Since the first day I walked into Gennaro Jewelers I was quite impressed at the kindness, patience and professionalism I experienced. I went in with my original engagement ring which is 32 years old --- the band split away from the diamond band and the prongs were very worn. I found my father-in-laws 1940s gold watch stuffed in a bag in the bottom of a shoe box. I took it to Gennaro Jewelers for restoration. Wow! The watch got a complete overhaul and new crystal. We recent ly visited Gennaro after seeing a commercial on local News12. We walked in and we really felt like we were long time customers and like family. What a fantastic experience. A salesperson came right over her name was Angela and immediately we felt as I mentioned that we were long time customers. I am a first responder and they cleaned my rings (in front of me) gave me a great first responder pin. She had the owner come over (Gary) and we talked for a few minutes. This will be our go to place for Jewelry. I dropped in last week to have my engagement ring setting checked to make sure stones were not loose.... the stones were fine but there were several cracks in the platinum! I would never have known! My husband and I took our wedding bands there for some cleaning and repairs. We had the pleasure of working with Irene.The whole experience from startto finish was pleasant and professional. The women who work here are stuck in highschool. News flash, you DONT have to be dress nicely to have money. They looked me up and down meanwhile they are working a 9-5 and I’m coming in on a beautiful early afternoon to inquire about getting some jewelry fixed. If I was poor, don’t you think I’d be working? Never judge a book by its cover because the real rich never show off.

Went in to get the prongs of my engagement ring tightened. Id heard about this place not letting your jewelry out of your sight and they are not kidding. The moment they take your jewelry and have to move to another area of the store, the jewelry is held at arms length over their head while you follow along.Thomas assisted us in the process. And while he appeared to be relatively new, he was very personable and knowledgeable. He steam cleaned our ring and reviewed it under a high powered camera lens that showed it on the large public viewing monitor to review the characteristics of our diamonds.They assessed the repair that needed to be done and determined we needed to come back another day. But know: if it can be done right away, they will do it on the spot.Note: this is not a sleepy jewelry store. They were really busy. If you want to mosie around/shop and see what they have on display, weekends arent the day to do so.There were about six salespersons each helping their own customers. Most were single customers; others were couples, but all were actively being helped. It appears that most were there for repairs/cleaning, picking up or just knew what they were looking for. All joking aside, they were like bees buzzing around a hive. All zig zagging around each other, Jewelry in hand taking to the next station.We were there for about 30 minutes from beginning to end. And when we left, there was a line outside waiting to get in.For those that are wondering: Masks are optional if you are vaccinated, and requires you to wear one if you are not. But everyone that was working was masked.Also, they have two large displays of First Responders jewelry, if your in need of that.Lastly, they had The Wizard of Oz on loop, muted, playing on the other monitors. Not sure why that was about but it was kinda cute.

Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. They are so extremely kind and professional. I went in with my mother to get her two rings checked out and to get a price. They clean the jewelry for you, and the coolest part is they use a specific color paper clip so you know it’s yours. EVERYTHING that is done in this store is done in front of you. The jewelry NEVER leaves your sight and they honor that. Then they put your item under a camera and put it onto a TV screen. Someone will help and show you any issues with your item and show you how to know it’s yours just In case any place tries to pull any funny business. The person who helped us was Beverly. She was extremely informative, and had a wonderful personality. We asked a bunch of questions and she did not hesitate to answer them all. She did not get annoyed or upset and she made sure we understood everything about our items. THEN Beverly brought Gary out. Gary is the most knowledgeable man you can speak to. He is no joke. He will tell you stuff as it is, no sugar coating anything and he will make sure that you understand everything. We probably talked with him for 30 min and it was so nice of him to take the time out of his day to talk to us on how to protect our rings, how he believes we can sell them safely, what price is right, what we should look out for, and he also gave us history of Gennaro jewelry! This guy is literally amazing. If you need any help definitely talk to Gary or Beverly. We left the store so extremely satisfied and i totally recommend that you check them out whether you’re buying, pricing, or even just looking. This place is amazing and the staff is absolutely fantastic. 11/10

Totally Amazing!! I brought in my grandmothers diamond and picked out a ring with the help of Angela, one of their staff members, and they sized the ring and set the diamond for me. Went to Gennaro Jewelers today and I couldn’t be happier. I appreciated their honesty about which of my items could and couldn’t be repaired - I’d rather know the truth than have them charge me for something that isn’t going to turn out right. Laura was a huge help, stayed with us through the whole process, explained everything in detail, and went out of her way to make us happy and comfortable. As far as I’m concerned, Gennaro is now the only jeweler on the island.

