This place is the best and I am a return customer, not just a one-time shopper. They have a genuine interest in the benefit of their patrons and offer a buffet of services. I had a lower cerakoted and laser engraved and it turned out beautiful. They were upfront and honest with good pricing and remained in communication throughout the process with a turnaround in just one week. Beyond that, We are in a pandemic panic time now and I have used them for an FFl on 4 firearms purchases and their communication skills remain superb replying to emails even on days the store is not open and putting up with some disorganized online retailers resending licensing material that was misplaced all in a timely and friendly fashion. I dont know anyone on a personal level there but I feel treated as if I were family. These people will do what they can for you.

I got all 3 rifles I own and a hand gun from Rob and the RSM team I got a great AR that they hand built and my gods it runs like the energizer bunny on crack. I have put about 3 mags in it for a rapid fire test and the only problem I had is I over heated my hand. If your going to get some thing built go to RSM they have great customer service and a very knowledgeable staff. And you can always find a weird little treasure like my new project rifle I got for 150.

Everyone here is a shooter, they arent going to lie about Brand X for the sale, they will advise you on flaws and perks; if you want something specific and are serious, the owner will find it for you; if there is something they know that will help, theyll do it even if it doesnt cost anything. Advice is free and abundant; loitering is advised, they rescue dogs, unless you somehow can hate puppies or fun.

Knowledge staff, they do not charge fees for paperwork when purchasing a weapon, like others do.

I spend too much time in here, their prices are usually better than bigger shops around the state, the gunsmith is a laugh who knows his stuff, the owners handle everything personally and are splendid people.

First of all, the people at RSM are great to deal with. Second, they do great Ceracote work. 4 different complete firearms for me and I have no complaints at all. Third, I dont think that there is anything to do with firearms that they cannot help you with.

I have purchased several firearms from RSM both directly and through another dealer with it dropped shipped to RSM to handle the paperwork. They are easy to work with and provide excellent service. I highly recommend them - a traditional home town store that delivers and often beats big box and internet stores. If they cannot get it cheaper they will tell you and still help handle the transaction. Nice to have them in the Belvidere community.

Gotta give RSM a huge shout out! Not only did they give me a really fair price on my trade. They offered the best price on the Glock I wanted that I was able to find. But even more than the price RSMs customer service set them apart from every other gun store Ive been to. Shortly after I made the purchase my work schedule got changed suddenly and directly conflicted with the store hours. I wasnt sure when I would be able to pick up the gun. The store owner Rob went out of his way to accomodate me when he really didnt have to. Not only that, he got me the gun almost a week earlier that he originally thought! Above and beyond. Even though the brick and mortor store is only open 3 days a week their website is possibly the best firearms store website I have been on. So I did most of my legwork just through the website. I really just had to go in and do the paperwork. Cannot recommend RSM firearms enough. I will definitely be back.

The guy is a big mouth clown and a clueless amateur. Im a gun dealer, specializing in collectible firearms, so whenever I picked something to buy in his store he would try to get as much information from me about the gun as he could but wouldnt sell it to me because he assumed Im buying for resale. So even when I offered full sticker price for the gun he wouldnt take it thinking I knew something about the gun that he didnt and hoping he could get more from somebody else. What a great business strategy. Never met anybody like that in this business in 15 years.

I searched far and wide for a good deal on a quality Mosin-Nagant rifle in northern Illinois. Rob happens to be a connoisseur with a few crates worth in his selection. Rob stays competitive with the internet market and offers a selection of Hex and Round receivers spanning through the years up to and during the war. The added benefit of getting one at a store is that you can inspect it yourself for quality. Couldnt have hoped for a better experience. Super friendly service! You can clearly tell that both Rob and Sandy are good people and are very easy to talk to. They even offered me a bottle of water just because I was there.I have owned my Mosin for over a month now and it has performed beautifully at the range. I keep getting nice comments from others about it. Great buy. Not an unreasonable drive from Chicago if you are able to beat the afternoon traffic coming onto I90.
