If hadnt had a major issue with the insurance agent Id give this place 5 stars. Dominic helped me find a car that Id never have thought I could afford, kept me well under my max payment, and was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. The finance agent(I think his name was John) helped me make sure I had all the warranties I wanted and still stayed in budget on payments, and everyone else there was super friendly and accommodating. The reason this review is only 4 stars is because the progressive insurance agent who handled my coverage signed me up for a new policy instead of putting the car on my existing policy, quoted incorrect insurance pricing, and signed me up for a renters insurance policy that I didnt ask for AFTER I had mentioned that I still live with my parents! I absolutely recommend this place if youre looking for a good used car but HANDLE THE INSURANCE YOURSELF!
Auffenberg had the used make & model I wanted online and when I arrived for an appointment to see this vehicle I was very satisfied with the condition. It was so clean and well kept by the first owner. Test drive was excellent - thanks to Luis Martinez - and all staff here at Auffenberg. Very professional team. My experience was excellent.

My daughter purchased a used Jeep Trailhawk with nothing but problems. At first, Auffenberg tried to make good on it but now they are washing their hands of it. Between the lies, the shoddy work, lack of communication, and total disregard for my daughters safety, I would give them negative stars if that were an option. If you want a quality vehicle and good customer service shop somewhere else. WHERE IS MY BATTERY CABLE KYLE?
Please buy a vehicle anywhere else. If you value honestly and commitment to excellence do not but at an Auffenberg dealer! I was sold a new truck only to find some pretty extensive damage on the roof a month later. The damage was bad enough that I would have know if I did it. Check my home security cameras and it was there the day I drove it home. The manager told me that it was on me, since his body shop told him that I probably did it. They chose to ignore the pictures. He told me that they detailed when they get it and when I took it home. Right, they detailed the roof of a 6 foot tall truck and it was raining the day I bought it. The pic isn’t great but you can clearly see the reflection of the dent, even from that distance. **UPDATE**Thank you to Dustin Baron at Auffenberg Ford O’Fallon for reaching out. It only took one phone call with him to come to an agreeable resolution. It may have not been the outcome I was hoping for, but the gesture was greatly appreciated.

Over all good however the oil was not changed on the car,which I bought . So I had to go back. Also I had my mechanic check the car and there were a couple of other thingsthe dealer could have done before he put it on the lot. As far as the sales a nd financial people they were very courteous and very helpful. They had a lot of options so I was able to get a car.

Was a very good experience up until we waited almost 1&1/2 hrs to see the financial man. I almost told them thanks but I just cant sit and wait anymore. We we there from 2:30 until 7:45. We walked in, test drove the car and filled out all paper work with in the first hour hour and 1/2. After that it was waiting to sit down with the finance guy and sign the papers.. All the staff were very nice. Like I said the very long wait almost lost the sale

There was absolutely no pressure to buy a car from the sales department. The guys at Auffenberg made my family and I feel very comfortable and like family; that’s why we chose to buy a suv for here. My 9 month old daughter came along and was teething. I highly recommend Auffenberg Ford in Belleville, IL. They were extremely patient with me during the reservation/ordering process of the new Full sized Bronco. Jon Spearman in particular was very kind and helpful throughout the process (even when I hounded him for updates). The finance manager was also very helpful and great to work with. Most importantly this dealership held firm to their commitment not to charge me over MSRP for a special order. With the ongoing car shortages many dealerships are not doing this so I am thankful. This is the 5th vehicle we have purchased from Auffenberg and will not be the last.

Although life recently threw me a curveball and forced me to have to get a new car, they made the experience painless. I would definitely purchase another car with them.
I had to come back and change my review. While the sale was quick and efficient, I found my sale dissatisfied. The day I purchased my car, I notice a low tire, deep dents and scratches, and a cracked windshield. My sales agent had my tire aired, put in for a replacement window. and did not address the dents—only said that was probably not going to change because paint filler was already used. The next day, my tire was completely low. I called, emailed, and did not get a response. It took a promised to file a BBB report to get any traction. I was told I would get a replacement tire; I have not received on yet. My tire went completely flat by Monday ( I bought the car on a Friday). There was a screw in it—you could not miss it if you aired the tire. In addition, a plug in another tire already, and a staple in another. I washed my car and all of the paint filler washed away, and now all of the dents and scratches are visible; the car was clearly sideswiped prior to sale. Today, over a week later, my front window shield was finally replaced. The tech took pictures and stated that there is a screw missing on the wiper blades and needed to be addressed, unless I want my wiper flying off. He also commented on the dents and scratches. So to wrap up: still awaiting my tires, dents and scratches need to be addressed ASAP, new wiper blades needed. I emailed Auffenberg today, and no response—shocking. On to BBB. Terrible.

