with the people and service. A+Dennis fm Billerica.
