The folks that work there are exceptional.. Todd, Nancy and Rory, the head of the service department and Jason, Nick and Cam are the best. Those folks always go above and beyond to help their customers have a great pool experience and they are working twice as hard because they are understaffed because so many people right now dont want to work. I applaud you all for getting us through this season kudos

I went into blue dolphin to inquire about purchasing a hot tub. They had two on display but nothing visible to me as to cost or the features of each. Since no one came to assist, I went to their check out line to talk with an employee. One employee helped a customer in front of me, the other was at his station head down ignoring me. Not even looking up to say he can’t assist me. Finally another employee came and asked how he can help. I told him I was interested in hot tubs. He told me we don’t have any to sell until towards end of summer. Then he told me a website to go to ( the manufacturer of hot tubs they sell). to look it up, I was dumbfounded by the pure lack of any attempt of service. I’ll be buying a hot tub, but not from blue dolphin.
Service is great and prices are competitive. What more do you need from your pool place.
Bought the pool in June 2020 and was referred to two installers. No assistance with having pool installed otherwise. It is now June of 2021 and my pool is still sitting in boxes in my garage awaiting for an install company. Ready to return it and buy a pool from a company that installs their own!
Never use Blue Dolphin Pools & Spas Inc! Blue Dolphin installed a brand new pool liner over five years ago and after hundreds of calls, emails, visits to their store, promises they would be there to fix it they haven’t. Below are pictures (I just took the cover off the pool so it hasn’t been cleaned yet) but you can see by the pictures they do very subpar work (and that’s being nice) once you pay them they do not follow up. Please share with others so they don’t have this happen to them.Blue Dolphin does not stand by their work! I have spoken with so many people who have had this happen to them and to people who have worked there. They agree that the man who owns this company does not stand behind his work. To add insult to injury, he replied stating that he has no record of my attempts. Wow... just wow.
This place is the best. It has almost anything you need for any kind of pool. And the people are so friendly, courteous, and helpful. They will go to the end of the earth to help and assist you.

