Great selection of yarn, patterns, needles, accessories and knowledgeable staff. It is close to the water so you can buy your project, grab a bite to eat and knit while enjoying the sea activities!Parking is on the street so it could be a tad tricky depending on the tourist season.

Large variety of yarn!

A wide choice of Yarns, extremely helpful staff, and a cozy room in the back to pull up a chair and knit. I needed help picking substitute yarn for a project and they spent a lot of time with me. Eventually I bought some clearance yarn and they put aside the remaining balls in case I needed them in near future. Support your local yarn shop, we need them and they need us!

Spent some time in this cozy shop during a rainy day at the end of June 2016. The owner was very knowledgeable, friendly and informative. She has a nice selection of Maine yarns as well as other well-known yarn lines and I was happy to support the local economy as we waited for the rain to let up.

Best yarn shop ever!This lovely store is located in Belfast on High Street. The old building is lovely and their are chairs for bored husbands. Helen and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, but not pushy. In fact I’m often talked into buying an alternative on the sale shelf or offered to borrow knitting needles in the right size until I finish my project. there’s a lap top computer set up to look up patterns on Ravelry and even print them for a small fee ( I think 10 cents)Each fall I spend time in nearby Thorndike and Heavenly Yarns is always my first stop when we get to Belfast.

Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful for searching for yarn for any project. They make great suggestions for yarns and know a lot about the products they carry.. The selection of yarn is great, both a mix of commercially dyed yarns and indie dyed ones. A large selection of yarns produced in Maine and fiber for spinning and felting. They also have needles for sale, and a selection of buttons to put finishing touches on garments.

Great little LYS (local yarn store). They have a very nice selection of local (Maine) yarns, and have a fun option for trying some of them out - the yarn of the month subscription, which includes one skein of local yarn, plus a pattern, every month. Most of the yarns here range from somewhat expensive to quite expensive, though they do carry more affordable stuff like Cascade. If youre looking for super cheap acrylic, youre going to have to go to JoAnns, but if youre looking for something to knit an heirloom out of, this is a great place. The service staff are friendly and nice to chat with.
