These guys are amazing! Almost everything l have needed for all myethnic cooking needs. Whether its Ethiopian, Thai, Japanese, Indian, or whatever, I can always getat least a good start and referrals to a source that willhave the rest ofwhat Im needing.

The owner cares about his store image and the quality of the merchandise he sells. He created a pleasant invironment for shopping the Indian goods.

Every time I come into Berkeley I have to stop at the Bombay Spice House. They have the best selection of Indian food ingredients. Just walking into the store with all the beautiful scents of spices is well worth the visit.

Love this place and the owners are so nice and knowledgeable. I hadnt gone throughout the pandemic because I work near the shop but wasnt going into work. I just went back after such a long time and they lit up when they recognized me and made me feel so welcomed and remembered!

You can find many of the products that you would find in a typical Indian store. The downside is that many of the Ayurvedic and hygiene products they sell are way overpriced and I know of other places that are more reasonably priced. The other main issue I have is they dont sell bulk spices, and there is another Indian store close by that does. Its not a bad place to go, just a little on the expensive side.

Great spot to find spices, chutneys, South Asian snacks, a variety of pickled products, and frozen Indian foods (Samosas, Pakoras, kebabs). There are also a few hard to find produce items available here including: guavas, bitter melon, okra and small eggplants. I rarely give 5 stars, but this place deserves it for the reasonable prices and the wonderful, kind, informative and helpful service.

Love the store. Slightly on the smaller side (compared with Milan International) but it was nice and neatly organised. Love they had so many organic options - good to see 24 Mantra brand :) I used to buy that in Bombay when I lived there.Good options of rice, pulses, ghee, herbs& spices, fresh veggies, chutneys, oils, sweets, cooking utensils and so much more! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We tried the basmati rice the next day and its lovely! Will be back soon :)

Great for all Indian grocery

Good selection of Indian items, ranging from food to puja items. Not that many choices for fresh produce and the frozen selection is relatively small, but what is there is ample. There is a good choice do snacks and sweets. There was a section for fresh samosas, but I dont see any. But if you need to get your daals, poha, masalas, and lijjat papad (the Punjabi masala wallah) then this place has you covered.

Generally good, but purchased a bottle of Mothers Mango Pickle Mild that, upon opening, tasted bad and the store will not permit an exchange.

Today I stopped by this place After remodeling their store looks great and off course high/good quality spices top of that excellent customer service. Bombay Spice House has all kind of Indian/Pakistani Spices and good frozen foods I highly recommend shopping at Bombay spices house.

Friendly staff in a clean place. Great for beginners in exploring Indian spices & cuisine. Helpfull staff. Parking in lot next door. Had stuff I could not get at revered Viks chaat market. There are some other markets nearby on University ave in Berkeley but I would recommend this one for those starting out learning to incorporate the Indian tastes into their cuisine.