From my first contact through the end of the purchase John Floyd sent a video of the car, made an appointment for me to test drive the car and answered every question with INTEGRITY. Like many, I work hard and will not spend my money in any place that doesn’t treat me with respect or provide good customer service. Purchased a 2013 Jetta. I was told by the salesman, the finance officer and the manager it was certified. I found out less than a year later it was not. On top of that auffenberg Volkswagen diagnosed it incorrectly and wanted to charge over a thousand dollars to fix. I bought a scanner and fixed it myself for 30$. It has been fixed for over 6 months now. So what ever they tell you make them put it in writing and double check the paperwork.
We were unable to find the vehicle we wanted for a price we were willing to pay close to home so we decided to purchase from Auffenberg which is 800 miles from our home. Michael worked with me throughout the deal and was quick to answer my questions and return phone calls. We came to terms over the phone and nothing changed when we got there to purchase the car. After meeting with Michael, we met with Jason in finance and that too was an outstanding experience. He worked with me to find the extended warranty that I wanted and did not try to pressure me into other things that I didn’t want. Even had a chance to work with Alex the Sales Manager and he was instrumental in putting the final touches on an excellent experience that was well worth the drive.
This is the absolute worst place I have ever bought a car at. The only reason we completed the purchase is because they had the only one we could find that was certified preowned in the model my daughter wanted. We walked in at noon and gave them info for financing. Told them what car we wanted. Left in the car for test drive around 1:30 while they said they were working on financing. Came back at 4pm. The sales man lied and told us my daughter had been approved for a loan and they had not even ran her credit. Got mad and started asking to see real #s as to interest rate and sale price when all they wanted to do was talk payment amounts around 5 to 6pm. Had to walk out causing a scene for a manager to come clean and tell me that she had not been submitted for a loan because they wanted me to co-sign for more loan options. I refuse because I wanted her to try on her own first. I knew some one would should finance her because she had save up a huge down payment. Finally closed the deal at 8pm giving them 5 grand down. 3 weeks later they start calling my daughter telling her they need more info for her loan and asking her for relatives in the area names and address. I called the loan company directly. Found out the finance department did not verify with the lender that we lived in an area the company serviced. Not even eligible for a loan with that company. Now Auffenberg has her 5 grand down payment and I had to work things out with the loan company personally or return the car and hope we got her 5 grand back with out suing them. The finance company agreed to work with us because I told them I would just get the loan from a local bank and co sign if needed. In the end the finance company made it right not the stealer -ship. Auffenbergs stealer-ships are SNAKES. Buyer Be Ware.

This place is really convenient because of the location. It seems like the light is timed in a way to make you have to sit and wait for the next one and look over at their vehicles. The lot is bigger than it appears so you really need to stop and check it out for yourself. And never fails and even after buying my own truck that Im sitting at the lights and seeing another truck that I want to go check out. I also really like the clear-cut pricing on the windows. I hate going to dealers where nothing is marked and you are required to ask the dealership. For me thats a telltale sign to walk away

What a great experience!! We had to have our 2015 F150 truck repaired after a deer ran into the drivers door on Route 3 in Columbia. Chadd was amazing, he kept us notified through each step of the process so we always knew what was being done. Him and his team in the body shop did a great job on the truck the paint and pin stripe look perfect. I highly recommend the paint and body shop here for anyone who is looking for quality work and friendly service.

