I bought a McLane edger a little over a year ago (SEP 2020) and I must say it has performed outstanding! We have a lot of edging and I decided to pay a little more money for a quality push behind edger and decided on a McLane after a lot of research and talking with a neighbor whos had one for over 20 years. He loves his and its still running and performing great! I decided to upgrade to the Honda engine since all of the lawnmowers Ive owned are Honda and they always start on one pull. This one didnt disappoint and always cranks with one small pull. It is built very well and is very sturdy and they stand behind their product. Their customer service is second to none and theyve sent me an extra belt and blades for free and they are manufactured and located in the USA! Highly recommend this edger! Well worth the money!.

I purchased or better said I attempted to purchase one of these mowers on 6/9/2020. I emailed 3 days later on 6/12/2020 and was informed delivery was delayed due to high demand and that I should expect delivery in 2-3 weeks from purchase date. I called on or around the 23rd to inquire on the status of my order. I was told no update was available, but I would receive an email with shipping confirmation soon. On 6/30/2020 I did get an email advising me that my mower would ship 7/10/2020. Keep in mind this entire time the company charged the credit card and was making interest for a full month. Today is 7/13/2020, when I did not receive confirmation of shipping I called. I was told I would get a call right back..... I called back 35 minutes later and was told shipping might occur today maybe tomorrow.... I requested my order be cancelled and money refunded... I have yet to receive that confirmation and will be call the credit card soon to dispute the charges I am sure. Overall I would never purchase a high ticket item from a company run in this manner. When I asked to speak to the person in charge I was informed the President had gone home for the day...... It was 12:37 in the afternoon. No wonder they cant keep a production schedule..... I was almost willing to wait but wondered if there was an issue would I get the same treatment.The good news is I placed an order for a CA Trimmer from an online merchant and it will be here in 10 days.

We just purchased a new McLane mower that we needed the blade adjusted lower than the factory setting, everyone was so nice and helpful, the best Customer service ever!! What a great company this is! Great job to all!!?

I have LOVED McLane edgers literally my entire life (Used McLane edgers in my lawn business in Florida as a kid). The BEST. They last forever literally. No comparison to weedeater type machines and the cut that they make. Had a misunderstanding with ordering parts and Anna M. went way above and beyond trying to help me out. They ended up making everything right on their end. Awesome product!

Great mowers but some of the WORST customer service I have every come across. It can take days to get help and sometimes multiple phone calls. The instructions that came with my mower were the wrong instructions because they had not updated them and even worse I have a had issue with the reel getting stuck and not rotating and there is nothing in the instructions on how to address that.If I were you I would absolutely not buy a mower from this company unless you know how to repair and adjust a reel mower. Again, the mower itself cuts great but there is NO SUPPORT.

I have a model 93412 edger the one with the large gas tank on top. I have had it for years never had a bit of problems with it, works great, its a nice easy pull start great for older guys like me, when compared to those other brands with those overly long pull ropes. I read + and - on the net dont understand why its the best machine out there, honestly if you take good care of the machine it will run forever

Ordered some parts on-line for my 25 reel mower and were shipped next day, great customer service and when e-mail sent to obtain tracking info. for the shipment this too was handled in a very prompt manner; parts installed mower back in operation. Thanks McLane!

I have a 20 front throw mower that was having mechanical issues. After contacting McLane, they offered to have me bring my mower to their warehouse to have someone look at it(I obviously live close enough to do that, 40mi). After arriving, one of their techs came out, figured out the problem, replaced the faulty part and sent me on my way. Very pleased with their customer service as well as the quality of their products.

If you didnt know Mclane took over new ownership last year which seriously destroyed their customer service handling. Also the prices for parts tripled at that time. I have specialized in repairs of this mower for almost 40 years and now they are no longer friendly on repair cost. Its sad that Tru-cut mowers that are more user friendly and twice the cost(you get what you pay for!) can be repaired for a fraction of the cost.

Terrible Customer Service. Steer Clear.I bought straight from the manufacturer which has been nothing but a headache. The products arent bad but if you have issues and need customer support, youll wish you had bought elsewhere.I purchased a lawn edger in early May of 2016 (4-months ago). It arrived two weeks later warped and with wheel issues. One wheel wouldnt turn and was pressed against the fuel casing. They then sent a replacement while trying to get UPS to pick up the defective unit. That arrived and the defective unit sat on my front porch for weeks after trials of trying to get UPS to pick up. The customer service person, Tik Saiseubyat, then called me and said it was nearly $100 to ship back to CA and since it was defective just to keep it for parts or whatnot - it wasnt worth getting back at that point.I set it aside for 4 months but I dont have the space so I was planning to sell and then randomly got an email saying they need the edger and they charged me for a 2nd time without authorization. I may be wrong but I believe it to be illegal to pull files and charge previous credit cards without contacting the client first. Im currently still trying to get them to pick it up but they havent yet and say they wont refund until they have it.My question : why this business policy? Why not wait until you get the original before sending out a replacement? Why tell the client one thing and then this? Why the terrible customer service? The customer has now paid for 2 edgers, essentially floating the company for their own defects and issues? I couldnt be more unhappy with McLane now and will be filing fraud through the bank and Better Business Bureau.

I bought a reel mower back in 05 that seems to be rather obscure. After moving a few times I could no longer find the manual when I needed to make adjustments to the mower, which I couldnt find online. One call and about a minute of my time and the friendly lady said shes send it to me.Even though I bought it 13 years ago, they still help their customers out.