The owner has been doing this for years and was so helpful in helping us understand the trade-offs. We appreciated the honesty of their sharing their strengths and areas where they are developing. For instance, I wanted a feature that wasnt currently in their wheelhouse to their level of comfort. Together we formulated a plan and were thrilled with the outcome. The people doing the work come installation time were incredibly hard working but were always courteous and friendly. At the close of the project, they felt like family. A special call out to Scott who has such a calm demeanor and was amazing. Our one challenge was in regards to communication. It was at times tough to understand exactly where we were in the course of the project, or whether certain outstanding issues were going to be addressed. In the end, our happiness was the most important and they stood behind every promise and addressed every wrinkle. I think that the communication issues are likely a symptom of the industry that tries to do so much, so fast, in such a small period of time. These guys are working endless hours and are committed. Its just hard to know that when it is your first time. I am so happy that we chose Blue Dolphin and will recommend them to anyone. We love our pool!
The crew was great. The came in and unlike other contractors we have dealt with,, they stayed on and finished it. Contacting them was not difficult and they were responsive. They always answered our questions timely. I would highly recommend them for any pool needs. Our pool came out nicely. We are totally pleased with Dolphin Pools
Had a really bad experience with blue dolphins clerk jean Beaulieu. He was disrespectful, arrogant, antagonistic and obnoxious. I can assure BD that I will never buy anything from them again.
We were pleasantly surprised to learn how knowledgable Jean and his staff were. They did not rush us and were very open to take there time to compare different options. We now cannot wait until next spring to have our pool installed and up and running.
At least they sold us the right liner. BUT... they recommended 2 liner installers that were subpar and didnt care that the contractors they recommend are poor. The 1st contractor (Chad from Aquaduct) ghosted us. Fine. The 2nd (Matt from Granite State Pools, a complete jerk) had us jumping through hoops til all hours of the night, pumping out rain water, cutting out the bottom of our own liner, etc, all to leave us with a half torn down old liner without saying a word... he just left (photo of what he left us with)! When I called Blue Dolphin to have another contractor recommended the associate was very rude, never had a contractor call us, and never returned my phone call or addressed the issue. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their customer service and professionalism is lacking 10-fold.
Well I’m not really sure what to say about blue dolphin pools. I hired them for a pool cleaning &test/ balance the water. Two guys came out, they cleaned the pool and put chemicals in the water. Unfortunately they pool was still very dirty, and it ended up been very cloudy and green after this visit. I took my water to be tested at a different pool company near me and my chlorine levels were super elevated resulting in staining greenish/yellow in the pool. I also ended up buying an electric vacuum and doing it myself. After several treatments as recommended by a different pool company My pool is crystal clear. I gave blue dolphin 2stars as the guys were friendly and did help get 60% of the dirt out of the pool. However I hired them expecting 100% so I was super bummed.
1st time shopping at blue dolphin, I Stopped in to get some chlorine which was priced well, as alot of other pool places are price gouging, great customer service as I got some great advice in regards to opening the pool.
Beautiful Viking Pool, $75K. Neither Gene or Lisa will return my call. If youre looking for service after the sale you wont find it at Blue Dolphin.Ps. Cartridge filter and Frog Chlorine system dont work well. I could be doing something wrong but I dont know because they wont call me back to answer my question.
I would not recommend Blue Dolphin Pool and Spa to anyone. I have never seen such bad customer service ever. Extremely poor. I’ve had the manager laugh at me over the phone and hang up because I asked him a question about my pool filter. I also had them come out for a spring open and they didn’t even clean the leaves off my cover they ended up at the bottom of my pool. Also they didn’t have the common courtesy to tell me that my pool was to full and won’t filter they just turned my filter on and left. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN HORRIBLE!!!!!
We were hunting for our first hot tub and stopped in to see what they had to offer. They were only our second stop so we did not purchase and kept shopping. In the end, they definitely carried the better product with a lot more options than other stores. The salesman Todd was also great - very honest and extremely helpful with some general advise on placement with our deck. The only missing option was financing.
I sat down with Gene from Blue Dolphin Pools in around June of this year (2020) and discussed my options for a pool. Gene was great with helping me choose the pool that was perfect for my family and he also set realistic expectations. COVID has effected everyone and every business differently. For the pool business things were backed up tremendously and I was worried that it would delay my construction. Gene told me from day 1 that I would have a pool in the ground around October 1 and as of yesterday (10/7) my pool is in the ground. I never had to follow up with anyone from Blue Dolphin, they were on top of everything. The team of Blue Dolphin (everyone included in my project - sorry for not remembering names) from Gene, to Lisa, to Bob, and to the man in the trenches Scotty, all greatly exceed all expectations. Scotty and his team would arrive early in the morning to work on my pool and wouldnt leave until it was completely dark out. He walked me through every step of the process and his team really took care of me. They are first class! If anyone in my family or close to me wanted a pool, Blue Dolphin would be doing their project. That said, if anyone is looking for a honest, reliable, hardworking pool company that does an AMAZING job......look no further. Blue Dolphin all the way LETS GO!!!!!!! I purchased an above ground pool about a month ago. Todd was very helpful on the day I stopped by to buy the pool, they deliver on time but two pieces were missing and I was promised to get delivered and installed in few days and so far nothing.I have tried the store many times, left messages and not return calls. I am building a deck around the pool, now I can’t finish it because they need to return and finish their work.I am very frustrated.I was looking to drive all the way to Bedford to use them to buy my pool supplies buy it won’t happen.I paid in full for the service and now neither the store or the installer are returning my calls.
Very convenient; shopped 4 other pool companies before picking Blue Dolphin to install our new pool, everything was provided as promised, no surprises, very helpful staff as I was fresh and new taking care of a pool. I follow their direction in the spring and throughout the summer and my pool is crystal clear and my family just love it. Had a few issues in the first few months of operation but they had a lot of patience with me and it all came together. I appreciated their extra attention. Thank you Todd
Left multiple messages for more than a couple of months and no return calls. Once I received a call was told sorry we don’t have the staff to help you. I guess I didn’t warrant a call back sooner... especially after all the $$ I have spent there over the years. I will ensure Amazon and google shopping gets my business going forward.

