The first time I came she assisted me and I loved the products and I just went again yesterday and she was there again and was just as sweet and helpful as the first time. The salesperson Basia was very nice, the only problem in this store is when you ask a question about skin problem, they walk yiu through all the creams and serums and treatments they have in the store and make you board, so at the end you decide not to buy any. My recommendation is interducing 1 or 2 diffrent brand is completely enough for customer. Thank you

I feel so awful because I missed the window to give a Sephora survey review of my experience here, so I’m writing my review here.My experience at this store was basically a full consultation. I’m getting married next week and doing my own makeup because of COVID. Emely helped me pick out EVERYTHING I needed for that day and took time and consideration for everything from my skin type to the look I wanted to achieve. She walked through every step of the way with me and helped me even create the process in which to apply all the products I needed. A million Thank Yous to EMELY for helping me that day. You made an anxious bride feel more prepared for her big day!

The sales people in the store are very knowledgeable and offer great recommendations. They are on top of it even during covid-19. They make sure the place is clean and that you dont sample or get into the products without their help. I would definitely go back.

Everytime I go there I get the best service. And ifs not pushy sales its like gentle professional suggestions and sometimes personal knowledge. Pheobe is in there everytime I come here and she is just informative and very helpful. Seanelle is also very kind and helpful. GiGi checked me out today and she was nice as well. So overall a great experience. 👍🏾

This Sephora makes me feel so comfortable!!!! The workers are so nice and are always willing to help you. They put effort into helping the customers unlike other Sephora stores I’ve been to.It is further away from where I live but it is worth the drive!

This Sephora has a large perfume and cologne selection which is great. Most items are always in stock so restocking on what you need is a breeze.If youre looking for assistance on skincare or make up tutorials, be sure to have an appointment and dont always take their word for it on suggestions.I go to this location often and will most likely go back again to pick up what I need but anytime Im looking to add something to my skincare routine or just need help in general, no one is available or they are not knowledgeable enough to help. The turnover in associates is average, some Ive seen for awhile and others are new. All the awesome makeup artists and ones really knowledgeable about different skin types and brands have moved to other locations. Just beware when looked to revamp your look or skincare routine.

“Dalba” apparently an experienced Sephora beauty advisor is still unaware of various “skin tones palette”. Instead, her recommendations are simply based on your ethnicity- if you’re Asian like me, she would point you to a color that “looks the yellowest”. It was her exact words when she spread out 3 very different looking “yellow” colors on an acrylic plate, since testing is no longer allowed in Sephora due to COVID risks. I use “warm ivory” but she picked out Honey and Almond colors which looked off from the start. When I asked her why those colors, she simply answered because “they look the yellowest” with a smirk in her face. Next day, I informed one of the store managers of this incident, but she’d rather brush off the issue, saying she was “surprised it happened because that kind of thing never happens at this store” and that she knows the employee well. When you close your ears to your patrons and would rather blindly “protect” your colleagues, discrimination happens, right under your nose.I hope Sephora’s UPPER management chooses to listen to their customers and really evaluate and properly train their staff, merely hiring “diverse” staff is not the answer.

This is my favorite Sephora! They give good product advice and its a big and well lit store. Its probably the biggest sephora I have personally been to in my travels.If you spend a certain amount of money they will give you a free facial as well.

I have to agree with the the previous reviewers that customer service at this Sephora is inconsistent. From the times that I have frequented the store, I am either greeted at the front of the store or have zero encounters with the staff. Inventory is usually good so no significant complaints on that. On the brighter side, the store layout is easy to navigate through and the store as a whole is clean and pleasant.

It’s been a while since I got this horrible experience in this particular store. It was in May 2018.I scheduled my wedding make-up trial. Everything was fine, I talked to the woman (I believe Stefanie) what I want, we chose cosmetics. I asked her if I can book her for my wedding day since it is gonna be early ceremony at noon so I won’t have much time to explain other person what to do. She said that she’s available and booked an appointment - I got confirmation and everything.And this is the worst part: SHE DID NOT SHOW UP at work on my wedding day!!! Thankfully they found a replacement.. but I was already short on time with tears in my eyes. Also, she didn’t put all the cosmetics on the list during the trial!!!! The woman who was doing a make up on my wedding day did even better job (MUCH BETTER) and she really cared to help me. Anyway, nothing can take away my stress back then and the fact - I was late for my ceremony.LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY! I didn’t visit that store anymore.

Went there on a Monday and was getting ready to walk out because I had been waiting for help for 10 minutes. Had associates walk by me to help people that were walking in after me. Asked for help twice trying to match myself for the Fenty line. Sade came over and helped my mom and I. Thankfully, she was amazing! She matched me perfectly and helped me find a highlighter in another brand. I was definitely prepared to spend but provided the lack of initial service, I was too turned off to get more than the minimal of what I came for.