I visited Gennaro Jewelers twice over the past two weeks. I had the pleasure of working with Raquel, Laura and Mara. Each one was beyond helpful! They are professional, knowledgeable and kind. They took their time with me and answered all my questions. There was no pressure at all. Both visits I left extremely satisfied with their service.

I just wish I had a before pic, but my brothers house burned down this past Saturday. His and his wifes wedding rings were found (unbelievably), but burnt to a crisp. I took them to Gennaros to see if there was anything to be done. Unfortunately for my brother, his ring didnt do so well (titanium). But, they were able to clean it and he likes the blueish shade of purple it is now, so he is still going to wear it. (It does look kind of cool.)They spent 2 hours on my sister in laws rings. They replaced a diamond, tightened all the prongs, dipped it (once the char came off, it looked pink) and shined it up. They look as good as new. Only under a microscope could you tell there was any damage.When I went to pay for it - they wouldnt take any money. I literally started crying and hugged anyone in front of me. They dont know me. I go in there every couple of years for a gift. These are just GOOD people!! I started going there when they were on Oprah years ago, they are one of, if not THE, most honest jeweler in NY.So, if anybody is in the market for any type of jewelry, please consider Gennaro Jewelers, in Bellmore, with special consideration to Sean for being so kind and patient with me

I came in to have a stone replaced on my mothers wedding ring. The ring is 95 years old and has an inscription on the inside of the band. Angela helped me pick out a stone and explained the process. I was nervous because of the age of the ring and concerned about damage to the inscription when the ring was cleaned and polished. Angela made sure to note not to touch the inscription. The final product is beautiful. I am very satisfied.

Had to go there twice. Initially i went to get my ring re sized but my consultantant and the ring setter ended up finding that my ring was never properly set. You ALWAYS have your ring in sight and they show you on the screen in detail of your ring. My consultantant was DIANA and she was amazing!!!! First experience at Gennaro Jewelers and it was a great one. My wife has been wanting to have her engagement ring and wedding band resized so we decided to visit after a local jeweler to us in Bethpage was closed. We were not at all familiar with Gennaro - aside from seeing it when we visited a local restaurant for breakfast a couple of months ago.Angela welcomed us and introduced us to Gennaro. Most do not stumble upon the store as we had. They get customers based upon positive reviews their existing customers share with others. Angela took care to explain their services and what they could do in the shop on Sunday - on the same day we visited. We would spend a good 75 minutes in the store. During that time, the rings were always in view. In fact, they bend over backwards when the rings are moved from one station to another in the store. Initially, Angela cleaned the rings. She then put the engagement ring under a lens so that it could be magnified before any work was to begin. We were given a clear estimate up front regarding the cost. We agreed to have the rings resized.The rings were brought to a series of technicians. The first used a couple of tools to ensure that all stones were secured. Angela then brought us to another station where the rings were worked upon. My wifes rings were sized to her liking and satisfaction. There were two individuals who assisted with the resizing process and there is too much to explain. In the end, my wife got back her rings as if they were brand new. They were stunning and they looked perfect. It was such a good experience that I will definitely visit them for any future jewelry needs. Customer service was five stars. Again, it is very important that the rings, especially the engagement ring, never leave your view. They made sure of that throughout our visit. We were so glad to have chosen Gennaro for this work.

I just came back from my first time at Gennaro Jewelers. I am recently engaged and was given my grandmother’s heirloom ring. I loved it and didn’t want to change it too much, but I knew that it needed a re-sizing, a deep cleaning, and probably some minor adjustments. I’ll be honest, I was nervous walking into a reputable jeweler with a less expensive and therefore less “important” ring. I figured that I would deal with slight condescension and that they would be more interested in selling their own rings (which btw are GORGEOUS all around) than dealing with my little antique. I was so wrong. They treated me and my grandmother’s ring like we were the most important customer! I loved watching them work on the ring. Being able to see the process was so interesting and cool! Gary kept me educated about each step as we went along. When I saw the finished product (because they re-sized it, re-plated it, cut back some heavy-handed prongs to reveal the stone better, cleaned it, and appraised it ALL IN A LITTLE OVER ONE HOUR WHILE I WATCHED) I actually said “holy s***!” I couldn’t believe it. No big changes were made, but it looks like a completely different ring now! I was given a generous discount for being a first-time customer, and I left there pretty much flabbergasted at what had just happened. I recommend Gennaro as highly as is possible.