Blue Dolphin has recommended that I move my sand media based filter over to the new cartridge based filter with a variable speed pump. Not only is the new pump super quiet, the filter has cut the amount of time I used to spend maintaining my pool by 90%. The water has NEVER looked this good and my electric bill has dropped significantly. My only regret was not listening to the experts at Blue Dolphin sooner. They have prove to be a true 5-star service provider to me and my family over the past five years.
I bought a new motor from yous last year n you hired outside help.They broke the pool the guy richie promised to be here today sat.. nope he didnt show up or take our calls.i said Ill even pay him even if its his fault closing it wrong.But nope richie didnt show up or come n wont take calls.. Hired them to open my pool recently, two guys showed up after 5 hours of actual appointment time, took out the covering, threw two different chemicals and left saying we will be back in an hour and never showed up. Called them back, and paid $255!! I had to do most of the work on my own, and also they dumped in all the leaves that were on the top of the covers into the pool!! ...and guess what?? the advices that they gave me were wrong according to most of the pool companies around Never going back with them..
I just called to get some information about the in-ground pool for next year. He asked me to leave a message in his voice mail and he will get back to me in 2 to 3 weeks to set up an appointment. His voice mail was full and I wasnt able to leave a message. I called back to let him know that and the person answer the phone wasnt helpful and all together they werent interested in my business. It was a very unpleasant experience.
This year we had our in-ground pool liner replaced by Blue Dolphin. We are very pleased with the results. The liner is exactly what we wanted and fits perfectly. Bob and the installation crew were professional, efficient and friendly. They went above and beyond. The price was very reasonable also. I highly recommend Blue Dolphin.Also, this year, I had an imbalance in pool chemicals due to my miscalculations. Todd and the store staff were very patient and worked through the problem until it was solved. They are a great team to work with.
Called the Service Dept. over and over with no response for a problem midsummer. When I wanted to cancel my pool closing I called and left three messages and only got voicemail. They showed up anyways a day late and had no explanation as to why they still came for the closing after I had cancelled three times. A sorry excuse for service.
Look at the reviews: IF they show up, theres about a 50% satisfaction rate. Sadly I was one of the many who was told they would come out multiple times and never received service. Maybe I was lucky, who knows?
I had been a loyal customer of Blue Dolphin since 1998. I do not know what is happening to this organization. This spring, I called to see how much a 5 gallon bucket of chlorine tablets would cost, I got a price, which was more than I usually pay. I the go to the store and they quote me even more. I make a fuss about it, considering the cost of the chlorine, they look up my account and honor the price from last year.I normally did not question the pricing, however, since a long-standing employee left and a new one from a competitor that went out of business runs the show, that is when I noticed changes in the organization. I will post another review about my pool liner. Beware and check the price from competitors and online. Beware.
I went to another pool company in the area first. The service there was marginal at best - had me wondering if I had done something to upset the people on the phone and in the store. As soon as I walked in to Blue Dolphin I was greeted by a friendly and courteous staff who quickly helped me with my hot tub dilemma. Todd, who is there resident spa guru, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We are putting a pool in next spring and we certainly know who well be calling! Thanks Guys!
Blue Dolphin Pools & Spas Inc built our pool last summer. We are so excited to be able to open it up soon for this coming summer. It turned out really nice. We use it all the time and now our home has become the hub where the family gathers, so that is also enjoyable. If youre planning on getting a pool you should call them up.
Very disappointed. We have been loyal customers for years now and have been flat out ignored for months after several attempts to set up appointment to close our pool!! Then told that you’re booking into late October! To the owner: hire new people for service department or close the doors! You have just lost another customer.

We couldnt be happier!!! Having an in-ground pool installed (July 2019) is a very large construction project; and as such, it should be expected there would be really difficult or trying parts -- But really there werent! The Blue Dolphin team: From Owner to Installers to Support Team -- Was (Is) awesome!
I use them for lots of little stuff related to my hot tub, because I dont know my rear from my elbow. But Todd is always very welcoming, even though Im spending next to nothing. He is patient and answers my questions. Honestly, he treats me like Im spending $50K on a pool. Great customer service. I could not recommend them more confidently.

