I have worked with these folks from the beginning until the end. They have helped me with finding contractors for site prep and for my garage. The home arrived and I was pleased as it is what I ordered. These guys are great to work with.

I don’t do many views but this one is need! Stay away from Casey the sales guy, Matt the District manager and Ian the owner... these three are a team of destruction! Long story short. I tried to purchase a home from American Home Center here in Belgrade. It’s been 6 months in the works. I had money down and a price set. Shortly last week I received a phone call from Matt their regional manager telling me I had to pay 100% now. And not what I had initially agreed to but 65,000 more because of what it would cost in today’s market to build.. after talking with Matt about that house already being built a year ago the pricing is crazy. He said he would call Ian and they were doing me a favor by dropping it another 30,000...not much of a favor... here’s the kicker, I actually thought about still buying it and called Matt back after 2 days and he said I quote “ we actually sold that house two days ago” never did anyone from this company call us! I would highly suggest not doing business with this company!Take your chances people, I am going to still buy another house but it won’t be from these people.Sam Cloninger.

Have dealt with American Home Center in Belgrade Montana for nearly a year - put a deposit on a home and was assured all was good. They now decided because it will cost so much to replace they want an additional $65,000 more for the home, that has been sitting on there lot all this time. We were waiting for the county to approve our septic permit before delivery. American Homes refused to honor the contract - sent deposit back and sold the home before the deposit was even received. I am so disappointed in the lack of professionalism and total disregard they showed for this being someone’s home.

As a debut homeowner, they were very helpful and flexible and made the experience hassle-free. Definitely recommend!

American Homes in Belgrade, Montana is NOT the place to buy your home! They have NO regard for people. They don’t care about anyone but the almighty dollar. We had decided on a home for my mom when the pandemic hit. City governments were running very slowly so obtaining the necessary permits became difficult. We stayed in contact with our salesman, put a hold fee down on the house and signed a 45 day contract. We REPEATEDLY asked if we needed to pay interest or anything more on the house because we knew it was taking up space on their lot. We were REPEATEDLY told no, that they appreciated having a model to show. We are now a couple of weeks from all permits being finalized and we receive a call, at 4:00pm on a Friday, saying that they want 100% payment in less than 10 days and that the price was increased by $65,000!!! They reason given was the cost of building materials has gone up. How can they go up on a house that has already been built???? We received another call 3 days later saying they would take $30,000 off of the increased price if we paid immediately. They then left a message later that day saying our hold fee was being returned to us but we could write a new contract for the increased amount. We called on Thursday, the day we received our hold fee in the mail to find out that they had sold the house the previous Tuesday. THEY SOLD IT!! Our salesman knew this was going to be my Mom’s last home. Her forever home. Never, ever give them your business!!

Called for information on replacement parts for the furnace and they wouldn’t even talk to us. Said they sell as is... wow! Booooo another business in the Gallatin Vally with piss poor customer service 👎

We purchased a house in June for late September delivery. Because of COVID we were advised to expect delivery in Oct/early November. In September we requested they build the house with a basement foundation and were advised that the house was too far along to make that change and would need to put stairs in ourselves. We prepped the site, dug the basement, and requested foundation plans for over a month, something that should’ve been pulled out of a drawer and faxed to us. We were then advised that the house would be available the end of November. While still attempting to get foundation plans, we were advised that the house would then be delivered the end of December....in North Central Montana. In the end, we had our lawyer call the company and were advised they had not actually even started our home, it was 27th out of 52 to be built and would not be ready until next May, a year from the date we ordered. With the basement hole dug and prepped, we were forced to cancel the contract and stick build a house at a much greater cost. Had they been honest up front, we would have made other housing arrangements, not dug the basement, and waited for the house to be built. In retrospect, because material costs rose after we signed the contract, we recognize that they wanted out of the contract because their profit margin on our house was too low, and never planned to start our house until the material costs came back down. I understand COVID may have caused some chaos, but treat your customers with honesty. Their lack of honesty cost us a lot of money, in having to scramble to find materials and contractors and time to build it ourself, as well as made us make unfortunate design changes.

American Home Centers and all the people associated with them are wonderful. Weve been in our home now 8 months. In that interim, weve seen 3 more homes be delivered to our subdivision. All of them had many, many more problems than we had.I have nothing but good to say about our experience. Starting with the truck deliverer guys - they were wonderful. Santiago and Randy, the set-up guys were wonderful. Ryan and Todd, the painter guys were wonderful. Cecil and Travis, the fix-it guys are wonderful. Our most favorite person, though, was Mat, our salesperson, who coordinated everything and everyone so that our experience went as smoothly as possible.Everyone associated with AHC is extremely professional, cheerful, helpful, and excellent examples of what customer service should be (shouts out to Casey and Nikki). I would do it all again - same house, same people, etc.!

Absolutely the nicest homes available! The staff is incredible! We looked for years at every product on the market before we purchased our home. We have been in our home 10 months now and cant say enough great things about it!

12 /9/19As much as I love my house I really dislike the contractors that AHC hires. They are subpar at best.Our house has been on the foundation since July 3rd. They didnt fix our HVAC until it was into the negative temps in October/November. Drywall people were suppose to come today to fix walls that werent straight or bulging. They called out and might show up tomorrow. The original tape and texture guy couldnt match the texture and made up excuses when we told him it wasnt right. I was told they would probably just trim my blinds bc they catch on uneven drywall in the windows instead of shaving down the uneven drywall. Another worker wore his muddy boots on my new carpet and its now stained.When they tell you youll be in your house 30-60 days after set you cant believe that. We moved in begining of October and they are obviously still working. I have been recommended to buy storm doors when I tell them that the doors arent sealed properly. I can see light between the door and the weather striping.Do I love my floor plan and my huge windows and my awesome bathroom? Yes. Do I love that my bedroom and bathroom are on average 3-5 degrees colder than the rest of the house? No. I will try and post updates once everything is done and they stop giving us the run around. I understand the job situation in the valley but man this sucks. Id love to be able to hire my own contractors and have AHC pay them and then it would just be done.

I have bought three homes from American Home Center because I love their service, their product, and their prices are the best in the state. The crew at American Home Center is a pleasure to deal with. Save yourself some aggravation and just go to American Home Center. Fun and knowledgable bunch of guys selling a great product.

Nice home, was told it was to be delivered July 8, on August 6, the driver called at 9:30 pm from Columbus, mt. Ask how far from Miles city, and service manager followed the home out. The house was set a few days later, and the anchors were installed 6 weeks later, which held up the skirting. The mudding crew worked very hard done an awsome job, and done other work that wasnt there responsibility. The carpet job needs redone, and as of September 26, the beautiful home has been sitting here 53 days vacant.Im happy for others that have had great service.We have lost all excitement of getting a new home.In this area its becoming the American home joke.

Not what our first home buying experience should be. They have honestly taken all the excitement and joy out of buying a new home. Hope they can turn things around and make them right since we are still dealing get with them.

Well let me start off my first review got me deleted and apparently blocked on the Facebook page. I left an honest review and will never purchase anything from this company. My sister bought a kit home and is haveing a lot of trouble. I have seen here house the paint job on the outside is awful and covered in road grime and dirt and they wont give her the correct refrigerator she ordered. Plus they left her homeless for about two months I belive they finally got to move in July its now October and they still have not fixed everything. Needless to say shes not satisfied. Also if I owned a business and received a bad review I would want to fix the problem and not just delete the review and brush it under the rug.
