I always feel like Im speaking in tongue when I try to explain my Jeeps problem to a mechanic. Kens honest and doesnt make me feel that way. He listens and understands me and makes me feel like he values my business as much as I value an honest mechanic. Hes got my business for life.
Came here for a crazy sound out of the back of the truck that no one else could recognize. This place knew exactly what the problem was from my 2 minute explanation and had me on my way with $24 worth of oil that amazingly fixed the problem. I know where to go in the future with differential issues.
Came in not knowing I would leave with a car, I usually take my time and think things over before making a big decision. However these guys will go out of the way to make sure you are comfortable and do everything they can to take care of you. I have got a few cars all from big dealerships and I have to say this store impressed me the most with the customer service from contacting me almost as someone as I inquired online and even called me a couple days after to be sure I was completely happy. Highly recommend if you are looking for a ford make this the place if you want to leave with a smile!
Thay have done great job, Fair and knowledgeable I would highly recommend them !!
1989 K5 GMC Jimmy with vibration at 60+ MPHI called Performance 4WD for help, whoever I spoke with said they were to busy to take another vehicle in, but swing by Ill take a look.Ken Jacked it up climbed underneath checked driveline angles. He said it looked good asked me to put it neutral then checked u-joints for excessive wear, they were tight. He then checked the slip yoke output seal and noticed play. Finally highway speeds with no vibration
So I have been here twice now and have not spent anything but time. Let me explain.....Ken the owner is a very honest person to deal with. I have had a couple of odd noises on my Jeep and Ken has taken a couple of minutes out of his day to look at them both and asked if I had the tools at home and I said yes. He pointed out both issues and I was able to handle the problems in minutes at home. Now there are a lot of people out there that would have loved to take my money and screwed the customer over. Ken is not that type of owner. Honest is what he is.
Good service friendly and knowledgeable
Ken and Chase know their stuff, I always leave satisfied that the job was done right!!
Had my Landcruiser towed to the shop to have the differential repaired. They did a great job. I’ve put 800 hard miles on it since and performs great. Price was excellent and I am referring everyone I know with 4wd cars here. I’m also saving up to have my Jeep worked on and may have them upgrade my rear axle to lockers.
They know their stuff!
Great shop. Had my transmission serviced and ask them to have a look at my front control arms. They adjusted my caster and now my jk on 40s steers great at high speeds even with my hydro.
Fast and Honest. Ken and his crew are the very best. They treat you like family.
This business is lagit. The owner checked my landcruiser out right away and diagnosed my problem in 10 seconds. You just cant find knowledge like this anymore
Great place to get your repairs done. Wonderful owner and staff
The only place to go for gear and transfer box work!
Have had alot of work done to a few vehicles, never a problem. Great people and solid work.
Ken and staff tons of years of experience 👍 affordable quotes for all power train needs.... thanks ken for awesome true-trac installation on both my front and rear rear end on my Ford F-350 4wheel drive👍
Had my front and rear axles regeared on my 2005 Dodge with zero issues and quick turn around!
I send trucks to Ken weekly, and he always does a great job. Best gear shop Ive ever dealt with.
Took my truck in for upgrades and to be re-geared. The shop I was working with sent the truck out to have both front and rear axles rebuilt and re-geared(cost of $1,900.00), since they did not do that kind of work. This is where performance 4 wheel drive, in Bellflower, comes in. They rebuilt both axles and re-geared the front. So far (knock on wood) the rear axle hasn’t had any issues. The front however made it 11 miles down the road before it started making god awful sounds. So I pulled to the side of the five freeway and waited for aaa to come take the truck back to the shop. Took about an hour. They said they forgot to put in the proper amount of oil so it killed a bearing. They replaced the bearings and oil. I got the truck back a few days later. After a week of driving, the inner axle seal started to leak. Called the shop and they wanted me to tow it back to them again (aaa usage number 2). They said it would be done same day, so I sent it to them. This was on a Thursday. I got the truck back the following Tuesday, because they were too busy to work on it.At this point, if the either axle has issues, it’s going to another shop. I can’t recommend this shop.