Every time Ive gone in, Ive known exactly what I needed but theyve convinced me to buy something else, and its always more expensive. They tell me the parts will fit with my pool but they never do. We recently needed a new cartridge for our filter, and even after looking up the model we purchased from them the year before, they still managed to sell us the wrong one. Ill never go back again.
Update: issue was finally fixed today. Good quality work, if you are able to get in their schedule.Original review: horrible business ethics and customer service. Damaged our pool when closing for winter and forgot to mention it. Dodging calls and promising to fix it tomorrow for 2 weeks now (two weeks!!!!) with no result. Pool lost 1/3 of water already - they cant even come to close the broken return, which takes 5 minutes!!!!!!! This is probably the worst pool company I have ever used! If you value your pool/spa, time, money - stay away!
From the start everyone at Blue Dolphin has been welcoming and extremely helpful . They have done a completely wonderful job on reconditioning my parents 40 year old in-ground pool. New liner, concrete replacement, new stair insert, replaced skimmer, new pump and filter.Bob McNutt and his crew did a fantastic job with their work they consistently arrived and worked hard to get the end result. They were very professional, they never left a mess at the end of the day, always took my calls or responded promptly and left the pool and surrounding pool area looking outstanding.They made the pool look beautiful and the new filter and pump kept it clear all season long. I could not be happier with the final outcome of the work done on our pool. The people at the store in Bedford answered every question about chemicals I had, sometimes more than once .Thanks to everyone involved.
I grew up swimming so I knew when I bought my own house I had to get a pool built, if there wasnt one at my house. I got it built by Blue Dolphin Pools & Spas Inc a few years ago. They are a great group of people over there. They didnt pressure me into buying anything more expensive than I could afford. They guided me step by step throughout this process and answered all of my questions. In fact, they still answer any questions that come up. They open and close my pool for me every year.
We invested in an expensive above ground pool with Blue Dolphin 25 years ago for our children to enjoy in the summer as well as my wife and I and we have not ever disappointed with it. Today our grandchildren enjoy it just as much!! This Dough Boy pool still has its original liner and structurally it has held up tremendously over the years. We live in Concord, NH but first travelled to Hooksett and now to Bedford for all our supplies at Blue Dolphin Pools & Spas, Inc. Jean and the staff are wonderful and always have what you need.

Blue Dolphin has opened and closed my pool without a problem. Last year, however, they lost the power source for my robotic vacuum and returned it at the end of summer. Called for service yesterday and they didnt answer the phone and the answering machine was full so I couldnt leave a message.
Last summer I got an in-ground pool and patio put in my backyard by the staff at Blue Dolphin Pools & Spas Inc. Everything went really well. The staff were efficient and had the pool put in in no time. We use it all the time!
Our experience with having a new liner installed with Blue Dolphin Pools has been more than satisfactory. We were very pleased with Bob McNutt who came out to initially meet with us and also who came out to measure on two separate occasions to make sure the measurements were accurate. We were pleased his professionalism and willingness to answer any questions we had along with giving suggestions. Also, we were even more impressed and pleased with the individuals who installed it and oversaw the project? They were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. In particular, Scott Poissant and his brother, who met and exceeded our expectations in completing the job. We would highly recommend Blue Dolphin Pools.

Very unprofessional. We bought a home and attempted to continue to use this service. We scheduled a time, they cancelled and rescheduled for a later day. Then sent to very unprofessional service men to my home on a different day than was scheduled. The men had the wrong work order. They berated me for not having my pool open to be cleaned. However their company was supposed to be opening the pool. The women at the office was rude, unable to listen to my complaint, interrupted me multiple times. They were HAPPY to lose our business. I would not recommend anyone use this company.
Very disappointed with service. They cancelled the first appointment and came out the following Saturday. This was for a pool opening. One guy did a good job of hooking up the motor, the other folded up the cover without cleaning it. He brushed down the pool instead of vacuuming, which caused clogging. Next year we will do it ourselves and save ourselves the frustration.
This has been a horrible experience having an in-ground pool installed by Blue Dolphin. Deposit in July and now November and pool is still not finished. No two-way communication with subcontractors, left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing and amongst themselves all they do is speak badly about their subcontractors and co-workers behind their backs. Very unprofessional and leaves the customer in a difficult situation. They know they have no competition to speak of but take on all the new work knowing they dont have adequate resources to accomplish the job and get it done on time and done right. Jean is a good guy and seems to be trying to hold it all together, but I am a very dissatisfied customer and would really think twice about hiring Blue Dolphin to install your pool without checking around first and making sure they commit contractually to a completion date acceptable to you.
Stay away if you want even just reasonable service. I hired them to open my pool, so the problem started with me selecting them. They came out and dumped all the leaves, dirt, and grime off of the cover into the pool. I live with lots of oak trees so there were a lot of leaves, but closed early and have always had a clean looking pool when opened. I spent two afternoons getting the leaves off of the bottom and called to see what they proposed. Their response was that they never should dump leaves into the pool when opening it but admitted this is what must have happened. Since, Ive spent weeks trying to get it clean and ready to swim in, because their solution was to have me PAY them more money to send someone out and clean it-because their opening service doesnt include getting leaves out of the pool. The absolute worst service Ive ever received. They make the airline industry look good.
Blue Dolphin used to be great, but it has gone down hill dramatically. They installed my pool 7 years ago and I was always a repeat, loyal customer. I have no clue why it has changed so dramatically, but after my last visit, I will be taking my business else where.There is only one gentleman that really knows parts, there are a ton of people waiting to talk to him for parts, so the wait is frequently over 40 minutes, which is absurd, as the other employees just stand there. Not only does he do the parts, but sells the hot tubs and grills as well, so if hes with a customer purchasing one of those, bring a lawn chair because you will be waiting a long, long time. Realistically, the parts department is understaffed, and the rest of the crew is barely knowledgeable. Very disappointing.The store itself is conveniently located for me, however, I now drive the extra to go to a pool store. My time is equally as valuable as theirs, and sadly they dont get it, or maybe they just really dont care anymore.

