This place is a berwyn gem and the waitstaff here is super so tip your waiters! The last time I stepped in this place I was 18 about to purchase my first cigar the experience was the best being able to purchase tobacco!Now I was recently informed that they now serve food and have a huge outside patio so we came to check it out since I no longer live around the neighborhood. Me and 3 other guests had the wing plate and shared ribtips let me tell ya that the wings were HOT FRESH WELL SEASONED! The sauces they have about 4 different ones to try I tried them all they were super flavorful the riptips were so delicious mouth watering nice fatty chunk of meat on the bone with the signature bbq sauce was delicious. If your around the area you should try the wings and ribtips, I was unable to check what else they had on the menu but I will be back for the wings and ribtips again they are a hit for me.

If you want delicious wings and you want them done right, you go to Cigars and Cigars only. Every other establishment has been subpar to my pallet since I bit into these wings years ago. The food is hot. The food is fresh. The food is absolutely delish. Everything on that damn menu is amazing. Not one complaint or suggestion.

Love this place!! The character this place has is awesome and super casual. Great place to get good BBQ, stogies, and a lounge to enjoy those stogies. Prices were incredibly reasonable. There were three very hungry guys in our group and we left stuffed with a few beers in our bellies to boot for under $100. Shout out to Nikki (hope that is spelled right!) our server. She was super friendly and was very attentive to all of her tables. Even going out of her way to move a couple to a table where they could see the TV better without even being asked by them. I wish I had a place like this in Minnesota!

We were greeted when we walked in the door. I believe our servers name was Laura. She made us feel very welcomed and helped us without order. (Coincidentally it was her birthday that day. The owner was pretty cool too.) Great smoked wings ever! So good, I placed an extra order to go. Wouldnt recommend dining in for kids. But I do recommend takeout for kids. Well be going back again for sure.

We go quite often. The Owner is always welcoming along with the staff. The wings are delicious and for me the rib tips are good. Perhaps Im just not a rib tip fan..the corn salsa side and beans are a must and be sure to try the different sauces. We will be back

Great atmosphere, think old school vibe, but friendly. We had great service for food and drinks (3 of us). The patio was nice and warm even though it was a cooler day. Great beer menu. Some of the food menu items were a little out there, but I enjoyed them. This is a bro place for sure. Go with your friends to hang or have a bite and a drink.

Cigars and Stripes is a small bar in Berwyn that does great BBQ food, has a good selection of craft beers, and sells cigars and their own brand of fiery hot sauces. I have been visiting this place for over 20 years, and love it and its ubiquitous owner, Ronn.

Whats not to like? Cigars, Cold Beer and Smoked BBQ. Grab a seat at the bar and be treated like royalty. Care Free joint to relax and kick back. Seat and serve yourself if avoiding the bar. Nightly events, big screens and an outdoor, heated cigar/beer garden. Wings and rib tips are the bomb! Heat up the night and taste buds with the 2X, 4X or Super Hot homebrewed sauces. Try your luck at the gaming. Highly recommended stop on Route 66.

Great wings and rip tip tacos

Stopped in for a quick bite, very good! Had the Tijuana hot dog, comes with bacon and salsa, very tasty and also a roasted pepper. The selection of sauces is very good, from sweet to spicy. Great atmosphere, and friendly staff! Will definitely be back!!

This is my go to local bar. They have a great food menu as well as a many different beers to choose from. But what really makes this place special is the friendly staff, ownership and the different events they host every night that makes you keep coming back for more. Sunday Night Zombie Bingo is the best time you will ever have playing bingo!!!

The meat was cooked really well but the 2 sauces I had were not good and the sides were terrible! Raw potatoes in flavorless potato salad and the beans were almost raw too and smothered in bad sauce. The smoked wings and tips were great, but I threw away the sauce and sides. Oh...and the sides (even if inedible) were tiny, and no fries! Not a great experience.2/8/21 update from 2/6/21 Original Post (ABOVE): The fact that the owner felt the need to respond to a genuine review is telling about this institution. I in no way intended to kill a dream and mentioned first and foremost that the meat was prepared excellent. I gave a review on the sauce, I didnt like it, my opinion.The AWFUL raw potatoes in the potato salad you should be ashamed of and the rock hard beans were insult to injury. Spend less time responding to honest critique and try to learn how to boil beans and potatoes.

They have yummy rib tip, wing, and lets not forget the Tijuana hot dogs! If youre slightly parched they have a great selection of beers and a delicious Bloody Marys. Events you must attend at Cigars are the Annual Route 66 Car Show and the Halloween events. Definitely check it out and enjoy!

Best wings ever. Period. Order a beer, there are always great choices on draft and in cans--like Delirium Tremens-- and do yourself a favor an order the grilled wings. They are perfectly dry seasoned, and then you get your choice of barbecue sauce! Sit at the bar if you can!

