Best authentic Mexican food I have ever had in the U.S. Way better than any restaurant. Purchased at the stand out front.

This place has some of the best Mexican food in Michigan. Their salsas are delicious, but may be a bit spicy for someone with a milder taste. Its up there with Los Aztecas in Mt. Pleasant and El Oasis in Lansing. I would probably say it was the best if they did more salsas and had a vegetarian option. The store has delicious tortillas. The flour tortillas the restaurant uses are fantastic.

Great place to get authentic as it gets Mexican food. The burritos are massive, corn tortillas are always perfect on the tacos, and the beans and rice are almost as good as my girlfriends. The agua frescas are so delicious. They are all unique in there own way I cant decide what my favorite one is

Wow! Holy tacos! This small take and go establishment has the best tacos in the area. Its definitely worth the back road trip to this small store with and grocery, meat counter and restaurant.

Went to purchase meat to make at home and wont be going back ... Place was pretty dirty, a couple flies buzzing around... the bread was really hard and stale. They make pretty good looking tacos de asada there, and I say looking cause after looking inside the store I did not buy any. Walked out with a can of jumex and thats it.

My mother and I spent the day visiting local farm stands. We arrived at cross roads of Napier Ave we decided to head back to St Joe. As we turned to head home we stopped at La Perks for lunch,We had a great pork burrito. It also is a great little Mexican market.

Went into store with a friend who has plaque psoriasis and is a little heavier set. And the employees did nothing but point laugh and make fun and really hurt my friend. Luckily not just some mad dude that would punch somebody. I wanted to. I felt so disgusted. Que mala gente! Como uno puede bularse de un hombre que tiene enfermedad. Que horrible se ve. Estaba sorprendida! Que from portase asi. Nunca le Daria Dinero a genta tan asco! This place making fun of somebody with a disease is completely beyond me and I will never encourage any money spent here.Negative -100 stars for how they treated a human being like trash. Bad people. I was sad and surprised and utterly disgusted. Maybe dont make fun of ppl because you dont know who speaks Spanish or not. Gross. Or just dont make fun of ppl. They obviously dont like over weight Americans.

Street tacos are to die for.

We asked for 3 pounds of meat with not too much grease. The previous time they gave us mostly fat and very little meat. The person that attended us was very rude and said they don’t put cows on diet and we would get whatever was there. They gave us mostly fat and very little meat again, about 2lbs of fat and maybe 1 lbs worth of meat. We don’t plan on going back! They need to learn to treat customers with respect and give good quality! I can understand some fat in meat but what they gave me was too much plus they were rude about it!

Not a bad little Mexican store!! the takeout that they make is literally out of this world I love tacos and there tacos make me feel happy and beautiful, which is what everyones looking for so if youre hungry and need tacos or burrito or anything of that nature this is the place, they have a great selection of Mexican drinks chips all sorts of great snack things and they have a small but decent fresh vegetable selection, definitely love this place!

The customer service is bad, the ladies at the front seem unapproachable if you have questions. Prices arent clearly marked. The parking can be difficult especially in the summer. The food is a gamble, sometimes its really good but other times its burnt or they dont put enough meat in the tacos. The prices are ridiculous! I have called to ask for quotes on larger orders, and when I call back the next day to confirm the price has already gone up.

My boyfriend use to work for a company delivering drywall so he traveled around and he stumbled across this place. Today he finally took me and this place is the closest thing to my childhood. The smells the food the people. I loved it. Felt like I was in Mexicali.

Very good authentic food. Have had several burritos from both La Perla stores. Would recommend to anyone interested more in the FOOD, than the experience. Although Ive had good experiences at both stores.
