I love getting lunch here. It has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Tammy, the owner, has high standards and the food is always fresh. Soups and desserts change daily... nice variety. Would recommend going.

My first time stopping in I was greeted by very polite staff who walked me through the wonderfully simple ordering process and that was just the beginning of my great first experience, than I ordered the special any sandwich and side wt a free drink. It was delicious and fresh I definitely will be coming back and I recommend you bring your friends and family.

The BEST coconut cream pie Ive ever had. I ate one slice while I waited for my lunch and another slice AFTER!!! They were so friendly - but my waistline is thankful I live a safe distance away😂

Order takers didnt take order correctly, very unfriendly, sandwich was piece of meat and plain dry sandwich bread that my 4 year old grandchild could put together and make it more appealing. Cold chicken and dumplings that tasted like it was just opened from a can and was charged $13.00, never again.

Adorable home town cafe that we stumbled upon when we hopped off I-35 for a bite while enroute to Ft Worth. Simple, reasonably priced menu with homemade soups and deserts. The women working were so friendly. So thanks from a couple New Yorkers for the fine food and southern hospitality.

This is a neat little lunch room across from y the Bell County Courthouse. The ham sandwich was pretty average. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is top notch.

Great coffee, no need for cream or sugar to be added and its included with the meals. The food is fresh and delicious. The owner and her employees are very professional. The quality of the food is a reflection of their commitment to excellence. If you havent stopped by yet, I recommend you do.

The food is very good and the atmosphere is great. The ladies who served us were friendly and took great care of us. We have been in twice and enjoyed it both times. Wednesday is Chicken N Dumplings day and they are definitely something to write home about! Yummy. Keep in mind they are open from 10 to 3 Monday through Friday ... but a great get-away-from-the-ordinary place.

Discovered this hidden gem last April when visiting a friend in Belton. Since then, have eaten lunch here at least once a week, even though its 16 miles from home. Lucky for me, Ive been working in Belton since the end of May, and have enjoyed lunch here nearly every week day. The sandwiches, soup, sides, and desserts are stellar, fresh and tasty ! The atmosphere is relaxing and its located right on our beautiful court house square. The staff are always so friendly and efficient. I guarantee that lunch at Sarsaparilla Saloon & Cafe will brighten your day. Id give them 10 Stars if I could.

Amazingly inexpensive- good quality home cooked food. Lovely old store on the square with friendly owner and staff. Can’t go wrong here.

The offerings are great. And while Ive only had one thing here, so far, it has been great and made to order. The desserts, havent tried yet, look delicious! And The prices are reasonable. This is a great place for lunch to sit and dine in or take out. A must in Belton.

Way overpriced for a taco salad with little on it. Also management should never scold employees in front of customers and other coworkers. I would go back for coffee as it has a nice atmosphere.

We stopped in for lunch during the week. You stand in line to order. Not a huge selection of sandwiches and salads. They also serve homemade soup. I ordered an Italian wrap with tomato and basil soup.. Not very impressed. Sandwich didnt have a lot of filling. Soup was ok. My husband on the other hand had a BLT and chicken and dumplings. He loved the chicken and dumplings, sandwich was just ok. The staff was very friendly. My husband would go back, I wouldnt.

I am a HUGE local business supporter so I was excited to finally give them a try. Totally charming interior, super friendly staff, but the food was simply sub-par. The grilled chicken on the salad was so dry it wasnt edible. The soutwestern chili and the broccoli cheese soup both tasted like they came directly out of a can. The chocolate milkshakes were horrible, both my kids threw them out. If youre looking for an awesome spot to have a glass of tea and catch up with an old friend, this is the place! If youre looking for awesome good, look elsewhere.

Not sure what all these 5 star ratings are for??? $5 for two pieces of white bread, 2 slices of pressed meat and some kraft cheese. No chips or drink. Home cooked???? The shake was ok. Just dont get the other reviews......

How many restaurants let you contact them on Facebook and reserve a slice of pie? Sarsparilla does! Tammy makes a different soup and dessert every day to go with the standard menu of sandwiches. Everything is made fresh each day. Customize your sandwich to your hearts desire. I like asking for jalapeños on my Dagwood - theres a secret stash of peppers in the fridge. Get there early and beat the rush at lunchtime.

I love the chicken salad on a croissant. Sweet teas and Foofoo to top it off.

Soooo good! I ordered a lunch special with a sandwich and soup which included a sweet tea all for $7.99. I tried the Dagwood sandwich and Jalapeño Cheeseburger soup. I also couldnt pass up the Berry Pineapple Foo Foo for dessert!The sandwich, offered on a few choices of bread, had a variety of meats and choice of cheese. I went with wheat hoagie with pepper jack. The veggies were fresh and crispy.The soup was creamy but not too thick, and had just the right kick. It also had plenty of texture from the ground beef, potatoes, cheese and peppers.The dessert had a nice balance of flavor and texture, I especially liked the marshmallows and pineapple pieces, and that it wasnt too heavy or rich.I hadnt eaten breakfast, and here I sit appropriately full but not stuffed. The prices were reasonable and the quality was excellent!The staff were friendly and engaging, but not intrusive, and even offered to refill my tea for me while I finished my meal! This was a nice touch which I didnt expect!Next time Im in Belton for lunch, it will be an easy choice to stop by again!

Food was bland and slightly pricey. Had a turkey sandwich and vegetable soup, neither were worth recommending. However, the decor was nice and the wait staff were professional.