Pop in any day of the week youll find something new, from weird movies to wrestling to live music! Make sure to go with an empty stomach because the food is the best Ive had in any bar. The wings will have you flying, but the 666 death sauce will definitely bring you back down to earth.Unfortunately, there is not a lot of space, so try to anticipate crowding.A definite YES! Beef sandwich (Tuesdays only) is excellent. Service is slow (due to covid) but worth the wait. Rib tips are very good!

Only 2 or 3 things on the menu. I didn’t see any of the food shown on reviews or pictures. Maybe I just went on a bad day? Bartender was very nice and pleasant. I would call in advance if you are looking for particular items to see what’s available. If you are sensitive to cigar smell while eating carry out will be your best option.

Great cozy bar. Good food. I give them a big credit - there is only one TV and a classical move was on that TV. You may guess, watching TV is not my favorite thing when I go out. Talking with interesting people and eating good food is much higher on list of my priorities. This place delivers on that. Kudos.

Last week was the first time we came to that magnificent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the good service, with the great food and booze and with the modest payment. We will absolutely go back there in a short time.

Great wings! Give the 666 sauce a try, but only try a little. Its not a long lasting spicy, but its extremely spicy. I ended up mixing it with the habanero sauce and later a little bit of ranch and it was DELICIOUS. Also, the potato salad as a side was pretty good too.

This is the only restaurant Ive been that offers amazing foods, quick customer service and wide menu list. Five star unconditional rating!

Very cool campy place with a lot of schitck but thats the appeal of it. Ronnie the owner is a real showman and knows how to entertain a crowd. Highly suggest trying the wings theyre smoked which seals in the flavor. And flavorful they are for sure. Nice selection of tap beers to wash them down. If youre in the area stop in for a good time.

Reasonable choice of cigars. Its nice that the cigars are available as long as the bar is open. Which is always at least 1am. Good food also. A bit small in space however. But certainly worth the trip.

From the beginning, Cigars & Stripes has always just been Ronnie sharing his life with friends and the general public. From way back in the day when he managed wrestlers (before wrestling was even cool), to mastering the art of old school hand pin-striping in the back of the original Cigars garage - Ronnie shared his private stashes of quality cigars and fantastic hot sauces, before hot sauces were even popular (think late 1980s).Ronnies vision (as I saw it) was home, the home he opened his doors to for friends to come by and hang out, which there was always something cool going on - something usually out of the ordinary that you bragged about weeks later.. I was a day one kind of customer, the kind that sat on a milk crate at the old store watching tv and trying some of the original HOT hot sauces, while Ronnie pinstriped a car in the back, it was BYOB because it wasnt a bar yet, but that came soon with the purchase of the current building.What Ronnie put together is an extension of himself. Cigars & Stripes has to be the friendliest place around (just like Ronnie), and the food he serves there is quality. You go there because you know what you are getting - and you know its going to be damn good. Ronnie likes to turn people on to brews he finds that are outstanding - but yet he keeps the regular suds on hand to keep the people satisfied.Lets talk hot sauces and cigars. You will be hard pressed to find a better selection locally, of what you want. His stock is always fresh and well maintained, and anyone saying otherwise is just being utterly critical.Also worth mentioning because someone called the establishment racist, BULLSH*T- AND I MEAN BULLSH*T ! My family is Hispanic and has always been treated with respect when they have frequented here as I have seen many customers of many colors that patronize the bar. So whoever said that - you should seek professional help, you need it.Wrapping up this long winded review - I moved out of the area years ago, but when I find myself back visiting in Berwyn - Cigars is always a place I look forward to visiting and you should want to also, its that good of a place.

Love going here for the smoked food and draft beer...when they have it. Its a hit or miss what they will have available. Last 3 times Ive been in they were out of almost every item on the menu, and draft beer selection was slim no none. Dont know what is going on with this, management or suppliers but I can tell its having an impact on business. I would like to continue to go here because the food and beer is just that good, but dont like having to go somewhere else to eat once I get there. I will add the staff are very polite and do everything in there power to make things right.

Love this place! The owner is a super nice guy and keeps the atmosphere as creepy as possible. Dark, if you like that sort of thing and shows horror films many nights of the week, live shows too. Svengoolie would feel right at home here as I do.

Wings were delicious (grilled). They only come in one flavor, but they give you 4 different bottles of sauces. Tons of options on tap as far as beer, and even more in bottles and cans. Service is great. Trivia night on Thursdays at 7pm! I went in around 530 and they were playing True Grit on large projected screen behind the bar. Nice set up! Definitely recommend it. I didnt give it 5 stars simply because they dont have fries. Fries are life!