Mark helped us. He was attentive and really listened to what we wanted. Over the next few weeks, he took great care and designed a unique and beautiful ring that each of us love. Mark also expressed joy at having the opportunity to design something that was individual to us, knowing how much it meant to us as sisters. Very friendly staff and very helpful. For the particular ring we were looking for, we were shown several types with a varying price range. No pressure to buy the most expensive one. Our sales clerk was Cindy and she seemed genuinely interested in our satisfaction and not in making a big sale. We got a nice ring at a great price.

This place is Amazing! I never write or rate places but this place was so good I felt the need. I went for 2 reasons, 1 get an appraisal on a diamond and 2 get an engagement ring. They are extremely professional in handling your diamonds and always make sure it’s in your sight. And unlike other places I went to look for an engagement ring this place was honest and helpful. I got the ring I wanted not just a ring they had. They walked me through selecting a diamond and a setting and helped me budget my ring. They did not force me to buy there, they even told me to look at other places first, they cared about what I wanted. This kind of service can not be beat. Plus they are generous to service members and first responders!

I order a Law enforcement ring in which they show me a picture of how the ring was going to come out I approved the design, when I received the ring I noticed that the word Sergeant underneath the shield was missing I sent the ring back for repair spoke to a Maureen, she responded that there is nothing that they can do after I paid in full. I had a great experience at Gennaro today as always! When I walked through the door, I was greeted by the smiley employee Sean, which always starts off the experience right! The other employees continue to greet me even if they are busy with their own clients- which is a really nice touch to this small town business. I am also always truly impressed that my diamond ring never leaves my site while it gets cleaned. Due to some deep scratches on the band, the owner of the store even got his hands dirty in polishing up my ring. I am three days from my wedding and am so relieved that my ring is shiny and new after taking it to Gennaro! Will always go back for further cleanings and other jewelry purchases :) I highly recommend them to others

This is a great friendly jewelers. Went here for the very first time to have some jewelry repaired. The staff are warm friendly and they even have a screen that you can see the areas that need repair. They even can do custom made pieces. In this era of big box stores, it is still good to find a friendly knowledgeable jewelers that are attentive to your needs and were the prices are right to fit your budget.

I went to Gennaro’s to have 2 diamond rings appraised. My salesman, Mark, helped me right away & actually spent 1 1/2 hrs with me! I went to Gennaro Jewelers for my engagement ring. Theresa helped me pick out my setting. She was extremely patient and knowledgeable. I went back a week later to have the diamond set and pick up my ring. Mark was there to assist me that time. He was also very patient and knowledgeable. He explained each and every step of the process to me. I LOVE that your diamond NEVER leaves your sight at Gennaro Jewelers! They walk around holding their hand up high so that you can always see your diamond. They also have a glass window so you can watch as they set, resize, appraise and/or repair your jewelry. Gennaro Jewelers is the ONLY place I will go, I would highly recommend them!

They are a Bellmore institution since the 1920s which is a testament to their excellence, especially in todays retail environment. The staff is always helpful, friendly and most of all knowledgeable. Adriana and Diana helped me with a custom engagement ring. After going to a local jeweler, and having my ring altered terribly I had no other choice but to get a new setting. I was very low on patience and wanted to just get a another setting. But Diana and Adriana steered me in the right direction to get duplicate my ring and add a halo. They were wonderful and knew deep down I wanted to keep my unique ideas on the band. They will tell you exactly what they will do, and what will look correct. Nothing is sugarcoated. Quality service while you wait or for drop off. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ive never had an issue with this place, and they rose to the challenge of repairing one of my favorite pieces that no one else could. I go out of my way to get to this place. It doesnt have parking of its own but theres a municipal lot about two blocks away.

An amazing experience! I went to Gennaro after losing faith in our previous jeweler in achieving what i needed. From the moment I walked into the shop, I felt well taken care of and understood. The attention to detail and patience I received was impressive.I needed to have a ring made that would open and close to accommodate my arthritis. Mark worked with my husband and I tirelessly to design the ring I was dreaming of, all while making sure the ring would be the perfect one to accomodate the arthritis issue.The result was astounding! The artistry and skill of the jewelers wasbeyond our expectations. The way my stone was never out of my sight and the respect of the safety of the stone was over the top. Believe me, my ring as gorgeous as it is, is not anything over the top in revenue for them and yet I was treated as if I was purchasing a very large ticket item. Came in today to get my diamond ring setting refurbished. Mark was great. He supervised every stage of the process as all the work was done right in front of my eyes. They couldnt have been nicer.