Horrible customer service. Was thrown to multiple different employees and spent 15 minutes trying to get someone to help me find a new foundation only to be told that I needed to wait 10-15 minutes to be assisted because they were “packed up” when the store was hardly busy, even with the holiday crowd. Left without purchasing anything and will definitely not be going back for any further makeup needs.

I would give this store a ZERO if I could. The store was empty (no customers) but none of the employees tried to help. I asked questions about products I was willing to buy (and actually spend a lot of money) but looked like no one was interested in selling anything or retaining a customer.

The sales associate at the skin care section, Phoebe or something, refused to give me a sample of a product she had just 5 minutes previously given someone else. It was the only sample I asked for, and she told me flat out that they dont give samples of that anymore because people were taking advantage...what?? Are you serious? Its a $90 skin care item that is harsh on the face. How is anyone supposed to buy that without trying it?? Rude and ridiculous.

Liz is rude and unprofessional. Showed up to get my makeup done for my birthday and was told they were overbooked. She had a “oh well” type attitude and did not even attempt to accommodate me. This is not how customers should be treated. I will take my business to MAC or ULTA.

I have never been to sephora store that I dislike it so much, the staff was less helpful than other stores, not as knowledgeable either, i was there to get few products, the girl that helped me was nice, but she didnt know much about products and i got some foundation swabs but she never completed my look or tried the products on me, I have always been used to going to sephora and getting such a great service this was not what I expected, on top of that they gave me wrong foundation shade what I asked for, which I just discovered today when I was about to apply it, and I am also traveling so now I have to go to another sephora store and exchange my products, so thanks for wasting my time, never going back to this location again, no wonder such low stars for this location now I see why!! !

Rudest employees ever. an employee was walking around aimlessly and i kindly asked “hi are u available to help or are u busy?” and she looked me dead in the eye and said “no im busy” and then walked away. LMAOO what?!!! this was one encounter, ive had others where the employees are also not interested in helping customers at all. unbelievable

I went to the Sephora store on Sunday ( 10/7/18), I am a frequent customer in this Sephora store, I have vip card, I am a professional makeup artist so I buy a lot, but I generally prefer other stores and not this one, but I will say why.. of all the 4 times I went to this store I was poorly attended by the 70% of the saleswomen who work in this store and treat the customers as if we were nothing (so it was with me and my friends).. Last Sunday in particular I was tempted to find the saleswoman who attended me very poorly being stupid with me because I would like to say her name here but I did not find her after I finished my purchase .. I always get my products by myself and I do not ask for help because I already know how it works, but I asked for help for that saleswoman who was next to me just to ask about the color of a pencil could have reposition the color in the stock of drawers, she told me roughly that I was not allowed to open a drawer (certainly because this is not my job, I hoped she would do it for me.) and she turned me over to the bills and left me talking to myself. Anyway.. are not all stupid salespeople like her, but they should be better prepared in terms of customer service and friendliness, because without the client the company does not survive. Thanks

This location has the worst customer service of any store ever. I called four different times and, all told, the phone rang over 60 times without an associate ever answering it. Finally, a call went to the store directors voice mail which was full so I couldnt leave a message. I called the malls management office who transferred me over and spoke to an associate who said that, even though Sephoras corporate headquarters had told me they had the item in stock, she said that they didnt and didnt know when they would be getting it in and then hung up the phone. I will never shop here again.

I love the Sephora at Pike n Rose in North Bethesda and the associates are much more helpful and knowledgeable go there if u want quality service!

The store was full of salespeople and still nobody came to ask if I needed help (which I did) or even say hello. Many of them were helping others but some were just standing and doing nothing. I tried to make an eye contact with some of them and ask for help but they completely ignored me. They helped other customers but not me. I know I wasnt looking my best (loose clothes, messy hair, barely any makeup) but that shouldnt affect to the service I get! After all I was actually going to buy a new foundation if someone only helped me to pick the right shade! I left after 15 minutes of circling around the store pissed off and without a foundation.

OMGsh! My daughter and I were having a conversation about Sephora and Ulta, neither are a great experience. However, Sephora is a place where the products are made available to test, right? But why do I feel like I am a thief when testing? I will say, the WORST, WORST, WORST is seeing Perfume Patrol/Profiler MAGGieE; I get that there are people who steal, but I do not, but as a perfume fanatic, I like that I can test. Maggie, is creepy and cold. My reluctance for coming in the store began a few years ago, and frankly seeing Maggie in there makes me turn the other way; it is how I discovered Ulta. While Ulta in Rockville is not the greatest experience, the selection is better and more wallet friendly, which makes shopping there tolerable... They suck as well with customer service, but Sephora Maggies presence is awful.

