Bought from them on Biblio and the delivery was running a little late. Some of the reviews on here were making me nervous so I reached out to the company and they responded promptly. Order came one business day after the max estimated time but that can be explained away by a slower than normal USPS. Not a huge deal. I would have liked a tracking number for the order, but with the low price and high quality of the book, I have little to complain about.I would buy from them again. Theyve got some good deals on new copies of mass markets on Biblio.

Book order was filled and received it in 4 days. I was a kid in Watervliet who knows the store. Its nice to be serviced all the way down in Houston Texas. Thanks Lakeside, we will meet again

Book store is very easy to do business with great prices and communication. They answered all of my questions when I called about my order. The only minor issue is I never received the email when my audio books were shipped with a tracking number. However; they were received in the specified time as promised by Lakeside Books.

I placed an order with them through Abebooks on 2/16. Never received an order confirmation email and until I emailed them, they sent a tracking number that has not been updated since 2/24 STILL in Benton Harbor! Terrible.

I placed an order through Amazon that was serviced by this company. Never received the books. The day I was supposed to receive the books, i got an email saying my order had been cancelled. Sent an email to ask why and never heard back from them. Will never order from them again. August 2020

EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I asked a clarifying question on my orders cover art, and without any attempt to confirm or check or explain why they could or could not check, they cancelled my order.How lazy can you get?They didnt even ask if I wanted it cancelled. DO NOT BOTHER

I dont know how they are in person but their eBay listing is a scam. Over a month package never showed up and they never replied to any of my messages. Thankfully eBay refunded me since they provided a false tracking number.

Very quant off the road bookstore with amazing prices. They will also buy back books, especially college books. If theres a book you need, they can order it in. Very friendly service as well with a great variety. Great place for Christmas and birthday ideas!

Quaint little place, excellent prices for books and a good selection of childrens materials. They are a little off the beaten path and main roads, but definitely worth checking out if you like books or need a specific book but dont want to order online.They also have reading lights and bookmarks that are solid and again great prices.

My avid reader of a son walked in and within 5 minutes found all 4 of a series he was interested in reading. The prices were great and the staff was super friendly.

Be very cautious when dealing with this company. I ordered a book from them which stated it would be shipped within 1-2 days. It didnt arrived for 14 days (were one state over). Upon opening, it was the wrong book. I returned by UPS to seller and have a tracking receipt that they received it. Now, after 4 weeks, they still have not issued a refund or answered any phone calls or emails. Be very cautious!UPDATE: After several weeks, I finally received a refund on my credit card. My original comments still stand about their lack of personal customer care.

I was very impressed on how much inventory was in store. If they dont have it they will order it for you. Jeanese is friendly and very helpful on getting you what you need.

Went there to find tqo fairly common books ( Thinking Fast and Slow and How to Win friends and Influence People) and they did not have them in stock. They were able to order them for me and give me 25% off of retail price. I would call ahead or just order them online if you really wanted a particualr book.

This place is a joke.delivered misprinted product twice.was aggressive and rude in email.oh and the employees are the positive reviews.run away, give your money to someone else.

This place has alot of improvement that needs to be made. My issue started with them selling books on Barnes and Noble website as a third party seller. I seen them as a local business to my location and called to be sure they had inventory of what I wanted to buy. They claimed they have the listing made in error, but really didnt have the items in stock?? The lady on the phone said they may have more coming on truck. Hour and hours went by with no follow up. Had to call, but honestly nobody answers the phone at this business. They answer maybe one time out of four or so calls throughout the day (call and see for yourself). First day after many calls I find out they have nothing on truck, Day two many calls, no followup and nothing on truck. Day three not sure no followup and probably not on truck. Went elsewhere to Amazon to find this item and located another third party seller listed not as lakeside, but as Ambis with another post for this item. Come to find out it was them again, but on a different website with no avaliable inventory. Between advertising products they dont have, not answering the phone and poor followup I would recommend a different bookstore. This is the first review of any business I ever wrote a review for bad service. As a small business you need to get someone to answer the phones, monitor listings and put a phone call into IT to correct your fulfillment systems. At least thats what employee stated was the issue with the listings. Invest the money now before customers continue to get disappointed. This is something by the sounds of it that happens to often at your business with advertising of products you dont have.

A wasted drive to a neighboring town expecting to buy a book they advertise but do not have in stock. A large banner disclaimer saying we dont have what you think you are coming here to buy would save gas money.