I have been doing business with Blue Dolphin Pools & Spas Inc for over four years. They built an in ground pool for me in 2011, and since then they have done all of the maintenance on it. All of the workers are very kind and knowledgeable.
We paid $300 for them to open our pool, and all they did was take the cover off the pool and put some chemicals into the pool. They didnt check to make sure everything was functioning properly, or check the condition of the filters. When we discovered problems with the pool, and when the water didnt change colors within the time specified, we called them to get the matter resolved. They didnt offer to come out and make things right, but rather, told us to go and buy new filters. Very poor service.

Shame on me for giving them the benefit of the doubt. Knowing its a busy time of year, I expect them to be busy. But 3 separate times now, I have either been ignored, cut in line by other customers who happen to have the relationship and ear of one of the service guys or even be patient enough to find what I need and wait in line to check out to be walked away from at the counter - all within the last 2 months. This is even after having dealt with their service department for closing the pool last fall. The young lady was extremely rude when scheduling (was hoping she was just having a bad day - apparently not!). The only reason for the 2 stars was for the 2 guys that came out to close the pool. Awesome, awesome guys. Very friendly and personable. I mentioned my interaction regarding the rude service department call and they did say they hear that a lot.

The worst experience ever. Put in a liner too late in the season which resulted in shrinking and tearing. Would not accept responsibility to replace. Their fault and rude when contacted in the spring. I had to replace a brand New liner at my expense. Bea was so rude and this company should be sued. NEVER use them

I have had the misfortune of dealing with this company for years with a rental property pool. Again, this year they are living up to their VERY POOR REPUTATION AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!Pool opening - 6 gals of shock and cover taken off....pool was still green a week later. $265 - outrageous! 12 more gallons of shock and we could see the bottom. There was a large hole in the liner and I didnt even get a call to let me know that it was there - again, these guys were from the SERVICE DEPT!After at least 5 calls to Gene and another 5+ to Tom in service, I was promised theyd get right over there to get it fixed up. It is now 6 weeks later, and nothing has been done, nor do they have any record of it needing to be done. Gene is never available to talk to and neither is Tom.I was told by Gene that the service dept would get better after Terry left, nothing has changed, nothing will change except their excuses.
I thought getting a new pool would be a really awful and long drawn out experience with a good end result, but working with Blue Dolphin Pools & Spas Inc changed my mind about that. It was an easy experience with a GREAT end result. Thanks for my new pool.

I cannot believe this company wants customers! My visit two days ago to get parts went horribly. There is no service in their customer service contrary to their advertisements. It took forever and ended with a near argument over why when we called ahead they didnt tell us nobody was there who could help with parts. John their salesperson is a fully qualified JERK.

I brought in my aquabot for repair on June 20, 2014. By July 17, still no word on what it would cost to fix it, even after repeated calls.Excuses for delay abound.
Hacks, they supposedly opened my pool but tried to sell us a 4k liner and new pump. They did nothing and tried charging me $100.00.