Big oof - car wont start today. Serious engine problems suspected. Obviously, I know that you can only expect so much, and I predicted it would last about 2 years before it would break down, so now surprise there. However, having shelled out 9800 plus full coverage insurance, I can safely say that I didnt get much for my money. Also, still have to pay the loan off. They got me. They got me good.
The mini van I went to go look at was not as advertised. Completely different color and a lot of blemishes. Dont think I will be back

We need to speak to the owner. We purchased a vehicle from auffenberg Ford in Belleville. The sales man was rude, would not speak to me and would only talk nicely to my husband. He was sexist towards women, and would not even look at me hardly or take me seriously.Mike wheeler was rude, disrespectful and did not care about the customer. His one concern was about having lunch with his mom instead of coming to work on time to finish the deal. We noticed that there were clearly accidents and he brushed it off. It was mentioned several times about our concerns, since the accidents were never mentioned, and we thought what else could be wrong.Mike said there was nothing to worry about and it was cosmetic and some accidents dont need to be reported.On 3/25 we purchased the car and had to have it towed not even 24 hours later back to the dealership so it could be looked at. The dealership had the car from 3/26 to 4/12. On 4/12 we came to get the vehicle and got 10 miles down the road had to put a gallon of coolant in only to have all of it leak out on the flying j lot. The dealership them refused to pay for the repairs and said it is not their responsibility. There is no concern for the customer. It is not a good place for kids. All they care about is how much money they can squeeze out of you.You better have a good tow plan if you purchase a vehicle from them. The car is still at the dealership and we received a phone call telling us about a quote to fix the vehicle which breaks the federal breach of warranty laws if you dont qualify for lemon protection laws. There are also nationwide consumer rights protecting customers. We have not heard from the sales rep (Mike Wheeler) or the finance department, just the service department. We even asked the service department about the vehicle to make sure the problems were fixed and we were assured it was taken care of. They said everything was fixed, and inspected, and that the technician was out of the office so we couldnt talk to him.
Worst experience ever. We drive 2 hours to look at a vehicle ready to buy. They Didnt have anyone to do an appraisal on my vehicle had to wait almost an hour just for appraisal. Sales man more concerned with being on his cellphone than trying to make a deal. When I was low balled trade value for my truck the sales man got smart a** and said if you think you can get what your looking for sell it outright and put the cash on the truck. Will never go back nor recommend this place. Spent 2 and half hours pretty much sitting in a chair. Told sales man truck we were looking at had a miss and he didnt seem concerned.Honestly John didnt seem to care if he made a sale or not

My wife and I purchased a new Explorer less than a month ago. we have now taken the Explorer back to service three times all for battery/charging issues. Yes we have an all encompassing warranty but it isnt the cost to Auffenberg that has us upset. We both work and each time we have to take the vehicle to Auffenberg Service Department, they cannot fix on the spot and we have to leave the Explorer. This means one of us is without a vehicle for the day and we have to make arrangements with someone to either take us to and from work or rent a car or just not work that day.This time I mentioned to our salesman (after the service department told us not their problem, rent a car) how we are getting tired of the same issue coming up and the service department not fixing the problem once and for all. He said he would have the manager call us and make it right. well its been almost 24 hours since that call and we have not heard from anyone. So now day two is shot. Tomorrow I have begged a friend to transport me so my wife can have my vehicle tomorrow as there is no promise when the repair will be completed.I can tell you when it comes time to replace my truck, Auffenberg will not be on my list of search dealers with service like this.update:A Tim Clark (I assume some sort of dealer location manager) contacted me. He wasnt the least bit concerned with the wrong that Auffenberg did to my wife and I all he wanted to tell me is how it was the fault of the chip shortage which resulted in a car shortage and that the state of Illinois and Ford wouldnt allow them to help us with transportation.Just sickening actually that they would run from any ownership of the problem with a new car that they couldnt fix without 3 visits and my wife having to miss work because they wouldnt furnish transportation for an obviously defective vehicle.I told him it was hard to use that excuse with dozens of vehicles on the lot and I dont care about some nonsensical law by Illinois or guidelines by Ford that would be his problem to resolve if he truly wanted to actually provide good service to his customers. If they reallywanted to take care of a customer that just spent $40,000+, they could have figured something out and not have waited weeks after the repair to call and just make excuses.DO NOT go to Auffenberg to buy a vehicle. I plan to tell everyone I can about Auffenbergs poor service department and Auffengbergs policies for taking care of customers when a defective vehicle they sold and warrantied is involved.

I bought a Volkswagen last month from Will. He has been incredibly helpful to me. My car was supposed to have a headlight replacement before being given to me to take home. There was a communication issue with Volkswagen about the repair. Long story short, Will and Mike Murphy have gone above and beyond customer service to help fix this issue. I love my car and I am thankful for the superior customer service!
