Took my vehicle in for a 4 wheel alignment. When I returned to pick it up I was told there was no charge and was given the print out of the alignment which showed that the front and rear wheels were all within the manufacturers specifications! I cant thank the Belfast VIP enough for their honesty on this and for giving me the print out. I will be recommending Belfast VIP to others and definitely will be returning for any future services needed on my vehicles.

Had an appointment for an oil change and was greeted promptly by Chris. They took in my car, when the oil change was done, I was advised of additional work that should be done. Chris told me how much the additional work would be. I knew the car was a little off on the alignment because I could feel the car pull a bit, so I wasnt surprised. There was no pressure to have it done right there and then, but I did it because I was there and they had time. A month ago I bought tires from here and a different man had advised me on several options.. OVER THE PHONE! He was patient and very helpful. When I had the tires done, they were just as great! Will certainly be bringing my car here on a regular basis.

I came in for a routine oil change and inspection and Brandon was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. I had to drive to NYC later that day and he and his team helped to quickly get my tire rod fixed in order to safely make the trip. I had to have my daughter bring my Jeep in to have the transmission flushed because thats what I was told the problem could be by another mechanic. The flush was going cost a little over $200.00. She brought it in and they took it for a test drive and said there is something definitely going on with the tyranny, but that a flush could either have no effect or it could make it worse. They suggested making another appointment so they could hook it up to the computer to troubleshoot the transmission. They could have very easily taken advantage of us, but they did what was best for us and the Jeep. I just wanted to commend the staff for their honesty and professionalism. Ive had work done here before and I recommend them to anyone with vehicle issues.

In the last couple of years I had one set of my brakes replaced, bought four new tires and two weeks ago, they fixed my steering issue on my Toyota Avalon. The service at Belfast Tires & Service was excellent, honest, and all the work was done as they estimated, both on the time it took to fix things and the costs they predicted. Actually, the steering charge came in less than they estimated. Yesterday I wasnt sure what the noise issue was with my car and the manager, Paul, took it out for a test run to help me determine what I was hearing. He was busy but he still found the time to help me. Im bringing my car back to get the minor parts issue fixed. These guys go the extra mile.

I have had very good service from the VIP location in Waterville and have had many inspections done there. I’ve also bought all of the tires for my four vehicles there over the past few years. I do most of my repair work myself, but have had them do some small stuff occasionally from time to time and have been satisfied with the results. I recently moved and the Belfast location is now more convenient for me so I took my Jeep in for an inspection. On my first visit I arrived 10 minutes early for a 2:00pm appointment. By 2:40 they hadn’t even taken the Jeep into the bay, so I asked for an estimate on when they would be able to. I was informed that it wouldn’t be for a while. I asked for my keys back and rescheduled for the next weekend. At that next appointment they took the Jeep in promptly as I was the first appointment of the day. The Jeep failed its inspection for a loose wheel bearing and some rust on a couple of body mounts. I was told if I fixed those I would be all set. I replaced the wheel bearing and fixed the rust on the body mounts. In addition, I also replaced a u-joint I found that was worn while I was working on it. I then returned to get my sticker. At my third appointment a different technician inspected the Jeep and found a multitude of items he deemed wrong with the Jeep. One was legitimate and I will certainly fix it, but it’s questionable whether others are really problems. Regardless it’s not a question of whether it should have passed or failed, but that I was given a list of problems to fix at the second appointment, which I did, expecting to get a sticker, only to be failed again. I’ve now made three trips to this location and still don’t have a sticker. I’m a busy working person who doesn’t have a lot of free time to take my vehicles to the shop over and over. So, needless to say, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Technician forgot to re-attach fuse box to secure position nearly causing accident because it got caught on breaks. When asked to re-visit the work done got 15 min of grief from a irrate employee trying to avoid responsibility for the potentially dangerous fuse box that took another employee less than 30 seconds to fix. Proceeded to brag he already put in his 2 weeks to quit when asked why he felt it wasnt his problem.

I was shopping in OReilly when he started hurling insults and it wasnt the mechanics fault he even said he tried to fix his tail light I dont know...but he proceeded to be billergient and saying the f bombs. Went here to get new tires for my Volvo, I chose VIP Auto because they told me I would get a $200 rebate after purchasing 4 tires through them. Turns out the rebate was only $75, the $200 rebate was ONLY if you had a Goodyear credit card - which they failed to mention to me. They then told me I needed new brake pads (correct) and quoted me $1200 to replace. I went to my mechanic who did all 4 brake pads for $700. As a woman who went to the apt by myself, they definitely thought they could pass off a hugely inflated quote on me. Don’t go here if you can help it, and make sure you get whatever quote they initially give you over the phone in writing.

Ms. Brayson the Service Manager II was one of the best customer service representatives I have had the pleasure to deal with in a long, long time. I hope her boss gets to see this and she gets the proper reward that she deserves!!I was also very satisfied with the work that was competed changing my tires.

Robin got me an appointment the next morning when I got a flat. She gave me a heads up that it might take a little longer than normal due to the snow that morning. While I was waiting Robin made conversation and gave me updates on the progress of my vehicle. While the wait was long I would definitely go back again!

Feb 2020 went in for a yearly inspection appointment. No charge (long time customer courtesy? standard procedure), took the 30 minutes they said it would. When they suggested a new battery after 2+ years, I said OK. You scratch my back, Ill scratch yours. Manager Raymond Buzzell, Jordan the tech both friendly, easy to communicate with. I was is desperate need of an exhaust repair and my local VIP was able to get me in the very next day - which was on a Sunday!!! It was so easy to drop my car off the night before and they were able to do the fix between appointments. My car was ready the next day. They were very informative and made sure I knew exactly what was going on with my car. I also really like the fact that even though my fiancé was with me the service agent made sure to make eye contact with me and include me in the conversation. This was very refreshing because many places like this if a man in present they assume a woman might not know about cars. He was very kind and respectful. VIP was great about getting me in quickly when I was having troubles with my tires. They have also always gotten me when I’ve needed oil changes and other services. They are honest with me about the work that my car needs and understanding when I can’t get the work they recommend in that visit.

