Located right in the Berkeley Marina, the Highline Kites mobile shop is a convenient place to buy your kite right next to some of the best windy kite spots in town. The owner Tom is super friendly and knows a lot about kites, and you can tell its his passion. I am a complete newbie to kiting but knew I wanted a quad-line kite since I saw it years ago from the Berkeley Kite Festival. When it wasnt too busy, Tom was kind enough to help show me how to set it up and get started. It looks like they had a range of kites ranging from beginner single lines all the way to the stunt quad line that I bought. After some time practicing and several kite crashes later, I finally was getting the hang of flying it with control. Highly recommend getting a kite from here!

Family oriented. My kids got lots of fun. Wind was strong we lost a kite😔. But it was fun!

He was very nice and explained for us how to use our kite. Also when we crashed and broke our kite he explained how we can fix it and even helped partially fix it for free.

Tom from highline kites is amazing! So much knowledge! He took his time to answer all my questions and give me tons of recomendation to get me set up. I picked a flying wings soul for a amazing deal and a hq jive for my gf. His shop has everything a kite flyer would want from kids kites to high end stunt kites. Had all the accessory I needed I even picked up some premium line and padded straps. We also picked up a tail for the kites so Im excited to try those out! 10 out of 10 would recommend to any one that is looking into getting kites!

You wont find anyone around more helpful or knowledgeable or easy to talk to when it comes to kites. And as a bonus, he sells at the same price or cheaper than what youll find online. Cant recommend him enough.

What a great place to visit and watch the sailboats in the bay or a kite or two flying in the wind.

This is a shop on wheels, in a truck to be exact. Its at the circle that ends Spinnaker Way most days, particularly weekends. Wide selection of kites from simple ones for toddlers to sophisticated four-string expert flyers. Very helpful owner. They also organize the annual Kite Festival that draws tens of thousands to the park.

Its beautiful and enjoyable experience for kids. However, prices for rides outrageously expensive. Each ride $10 for 2 min of fun. Rip off. Otherwise great experience.

The owner has made his mark at this site. Very knowledgeable, very friendly, just a great guy to get your kites from. Hes been here for over 20 years, best place to have a rolling office.

Shop on a truck right next to the Kite fields. You’ll never know when you need a replacement spar or string, and you’ll be so glad they are right there. I found these folks to be friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
