I had one of the best experiences there with the cashier on Sept 24 late morning. She was so helpful with what discounts i could use plus she also signed me up for the emails as well.

I am a dude who knows nothing about anything in this store. My mother asked me to pick something up. Everyone was super helpful and very friendly to this bull in their china shop! Whoever JoAnn is shes got a great crew. ;)

The store seems to have decent inventory, but I have noticed a sharp uptick in prices on items. Some stock is still very limited, and certain items are hard to get a hold of. sewing machines and some equipment is hard to find in the store, but most notions and fabrics are still in stock. The store was clean and relatively organized, mostly I think from the shift of one holiday to another.

The fabric I was wanting was on sale. The lady cutting fabric asked if I received coupons on my phone. I said no. She told me if I could, I could receive another 20% off. At the register I asked the young man if I could receive the 20% off and he said with the coupon on my phone. He helped me set my phone up for coupons. He is to be commended for his going out of the way response and help he gave to me.

Very helpful staff. Doing a great job of reminding people about maintaining safety in a pleasant way. Manager quickly addressed a minor issue that came up. Very happy.

They have some very very powerful smelling candles. The sandalwood candle is my favorite :)

I know they are small and their major product is fabric, but with them carrying only the newest fad in paper crafting is causing for more and more online ordering. (Just a side note, if our local Michaels was as good as Portages, we would not have to order online.) As for the general supplies like tape, glue and paper I found what I needed. What I needed to finish will have to wait until I can afford to run around, sorry I love my Joann

Joann fabrics has always provided personal service with patience respect and intelligence. We have been shopping here for years and have created hundreds of blankets (fleece) for our own children, our daycare children, our classrooms, and now our grandchildren. I have gone in with a list of forty children I wanted individualized patterns for each child to match their personality. We would match colors and patterns and they would cut the material for hours sometimes. It was always a great experience. I love this Joann fabrics!

I just went to this store. I dont sew or do crafts but I am having my neighbor who sews to make me some curtains. I went to Joanns to get the Fabric and thread. I really had no Idea about the Fabric, what kind to get but I thought there would be someone there to help me with that. WRONG!!! Only saw 2 employees and when I asked for help they just pointed in general direction. Well there was alot of stuff in that direction. I am 70 years old, and you would think that since I told them I didnt sew they would have been helpful. I dont know when Ive been to a store with employees like that. I guess Im lucky I dont sew cause I dont have to go back there again unlike people who sew for hobbies or just to do nice things for family. And after reading these reviews I see Im not only one, to bad the owner of this store has no clue.

Some staff are more helpful than others. There is a decent selection of fabrics. Plenty of cottons, not enough for other projects, and the patterns in the fabric are often wavy.

They had Trolls fabric that I could cut out the little people and sew on stuff.

Not as good as it used to be. Very rude employees. Went there and the lady cutting the fabric was very rude and crabby. Tried to accuse me of stealing fabric. Other customers were staring and glaring at me while I was checking out the patterns. Youre better off going down to Portage JoAnns instead of here.
