Happened upon this place while picking up some antiques in cute downtown benicia. Family oriented vibe, regular customers, friendly faces and good food!! I am glad I chose this smokehouse deli to enjoy some lunch. Big portions, decent serving of meat to breed ratio.

Fantastic selection of excellent quality gourmet herbs, spices, cheeses, sausages, pastas, and sweets that will upgrade your shin-dig or just make a simple meal at home delightfully decadent. Heritage Pantry and Spice has a friendly, knowledgeable staff that can make unique suggestions that help expand your palate as well as elevate your traditional recipes. Highly recommended!

This place is no longer a Kinders. Insert sad face here. The sandwich I was tasty but not the same. It is, however, conveniently located for our purposes and while the staff was very friendly they were a bit slow. Next time Ill get the beef.

You can smell the heavenlyness from down the street, and once you get your order it does not disappoint. Large portions of great barbeque and sides. Nice friendly staff.

Weird, unfriendly vibe here. I should have had one of their sandwiches but a friend suggested burgers. They were just ok. Perhaps their bbq is good? Ill never know as the place is so unappealing I have no desire to return.

I was very disappointed. I wanted to like this place. It would have been great to have another option for sandwiches, other than Subway or Sprankles (which I’ve enjoyed more.) I walked in to this place and there was a smell, not a good smell. I was waited on fairly quickly, but when I asked if the macaroni salad was made there, the guy who helped me seem unsure at first. I ordered a sandwich that came with the olive spread. There was way to much, as it overpowered the meats. The spread was also very dry. The meat to bread ratio was off. Very thin layer of meat, which didn’t taste like quality meats. I left there spending a little more than $20 for a sandwich, side salad and a very small slice of their flourless cake. This did include a tip, but can’t imagine spending $40 for a couple on a sandwich meal. Unfortunately, the sandwich was still tasteless even after scraping off some of the olive spread. I picked through 3/4 of it. So disappointed.

LEGIT smokehouse 👌🏻🔥The smell will draw you in from the street.Sure, they have sammies and some other goodies, but youre here for the meats. Served by the ounce you get as much as you want. They also serve smoked chicken by the quarter for a steal, so throw one of those on your order - youll be glad you did.You wont leave hungry, not for those with a weak appitite 🍖🍗🙂

The quality of the ingredients was good but there was not an abundance of meat in the sandwich. More bread than anything else.

Nicely situated right on 1st Street. Beautiful meats and cheeses. You can get a cone of cured meats that you select as well as sandwiches. There are 2 levels of meats to choose from for your cone. The everyday meats like capicola, prosciutto, and Genoa salami $7.99 to premium meats like prosciutto americana, smoked duck breast, and duck prosciutto $11.99Wonderful quality of spices and some high end products like Santa Barbara Olive Co. Definitely a place to visit on your Benicia trip.
