Pros that know what they are talking about. HS has everything. I particularly like the ability to buy the amount of nails and screws I need. Big Box stores prepackage theirs. I get to few or too many.

The staff at Hardware sales went out of their way to locate a specific item for me. They called me with updates on what they found, and were very helpful.

I love this place. Better selection than generic hardware stores, and the staff is actually knowledgeable. I was looking for an obscure valve for a pet project of mine, and a worker went out of his way to go checkout what was in the back and present me with a cheaper option that would do the job.Highly recommend this store to everyone.

While it is a bit tricky to navigate, the team there is always super willing to make sure you find what you need. If you have some home projects questions, theyll help out too. I just recently brought my old lawn edger to your repair shop. I was worried that it might be a lost cause, or too expensive to be worth it, or that it would take too long waiting for parts etc. I was SO COMPLETELY ASTOUNDED AND THANKFUL!!! Your staff and experts at the repair shop helped me load & unload... they were kind and courteous, and most of all... these amazing problem solvers came up with genius time and cost-saving alternatives to make it affordable, efficient, and effective... AND... had my edger ready for me the very next day. WOW!!!

Can I recommend Hardware Sales enough. Selection of just about anything a guy or gal would need. And probably the most knowledgeable staff in Whatcom County. I have used their service and sales multiple times, and the rental department has been top-notch. One of the places I knew Id miss most when leaving Boulder was McGuckin Hardware. But glory be! Bellingham has Hardware Sales! Even more hardware! Fewer household goods but I can get that stuff elsewhere. A super friendly staff member duplicated some keys for me and told me about the stores history. Then I browsed and was amazed. Im looking forward to having this store and its staff to help me with future projects.

The Stihl GT 26 was sold out from Seattle to Tonasket. I was headed to Bellingham to visit family and thought I would try them. Sure enough! They had a few left. 👍🏽🪚Their customer service and knowledge is high quality! We will be back!

This is my go to place for any project lve had for almost 50 years. It is so nice to have people that have knowledge in almost every facet of hardware. Hope they can continue their incredible store so that my grandchildren can appreciate how service companies should be.

Guaranteed to pretty much have anything youre looking for. A bit claustrophobic but thats because of everything they have in such a small space. Fairly friendly staff and knowledgeable as well. Definitely worth a visit even if its just to cruise.

Although I have not shopped at this place very much because I am usually not the one doing the buying, I have been to this store on many occasions! This place also is reviewed all the time over the years by many of my grandpas and uncles. Nobody has ever said anything bad about hardware sales. From what I have seen the customer service is always very informed and will help you get exactly what you need. They are prompt and they are very knowledgeable. I feel like as I am in there visiting that these people really have a good idea of what in the world you are actually doing. That is exceptional when most of the rest of the world has not a clue. If you have to ask me to rate the expertise in the quality of and knowledge of the service at hardware sales, I would say it is a 5 star service! Good job guys it seems to me you have an excellent understanding of what things are being sold for and not just a package. But the actual concept! Good job I am certain from what I hear you guys arent hardware sales for NOTHING!

Its got everything you need. After a few visits you kind of figure out where everything is. Pretty busy place though, sometimes hard to get a clerk.

Hardware sales is the single greatest hardware store on the planet Earth. The store occupies a couple different blocks on James Street in Bellingham. Their selection of very high quality tools and hardware is second to none. What makes them the best though is their incredible staff. This store must pay a living wage because the employees have been there forever. The people working in plumbing know plumbing. The people in electrical know electrical. And on and on. Customers can go in with questions about products or repairs and get expert advice on just about anything. Have you ever thought about taping a pair of dentures to the blades of a lawn mower so that your grass looks like it was nibbled on by an exotic breed of Himalayan goat? The staff at hardware sale can probably help you with that, and I bet you they carry an epoxy especially designed just for that purpose. Im not even joking. Hardware Sales is a kind of holy place for contractors, DIY homeowners, and everyone in between. Its a Bellingham darling and one visit will show you why. I cant recommend Hardware Sales highly enough.

The staff is knowledgeable and can provide ideas for whatever project you are working on. Many of the employees are ex tradesman with lots of experience. Go here before you go to any big box stores.

This store has everything at excellent prices. The icing on top is the staff and how friendly and knowledgeable they are. The aisles are a bit narrow and marginally confusing, but every person that works at Hardware Sales knows exactly where every item is.

Hardware Sales Inc. Is awesome. The most complete hardware store youve ever seen. Actually its more like 8 warehouse sized hardware stores of different specialties spread over what seems to be 6 square blocks.Its the Wall Drug of hardware stores. I dont know why it isnt nationally famous. Any other hardware store is a pale imitation, like shopping for groceries in a gas station.

Always a pleasure shopping there. They have everything you need, and the prices are great. Plus you a always run into someone you havent seen for awhile.

These guys always give me the best, no nonsense, affordably priced service. I dont call anyone else with our tool and mower problems before I call these guys. Their service and repair department has the best employees and they never make me feel like an idiot for not knowing a darned thing about a darned thing. And I love I can call on the phone and a human being picks up.

They dont make hardware stores like this anymore. Knowledgeable friendly staff and everything you could possibly need to get the job done! Some items are slightly more expensive than big box stores, but I wouldnt take my business anywhere else.

Its the most well stocked hardware store I have been in. There prices are in range to be competitive. They either have it or can get it and even will send you to a place where they have it. There staff are very informative, and help full. This is the kind of hardware store that I knew as a kid.

This place is amazing; you can find almost anything hardware-related plus lots of great yard and garden items. Its an old-school hardware store where you can still buy just one or two screws in a wide range of sizes. Not only do they have a fantastic selection, there are multiple friendly and knowledgeable employees ready to help you find that part youve been searching for.

Best tool store ever. Been struggling to find a really small socket or nut driver and I even struck out on Amazon. They actually had what I needed, I just had to ask one of their staff to help me locate it. They have a fastener section that you could get anything from screws for a watch up to bolts to build a bridge.

I went into Hardware sales tonight to look into renting a lift for an upcoming project. I had the pleasure of speaking with Buzz who took the time to understand my needs and also the layout of my home and surrounding area as it impacts the project. We actually had fun talking through the details as we got to what my best option is. Renting from Hardware Sales is also more cost effective than other similar places. Good selection. OK prices. A lot of employees. Was nice at first, got me to where I wanted to be. Also, the lady working upstairs was great. But the feeling wore off. The layout and good selection of products seems to be great for the wanderer. But some of the employees seems like they want you in and out. I wasnt sure if they wanted to help or thought I was stealing. Made me feel nervous. Got a Locals Only vibe.
