Unexpected surprise, in small grocery store in Belvidere IL, on a sunday afternoon, seeking for tacos, good tasting, authentic, we ended up here, and the only reason I wouldnt give it 5* is bcz of the sitting, on display for other customers that are actually grocery shopping to see, but heres some pics of the experience we had. Food was delicious needless to say, the salsas👌🏼, and whoever grew in a Mexican oriented family, knows how grown women can be very tentative and caring and thats exactly how it feels when get there, highly recommend!!👌🏼

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Ordered 2 steak burritos and both of them had very very little steak my burrito was all beans and when the guy was making my food another cook came over and took most of the steak off the grill that were for my burritos and put it on something for himself very disgusting food I wont go back there ever

Shop here when we dont feel like going to Rockford. Never had any problems. Tried their steak tacos tonight. They were very good.

It’s a good small little place if you’re looking for specific ingredients for your dinner . The produce here is actually fresh. Gave 5 stars because it’s my first time here and didn’t have any issues

Produce, and meat are really overpriced, when we go here it is for the carnitas. The carnitas are the best in the area. The tacos used to be good. The last few times we had them the quality went down a bit. The pastor is still pretty good when they actually cook it on the trompo., the salsas are pretty good too. I havent had the tamales in years, but I remember a few times that we bought them they were okay. The guy at the food counter can be rude, thats another reason we stopped eating here, and we just buy carnitas and rat them at home.

My daughter goes there for forgetful last minute things. The last few times she has gone, the guy who was working throws the card down/money down. I brushed it off the first few times thinking ok, maybe bad day, tired whatever. Today, she went again, and she brought a friend with her, they both came in and her friend said he threw the card and was like here rudely. Im sorry but we tend to but a few things a week there and now Im not happy with the treatment. So unfortunately, we will be taking our business somewhere else. I hate to do it because its so convenient to just swing by, but if he is going to continue his behavior, then going somewhere else is worth it.

Okay I waited to write a review because I doubted that my first impression was going to be on point. So now I’ve been there a couple of times and although they might be a touch expensive, I will gladly pay it because the service is outstanding. I’d rather pay the little extra a get excellent customer service than get a jerk that’s interested in making a sale instead of giving me quality service. I have bought chicken, steak, chicharron, produce and prepared food. Everything is quality so far. I love the green tamales!! They only sell them on Friday and Saturday, but they are so good. I used to go to fiesta but between the guys that cut the meat not so well, and the girls who give attitude, and you get not so excellent quality or service, no thank you.Guanaguatito is by far excellent and up to par!

Moved from Chicago looking for the neighborhood bodega and found this place after having bad experiences at other very obvious places. Small, limited but quality everywhere. Old school modern day Mexicans, I loved this place.

Very bad service. Do not shop here. The items are overpriced and the owner is very rude. My order at their restaurant was incorrect and the owner refused to replace my food. Muy mal servicio.

Badly bad, two weeks ago I went to buy ready-to-eat food I bought tacos of intestines and gorditas of roast and slices that by the way the gorditas were hard seemed of weeks I was trying to bite him and could not be too hard the chubby and the meat and the rajas looked at days how it is possible to sell meat in these conditions will not pay a high cost for such poor quality