Always the BEST! 100% honest and best service 6 years and counting!!! They always scan the computer to ensure they are offering me all of the deals currently running, always scan my car to detect any issues before they become major problems when I get regular oil changes because I ask them to (which would give a mechanic full license to make stuff up, but 99% of the time they smile and tell me shes MINT!). I trust and rely on VIP to take care of me and my car 100%. It is like having a husband but with none of the problems!!!

A few months ago I went into the Belfast location of VIP to get 2 new tires and an inspection. I did not realize that my two other tires did not pass inspection because of the way they wore. Mark went above and beyond to get my vehicle safe, while also respecting that I was not prepared financially to buy 4 tires. He found me the best deal for all four tires that I could afford and also educated me about proper tire rotation to prevent this type of wear in the future! I felt pleased with the services and the detailed information I received.

Ray does a great job. I had my tires changed over today. I sat in the waiting area and had a cup of coffee while benefiting from the free wifi. They did a free alignment and told me everything was on track - no unnecessary work suggested!

Had my oil changed here, it was quick and reasonably priced. I also mentioned that I needed to get my car inspected soon, and the guys took a look and told me what I would need to get fixed for that, no charge. They also filled my tires and topped off all my fluids. I told them to use the washer fluid I had in the car, but they used their own, again for no charge. Little things like that stand out, and are very much appreciated. Thanks, guys!

Judging by all these good reviews, I must have come in on a bad day. I scheduled a full synthetic oil change, came in when I was due, and was not acknowledged for many minutes (maybe 10?). When they did acknowledge me, it was a friendly interaction, though.My appointment was at 4 and I was there till 6, which seemed an enormously long time, but they were also clearly understaffed.I had to run inside to initiate confirmation from them about what kind of oil change I was receiving and what other services went with it, because once they took the mileage down from my car they sent me on my way without checking it over with me.I also get the sense they did not perform the multi-point inspection that comes free with the oil change, even though I clarified that specifically beforehand (and its stated policy to provide it). I say this because when I asked the clerk about it during check-out, he asked the guy who had done my oil change, who absolutely had a deer-in-headlights look and mumbled that nothing stood out to him. I asked for a printout of the inspection results, and the clerk went through the form on the computer and manually checked everything as not needing immediate maintenance. I know my car isnt in great shape right now (and in fact I know a few things on that list are, specifically, in need of pretty immediate maintenance), so I was STUNNED by this, but I think they really were just having a tough and understaffed day.They were friendly and polite and did not condescend to me AT ALL, which was really awesome (and something I look for when I get work done), but it was definitely a bit of a jumbled mess and not particularly transparent.All in all, the oil change itself seems fine, but it did take two hours even with a booked appointment and I didnt benefit from any of the free services that are meant to accompany it. I was really hoping to discuss what maintenance my car needs, coming up, and it was because of this that I went with VIP over other places in town.I hate to leave anything other than a shining review, but I felt I needed to put it out there, too.

Went in to have my car serviced and inspected, and found out my brakes needed new pads. VIP was able to complete all the repairs within two hours including rotating my tires and checking the alignment. I have used VIP for years and have always found them helpful and pleasant to deal with.

I would normally rate with many more stars because Mark has been a trusted Auto advisor and he dealt with an aftermarket warranty company on my behalf with professionalism. However, the day I scheduled the work to be done Brandon added a repair of my brakes to the work order which I did not authorize. In my dealings with Marc I was explicit that I would be doing the brakes on my own. Their manager Ray made things right by only charging me with a parts quote and forgave the labor cost.

I hit a massive pot hole that took out the both passenger side wheels. I called this VIP a couple weeks ago to set up an appointment to replace both wheels. This is a very run of the mill job that shouldnt be difficult to plan for. When I got to the store they informed me that they didnt have the wheels in stock and apologized for not ordering them ahead of time. Im pretty forgiving so I rescheduled with them for the next week and the man assured me that they would have the wheels in and be able to do the work then. Guess what? they didnt have the parts in again. Im not asking them to do anything outrageous here. I have one of the most commonly driven cars in America so I refuse to believe it is this difficult to get 2 steel wheels for it. They seem no respect for their customers time. Think about it, If they cant make a simple order for basic parts do you really want to trust them to do a more complicated procedure on your car? This is not my first complaint about this company but I can tell you it will be the last because I refuse to do business with them anymore. They may be the cheapest mechanics in town but you get what you pay for.

Just wanted to give at thanks to VIP for some impromptu help last week! Ive serviced my cars at VIP for several years now and have always found them to be nice, informative, and to talk with rather than at me.Last week, we were about to head out for a road trip when my engine shuddered at a stoplight and the check engine light flashed. For piece of mind, we swung into VIP quickly and a technician came right out to the car to read the computer and give some (FREE!!) input. He gave us his opinion, recommended what he would do given our timing situation, and provided some confidence to take off on the road with a quick addition of high-octane cleaner in the fuel. Car was fine and we were thankful to have someone willing to just speak with us quickly there.So thanks VIP!!!

My wife was a walk-in customer and normally doesnt handle the service on her car. The guys were friendly and didnt try to sell her services she didnt need. I appreciate them being honest and polite.
