I have not had a bad visit yet in the 3 years Ive lived in Bethel. Its no Kroger or Costco and, yes, sometimes they run out of things but hey! Were in the bush! The employees are always friendly and knowledgeable.

I like to shop at Swansons plus they have madness sales every or every other Friday.

Decent selection of food and non food items. I understand this is Alaska but I feel that many of the non-perishable items are way too pricey.

I like the older feel the store has. They have a lot of things the AC main store doesnt have. Usually pretty great deals. They also carry my preferred cigarettes.

Not too bad. It was a lot better when I used to work there when we had an actual electronics and toys department and a furniture store across from it. There was a lot more clothing to choose from then. Ill be honest, it can use some work. A lot of work. The lights are still too dim, it makes the place look dirty, well it is pretty dirty. The bathroom is pretty gross, still. Upstairs is a bit depressing these days. Apart from the store looking a bit poorly, the produce selection is fair. They have decent sales every now and then and new items are nice to see. The deli department is actually pretty good. The bakery department isnt too bad, lots of people love the cake designs, though Im not quite as impressed these days. The hardware store is great, still looks the same as it always has. Besides the store and the parking lot being pretty bad; the staff are great and very friendly, most are very optimistic when you walk in, and they have great customer service. I have to admit, its a great place to shop at.

Swansons been around all my life in the YK Delta, Never worried about the prices or appearances, Everything will always be to your Quality

I like some of the finer offerings from the refrigerated section for desserts, produce, and side dishes, but the building is in dire need of upkeep.

Staff is helpful, friendly.

Not much variety in products and when you buy fruits and vegetables they dont seem fresh despite the date on them etc, etc.
