Finally a shop in Berkley that will fix your car at very reasonable prices and not try and get over on you ! If you need something fixed on your car or that check engine light has been on or just came on you need to give these guys a chance. I was super impressed with how fast and how knowledgeable their staff is. Not to mention any of the repairs they do carry a warranty ! I will be back if anything else happens !!

When you need a mechanic, the Motor City offers scads of options. Seriously, throw a rock along the Woodward Corridor and you can expect to hit a mechanic shop. That said, they arent all created equal and Alpha Automotive has become my standby -- and the name saved in my contacts -- for anything related to vehicle repairs.Located centrally on 12 Mile in the heart of Berkley, theyre conveniently next door to a Biggby coffee shop and have a large parking area. Dropoffs or service appointments are both possible, and they do their best to accommodate emergencies or speedy service. You dont get taken for a ride and the work is thorough and exhaustive. Ive saved money when the dealership pressed for one repair and Alpha identified the issue -- no $1,600 fix needed for a fresh pair of spark plugs and removing a faulty bag left by said dealership in the engine compartment. No, Im not kidding.They have worked wonders, diagnosing what sounded like a faulty serpentine belt (source: a Meijer bag trapped in the engine), an imperceptible horizontal crack in a line causing a rattling (had not been detected over 4-5 visits to the dealer as a source of noise), and performing general maintenance at very reasonable prices and in a timely fashion.I always get a clear explanation for what went wrong, visual examples or comparisons of old/new parts, and recommended service that doesnt add unnecessary bells and whistles. They really do a fine job of educating their customers and making recommendations based on your driving patterns and budget.Others Ive recommended Alpha to, including my sister-in-law, all have glowing comments about the great service, solid repairs, and excellent cost. Highly recommended all around as a mechanic, you wont go wrong trusting them.

Having Zack and Mark to work on my car was a blessing! I thought I got a discount card at a different shop, but they needed me to repair thousands of dollars before performing their service. Instead, I brought my car to Alpha for a second opinion. These guys at alpha are the most honest mechanics I have ever met, and it was a no-brainer to work with them! They quickly identified which specific part that needs to be replaced and did that within a day, instead of replacing multiple assemblies the other shop wanted to do. Zach and Mark are incredibly skilled and charge a very reasonable price! As a new customer I got a discount, but they don’t discount the quality of their work. (I was a little unsure because they only had 10 reviews, but they just moved here and I know they are the best shop in this area by far!)

Zach did a great job with replacing my tires. He was able to get me in day of and get the job done in a few hours! They were professional and provided great service and information! Would Reccomend.

This place replaced my door handle on my car, in which I thought there was no hope for it. They replaced my door handle & its working perfectly, and I didnt have to wait long for my car. (THANKS GUYS)

Zack at Alpha Auto was extremely professional and provided great service. I have an older Jeep Wrangler that has issues more often than I’d like and I took it to Alpha Auto for the first time and it is now my go to place! Also they have done an amazing job renovating and have spruced up there corner of Oakshire and 12.

Honesty to the max. My girlfriend took her Honda to a dealer for brake squeal and was given a list of needed repairs totaling close to $1,000.00. I took the car to Alpha Automotive and after the inspection, Tim Siterlet, the owner, called me and said the brakes were like new and there was nothing wrong with the car and didnt even come close to requiring anything on the dealership work order. He cleaned the brakes up, eliminated the squeal, gave the car back to us and didnt charge a dime. I have been taking my cars to Tim for years and nobody beats his rates.
