I’m so happy that I can get bagel sandwiches again! I am not sure when it happened, but the Bagley is now operating with a fuller menu, including coffee as well! From what I could see all orders are done at a walk up window with no customers inside right now. You place your order and walk a few paces down to wait at another window. They have dedicated parking spots out front for those who decide to order online and pick up.All of these options to order are fantastic because I love the bagels and specifically the sandwiches they have on offer. At a great price you get a delicious bite with So many slices of cheese on it… it’s just a blessing in a circle shaped sammy.

Bagels and cream cheese were decent with a lot of option for both. However, the woman who rang me up was fairly inconsiderate. Felt like her man objective, through her condescending comments, was to inform me of how upset I made her for ordering bagels. I always want to support local business and will likely be back but the customer service was concerning. I have never felt compelled to write a negative review but here I am. Take it or leave it

Located a bit off the beaten path on a narrow one way street in Bellingham’s aged and noticeably PC downtown area, thought we’d discovered a hidden gem of a bagel shop when Bagelry crossed our path. And not a shop that simply sells bagels as a sideline. Eew! But a true bagel shop where they make, boil, bake, and sell BAGELS. And indeed, Bagelry is that by all appearances. But their product is not the slightly crusty, shiny, chewy boiled NY style bagels we’re used to. These were heavily crusted, as in “Yes, child, you can break a tooth” crust. Somewhat like a loaf of good, thumpable, crusty Italian bread, but there wasn’t enough of a crumb, that soft yummy inside, to offset the hard crusty exterior. Not our preference. There was too much crust that was proportionally far too thick for the product it encased. And once toasted it became that much harder. Seriously, you could break concrete with it! [Deduct 1 star.] And the flavor? It was okay, possibly even slightly good, but not great — and you shouldn’t have to convince or talk yourself into saying it’s good. It either is or it isn’t. [Hence the “okay.” Deduct 2nd star.] But if you like meandering through narrow downtowns and around and up and down on clustered side streets & smirking or raising your fist to all the “We the Pee-oppa-leez” propaganda posted on virtually every wall, and seeing the local uber enlightened and equally indoctrinated citizenry waiting patiently outside on the sidewalk for their very own hard, crusty bagels, this may be the place for you…. Us? We came, we saw, we tried, and like Johnny Mathis of old, next time we’ll walk on by. But check out what’s 2 doors down…

I am disappointed in this place. This is the first and last time I am coming here. Coffee drive-thru spots with bagel items and making bagel sandwiches at home is better than this place.I received lackluster bagel and bagel sandwiches. The bagels were dry and did not taste fresh. I paid $12 and ordered online for curbside pickup. When I arrived, there were no spots available. I called, and they told me they only start making the bagel sandwich when I arrive and let them know I am here for pickup. WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING CURBSIDE PICKUP WHEN YOU START MAKING IT AFTER I ARRIVE AND TELL YOU I ORDERED FOR PICKUP?!!! The system they have in place is totally dysfunctional and lead to bad customer experience.I waited 20 minutes more....AFTER the time that it was supposed to be available for pickup!

For starters Ive never given a place less then 3 stars. Quite literally the worst bagels Ive ever had. I can get better quality bagels out of a frozen food section in a Grocery store. Their everything bagels had almost no topping on them. I asked for a bagel and cream cheese spread on it and they didnt even bother to heat it up or toast it. Their coffee was tasteless. I wish there was a way to give negative stars but thats not an option. Not sure how this place is still in business.

Dont get me wrong, I love their bagels but the service is horrible. My wife online ordered, we were sent a link to click when we arrived. Clicked the link put in the info about the car and waited, and waited, and waited. After 10 minutes a spot opened up by the front so I moved there. Clicked the link again, nothing. Called the number on the curbside sign which told me helpful info about their online menu but then hung up on me. Waited 10 more minutes then gave up,got in the line for the window that was now 10 people deep. By the time I got to the window I had been there for almost a half hour. Let the cashier know I had been waiting that long and was met with a shrug. No sorry you had to wait so long, no apology, nothing. If you cant fulfill orders via for curbside pick up maybe you shouldnt offer it.

Truly has to be the best bagels in the world!! They are so FRESH and delicious with an excellent selection. Toppings are limited right now but the bagels ar so good that you dont want to overtake their flavor with too much stuff anyway! Currently they are doing take out only with a walk-up order window and separate pick-up window. There are a couple of reserved parking spaces for a quick pick up when ordering ahead. Also limited hours. Very organized.BAGEL PERFECTION!

I came by for a toasted bagel with egg on my lunch break and there timing for there service was horrible! I waited over 15min and saw only 2 small orders ahead of me. I looked inside and it was plenty staffed but looked like a lot of them were standing around just talking and a line quickly built behind me. I was definitely not happy about the service especially for my first time visiting this place. The bagel was ok.

I’m not sure what the hype is about this place. I’ve only had bad experiences with their bagels. It almost seems like they don’t boil their bagels before putting them in the oven or something.I’ve resorted to making my own bagels at home since moving here. I’m a big fan of the Bagelry whenever I’m in Bellingham! I often bring their bagels for trainings I’m holding, and they’re always a big hit! If I’m lucky enough to have some time before a meeting, I like to come here myself and enjoy a bagel and a latte. They make a great latte and the ambiance of the restaurant is cool with all the bustle of patrons and yummy smells.I’ve only ever tried the garlic bagel with Italian cream cheese. It’s just so so so so so good.....However, I’ve been meaning to branch out and give the others a try!The Bagelry is doing it right, that’s for sure!

The food is always top notch, even on covid-world they manage to deliver, literally. They also have a walk-up window but I suggest you order on-line for curbside pick-up, or call your order in, as the walk-up can get very crowded. Both in regular times and in covid times the service can be a little lacking, but that is because they are SO busy there is confusion and it is far between. The staff are always happy, peppy, and polite, and when there is confusion they are happy to help sort it out and never act like it is a bother or the customers fault. I highly recommend. 5 stars because there is no 6th.

I was very excited to try this place. Ordered an everything bagel and a coffee.I was given coffee in a cup where the lid didnt fit so it was spilling all over the place. Also no card board sleeves (extra burn) and they were out of everything bagels, which was not mentioned until 10 minutes after you ordered the bagel. Several others in line were also told after the fact they had to change their order. As an aside was looking for non dairy cream cheese, which I heard they had, but their signage was awful, and it wasnt clear at all. Was literally walking away from the restaurant but thought I would double check, and they did have it, just didnt advertise it? Also their google page still says they are closed, so something is clearly amiss with management. Will try to visit in a few months perhaps and see if things have improved.Ok, round 2! Went again today and their signage was better, the menu was clear. The staff was kind and actually knew what was out of stock. But once more they were out of everything bagels! The non everything bagel I received was cold (you don’t toast bagels?) and the cream cheese was so scarce it was non existent. Never again.