Dear Sephora Managers...PURGE & REBUILD YOUR STAFF.I typically never write reviews online, but I strongly believe that this has to be said: THIS SEPHORA HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED (and trust me...Ive been to many many Sephoras). The staff is extremely incompetent and mean-spirited. They do not understand how to speak to a customer and should not be employed.Just today, I encountered a rather b*tchy sales associate. I had entered the store with my younger sister hoping to return the Foreo Luna 2, as it irritated my skin. I was greeted at the door by this sales associate and simply asked her if i was able to return the product, even though I bought it in late June (the Foreo isnt a makeup product per se, so I just wanted to be sure and avoid the check-out line if I wasnt able to return the product). She was accommodating at first, but then surprised me when she ended our conversation with a very sarcastic, Thank you for telling me. Even my little sister caught on and told me that she wasnt being sincere. I brushed it off and went to stand in line. But when it was my turn, the cashier treated me with complete disregard and acted like she didnt want to be there. I have worked in customer service many times (from the food industry to the fashion/retail industry) and have never even thought about acting in this manner in front of customers. I understand that returns in general hurt the stores statistics, BUT the nature of the Sephora brand is to allow the consumer to try-out the products offered without the fear of wasting money when a product doesnt meet their needs. There is literally no reason to be insulting.The only reason why this store hasnt been shut down is that it is the only Sephora within the Potomac area that is conveniently located. I refuse to continue to be treated like an inconvenience and will be actively avoiding shopping at this branch.

Its upsetting that I even have to write this review on social media, however that is how disappointed I am with this store location. I went into this store on July 29th, 2017 around 4pm. I was approached by a store associate named Seanelle. She asked me if I needed any help with anything, and I told her I wanted to talk to someone about the Tatcha products, as I am interested in purchasing a few things, and even sampling some products from them as well.. She looked at me and said, so, you want samples too I said yes, and I also want to speak to someone about the products they have, as I already have a few items from this line. She said hold Ill be back, another associate named Stefanie walked by me and asked me if I needed help this was about 6 minutes after Seanelle left me.. I said someone was helping me, then another 6 minutes went by and Seanelle was no where in site, but Stefanie came by again, and had a confused looked to why I was just standing in the middle of the store, and and asked me again did I need help and did anyone come help me.. I said no, Ive been waiting for about 15 min and the young lady never came by. At this point I was frustrated, and disappointed in how Seanelle left me hanging. Stefanie helped me, a little but I was pressed for time at this point, and needed to go. Not only did @sephorabethesdamontgomery lose a sell, I ended up ordering Tatcha products from their website, and QVC! I asked Stefanie for Seanelle name as we both seen her walking around talking to other associates and one customer, she gave me her name, and hers as well. Seanelle even looked at me when Stefanie was talking to me, not once did she come say I am sorry for keeping you waiting or let me know what was going on. This one action, because it only takes one has turned me off completely to this store and Sephora in general. I called Monday on 7/31 to file a complaint, and was told someone would get back to me within 10 business days. Today makes the 10th business day, and I called to follow up, and my complaint was not even entered correctly, so I had to refile it. I am utterly disappointed in the customer service here, as I thrive on customer service when I shop at places.

Every single time I come into this location, the staff is unpleasant to work with. They dont care about taking the time to address your beauty/skincare needs. They try to find other people to help, but even those employees have an attitude and dont properly help. Ive been a VIB for years, visiting stores all over the nation. This one is BY FAR the WORST one Ive ever gone to.A specific example of how HORRIBLE and incompetent their employees are at this location -- I was curious about the GlamGlow NudeGlow moisturizer, if I should be using that over a different one. I didnt know what type of skin that moisturizer would be good for or if I should try something else. The employee literally said VERBATIM well you know your skin better than anyone else. This is a moisturizer. You should know if youll break out from this, when I CLEARLY had never used that one before. Every brand and moisturizer has different ingredients in it. I tried to ask other questions about the product, but her best response was its a moisturizer. It does what moisturizers do.Another time I had waited FIFTEEN MINUTES before someone even acknowledged me - I was trying to ask a fragrance question, and the employees were quick to help other people without even noticing Id been standing there looking clueless. The employees response when I brought this up was well we are very busy as you can see.Because of this location - I go to Ulta down the road for my beauty needs. I only come here if theres no way I can get it from Ulta and cant make the drive to a further location (which Ive done to avoid this one).This location is a DISGRACE to the name of the company, and these employees do a terrible job representing the brand that Sephora clearly strives to present to its audience.

Me and my daughter went in to buy a few products, during that time we decided to go and try on perfume, the saleswoman was very rude, as she gave me another sample she her voice was very aggressive, THIS IS YOUR LAST ONE, I wasnt aware that you could only have three samples, so I asked another employee, during that time she was giving my daughter three samples and said, oh I gave you an extra one, I was glad that it was my daughter and not someone else because she was trying to upset me, she was very disrespectful and if she thinks that I was begging for a SAMPLE then she has to be nuts and zookie crazeeeeeee!!

Unfortunate experience. Enter this business today. I think there were 5 women, and all, all converging with each other. Making up and having each other, as if they were at a party. There was my husband, me and another client, that we didnt exist literally.They pay very little in that business? Does your staff receive any training?
