Had such a great experience at this Mavis location! I needed my tire replaced and since I only have 1 car, I knew I’d have to wait in-person for the work. The manager, Angel, was so helpful and attentive on the phone and offered me a time slot where he said he could assure me I’d be out within an hour. It was clear he shuffled things around to accommodate me, and recognized me as soon as a walked in! Also want to give a shout out to Harry, who is a real expert on cars and gave me all of the information and detailed explanations when I had reservations about the work. They really made me feel comfortable and it was clear they knew what they were talking about.

Awesome place, super trustworthy, awesome staff. They did everything they could to fit me into their schedule and have me drive out with new tires! Staff is amazing and super helpful, will be coming here from now on for all my cars needs.

Made my appointment and details of tire purchase and installation (including balancing etc. Quote given and I printed. When I arrived they couldnt find my reservation. After I gave them my confirmation # they told me it was cancelled that very moment. They never the less had the tires but I had to wait 2 hrs due to lack of reservation (are you kidding?) They messed up, NOT ME. Also price was significantly higher than my online quote. Its a gimmick. Dont trust MAVIS. THEY SHOULB BE CALLED (MAYBE)

Came in for new tires. Crazy busy since everyone goes here. Definitely call and make an appointment. Prepare to drop off your car or bring something to do while waiting a few hours.. They answered my questions and were helpful.

This place never fails to amaze me. The people here are always so helpful and they really try hard to make sure I leave happy. I would rather pay a little more and know that whatever job is done to my vehicle it’s guaranteed and if it still is a problem I know I can bring it back and they will fix it at no charge. Harold was so nice and all the guys there.

Top notch 10/10 service from everyone. The Manager was the best, the gentleman at the counter was extremely polite and helpful and the actual mechanic who fixed my issue was also patient and polite, and wow did he have to deal with a mess. Stripped lug nuts and post, bent hub, etc. Not to mention I was already a somewhat angry customer when I walked in since I had a problem in another shop. These guys listened very calmly and patiently to my issues and went above and beyond to make sure I walked out happy. All around great service and everything was fixed better than I expected.

Where do I begin? First of all, Javier is a friendly guy and I say this because the money I walked in I was greeted with a big smile and a great sense of humor… however when it came to my car’s repairs, he was serious and adamant about helping me out. They didn’t break me on the price of the struts I needed for my car. The main mechanic (I think his name is Deon, made sure to test drive the vehicle first to make sure it was in fact the issue that I came in with. I was scammed at another mechanic shop about my struts and Javier made sure I was made aware of every thing my car needed to have repaired and assured me my struts were indeed never repaired given the condition of the car. He went out of his way and that’s not really something you see often with mechanics especially nowadays… not to mention me being a woman with car trouble… I don’t write reviews all the time, but I felt the need to because they definitely made my day so much easier.

Oder the tire for car on Tuesday. They told me come in on Friday.When I went to the store on Friday, they did not work and they told me no tire and no appointment. Also, when they check they dont even have particular tire on the system. I ordered bridgestone turanza quiettrack 235/40r18 which is available in other places.On Saturday, someone call me and tell me they have my order.I am not sure what happen to there system but I was told they have no record of my order and appointment and they cant even get the tire which is not in the system. Now they are saying they have my order. It is too late, I purchase the tire from Costco last Friday afternoon.

I’m hearing about what you did to my friends Corolla, came in for just a ball joint and you guys managed to completely destroy the power steering pump and rack in the process. Myself and my friends will be leaving negative reviews until he gets his money back or the car is fixed properly with no cost to him.

I kept my appointment today at 2pm Monday as scheduled and confirmed by email and was told tires arent delivered until Tuesday, so they didnt have the tire. Complete waste of my time.

I made an appointment to change tires and they did not assist me.

I came in for tire repair, straight forward and simple, and asked for a quote to install brakes AND rotors, since they wont just change your brake pads if they determine your rotors are too worn, and still charge you...125.00 was the quote after he looked into the details for it as I waited; I agreed to the price as I was limited on time and my shop was 45 minutes away. Another guy walks in as the first one walks out and asked if I needed anything, I stated I just asked for a quote for the above and he quickly states 150.00 at which I reply, I was just told 125.00Shortly after Im brought to the back and they tell me that because of the design of the truck (07 Colorado) they were gonna have to charge me more... I reluctantly agree.Half hour later, the same guy comes again and shows me another issue, glossing over the fact that they burn/melted a hole into my brake bracket seen in the pic. Long story short, I am forced to buy a whole new brake caliper system to replace the bracket with a stuck guide; which requires that I take back the cores for both. At which he says, will have to bleed the brakes when you get back with the new one. I replied, of course, your changing brake pads... To which he says we have to change for that... So I tell him, your not getting any more money from me, so then dont bleed the brakes.Surprisingly, they didnt bleed the brakes putting me and others at hazard driving, they deny the hole they put into the bracket even though the slag was still hot enough to flare up as I picked at it to show them what they did, so they didnt even cover the cost of the part they melted, to which they admitted they used a torch on. AND before I wrote this, I checked my tire and sure enough, they only plugged it when I asked for a repair and was charged in the 20s for that Mr. Cow poopoo work. I dont even hearing a sorry at any point either. I came in at 12:30ish noon and left just after 5pm.

AVOID Mavis tire discount especially the Bergenfield location!! Yesterday I got 4 brand new tires installed. I selected the tires I wanted online which was approximately $539.92 and it included installation and tire balance. I made my appointment for 11am when I got there the mechanic mentioned it would take 3 hours for them to install my tires. Also, I asked the mechanic who was working behind the counter how much my total will be including tax he told me in total it should be $575.00 with tax. I left my car there which he said he would call me to let me know when my car is ready. He ended up calling me at 5pm it took them 6 hours to install four tires. In addition I added warranty on each tire for an additional $60.00 for 4 tires. My total when I went to check out came out to $684.90. They charged me for labor which was $75.96 which is installation and that was suppose to be included in the tire price. Today I decided to call their customer services to discuss the fact that I have been over charged. I spoke to two customer services representatives who didn’t help me at all just took my information and said their general manager would reach out to me but never did. Extremely disappointed in their services I rather go to a local mechanic then take my car to them again.

One of the best Mavis Discount Tires around. The guys at the counter Get It. They understand you need your car serviced properly at a fair price. With all the competition in the area and online they made me feel they wanted my business. They took my information over the phone when calling about tire replacement. They followed up with a phone call from a very pleasant person in the office. When I brought my car in for service they honored the price on the phone and didnt try to up sale me. The service writer Jonathan was helpful and answered all my questions. They inspected my car. Got the car into a service bay on time. This Mavis location in Bergenfield is busy mainly because the Manager and service writer provide good customer service. Car was serviced according to my write up and delivered back to me quickly. Five star rating for this Mavis.

As of now the review stands. It may change when they make good on a promise for the inconvenience.Worst experience. Im a well versed car guy. Worked on cars and in service my whole life.For one they try to up sell you everything. They say 3 hours turn around time. Dropped my car off at 830am. Called at 2pm. Was told car is on the lift give them an hour. Walk 20 mins there at 3. Now its 320. Car hasnt moved from the spot I parked in. Unbelievable. Lost 2 hours pay. Then they wanna act like they dont understand my frustration. Stay away. Pay a few bucks extra.

These are great guys. The Mavis store in Kingston NY did not fix my tire slow leak the previous day right, and these guys took my car in right away, and took care of me without charging me again. While I waited, I saw them replaced a windshield wiper for a lady very quickly without labor charge, and fixed a loose front light bulb for another lady quickly for free too. Highly recommended!

Excellent service! Called needing a special order run flat tire. They were able to get it and have it installed within a couple of hours. Every other shop in the area including the dealer couldnt get the tire till the next day. Staff went above and beyond. Great communication and customer service. Definitely coming back.

Avoid this place at all costs, un-experienced mechanics working for an hourly wage. Came in to get a simple plug in my brand new tire (ran over a nail) they told me the tire was completely un-fixable. I watched what seemed to be the manager struggle for about 25 mins trying to plug it and after getting frustrated he told me it was trash. I left on a spare went to the gas station near my house and they plugged it for me in about 10 mins. While all this was happening the car next to mine had clearly been jacked up wrong was a loud crack in the cars side skirt and the mechanics continued to say it was supposed to be that way as per type of car.

I made a call on Saturday and order my car tires. Then went to the store next day they are ready.Thank you Raja for giving me a call before the time.

Place is fine and does the job as u expect. My only gripe recently was that I made a reservation online to replace a couple of tires and at no point was I told to wait for a phone call to make sure my tires were there.So I get there and am told to wait for a call and that they should be there by the next day.I wait...no call. I decide to call and lo and behold the tires are there.From there I had no issues and staff is friendly so I hate giving a bad review but it was quite the annoyance.

The service was beyond bad I was waiting so long girl who was working over there was rude and not wearing her mask properly. The waiting area was so dirty and filthy like we are not in a pandemic situation right now. Please fix this because it’s a healthy meter for everyone.

Made an appointment for 2 tires. Called to change appointment. When confirming the change the next day, there was no record of it. Spoke to someone again to change appointment. Showed up for my appointment there was no record of my change. Picked up my car in the rain and in the dark. Did not see that my tailgate latch had been broken and hanging until the next day. Called and was told that it was broken when I brought it there - it was not. I had no problems opening the door when I had to get the spare and when, again, I had to place the busted tire in the back. They refuse to take ownership - my word against theirs. So buyer beware and check your car before driving off.

Excellent service

Wish I could give zero stars. I was told it would take 3 to 4 hours for a simple tire change. I called after 3.5 hours and was told it would be another 1.5 hours. I called later and they said 10 minutes. My wife shows up 20 minutes later and they hadnt even started on the car. The worst.

Went a couple days ago for a brake change, and the people are very customer friendly. If I’m not mistaken Jason was the manager in charge, very cool guy. Appreciate the great service done to my CRV.

Brought my car in on Dec. 2 to have wheel shield put on, check a tire for slow leak, see if I needed a wheel alignment. After 3hr wait I was told they didnt have a drill to put the shield that I provided on. They didnt check the alignment, said they filled the low tire. They didnt give me back the pins for the shield. When I came back to do it the pins could not be foundI purchased new ones that they paid for. shield was put on horribly. Not all the pins where used. I gave them another chance to do an alignment yesterday after leaving my car for 3 hrs here I am back today because the car is pulling to the right still like it was never done. And its been almost 2 hrs sitting here. Stay away they need competent management here.

Excellent customer service and on time and professional!

Do not come here. Simple as that. Brought my car in for an alignment, left worse than it was when I brought it in. Drove straight back and they told me that the car was perfect, nothing to worry about. Had to bring it to another location TWICE to undo everything that this location did (did not align properly and needlessly placed 13 ounces of wheel weights on one wheel). Save your time.

The new Manager that they put there is awesome. They did my brakes and struts and my car drives like a dream. I was there when a person was complaining that their brakes were squeaking. What they did not write is that it was new pads on used rotors. These guys are top notch and their price was very competitive.
