Ordered souvlaki over a Greek salad. Chicken was so dry it was inedible. Dressing was too much vinegar. βGreek saladβ consisted of iceberg lettuce, very little thin sliced tomato, a little cucumber and small chunks of feta. One wilted stuffed grape leaf was the highlight. No color or flavor. No red cabbage or carrots, scarce green pepper no red onion, very boring and tasteless.How I miss a traditional Greek Diner!

Great service but terrible food. Paninis were just poorly thrown together and put on pitas. Not a panini at all and definitely not worth what they charge. The Munchie Sampler was a greasy messy slab off very old deep fried food thrown on wet lettuce. You can tell the soda machines havent been cleaned in a while. This was my second and last time giving this place a try.
The parking lot outside looked full, but there were spaces left and upon entering there was a quiet air of efficient service. This was my first visit and would return if in the area and hungry. Standard selection, reasonable pricing.
On a special date night, my wife and I dined at Embassy Diner. This diner was one of the few eateries operating, but we were greeted warmly and promptly seated. It was quite busy, and the servers were putting in long hours. Our server delivered our beverages and took our order immediately. My wife had the clam linguine, which she absolutely loved!! I had the cheeseburger deluxe and was equally pleased.
Everything was good. I ordered a turkey burger with sweet potato fried and it was amazing. Great staff.
Food was very good large portions. Excellent service. But if you pay with a credit card theres an additional charger for its use.
Best Waiters and Staff Ive ever had the experience to dine with. All the servers make you feel at home (especially a Mr.Drosos & a Guillermo who are great at what they do) and the food is served quick and with much attention.
I would prefer that their water was filtered. Normally drinking water from a bottle itβs easy to tell if the water being served is tap. Now to some this may sound picky but the taste to me is simply nasty. I can taste it in their diet coke as well. I had soup before my meal, no issues with that as far as taste but you have to figure the water is not filtered. Come on guys. Get with the times and filter your water!
My husband dined at Embassy Diner on Thanksgiving. This diner was one of the very few restaurants open but we were pleasantly greeted and seated immediately. It was very busy and the servers were working hard. Our server quickly got us our drinks and took our order. My husband ordered the Turkey special and was thrilled with it!! I got the cheeseburger deluxe and was very happy as well. My burger was cooked just as ordered, was served with delicious onion rings and coleslaw and the food came out fast! The check was delivered promptly and our server was amazing. Atmosphere was very pretty, lots of holiday decorations up. The ladies restroom was clean and well supplied. Was a wonderful dining experience and I look forward to returning for lunch or dinner.

Quick food ok dining experience poor. The waiters are great the owner is the worst person to own this type of place. Zero personality the place is dirty and I am sure he is nasty to the staff. I have been going to this diner for 25 years and the owner has never said one word to anyone in my family. We have relationships with the staff that keeps us coming back. Plus its steps from my home so we go for the convenience. any place is better then this place. I dont hate it, but the thought of going here is not pleasant. every diner is better then this one.
Had an open face Roast Beef with A-1 Sauce, delicious Only thing AC could have been better it was cool in back of diner!! Sit in the back much cooler than the front, AC is not equal must be 2 different units cooling!

Peace of burger bun had mold and they try the hide with toast it.And fork was dirty .Thus place use to be realy good .
My first time here was a very good experience. I had the prime rib with mashed potatoes and corn and it delicious. Wifey had the cheeseburger deluxe that was also very good.

The coffee and service were very good, however the owner should check the dishes coming out of the kitchen. The home fries were burnt beyond recognition, the waffle was mushy and they are not consistent with their policy of no tips on a charge card. I knew that they werent the best and had stopped going there years ago, but we were hungry and in a hurry, so I guess hopefully this is my last time there. Sorry owner, you dont pay attention to detail.

This has been my familyβs favorite diner since before I was born! They have the best pickles, which tells you itβs a legit establishment πI love getting their grilled cheese and fries and dipping everything in their brown gravy! Best comfort food ever.

Chicken souvlaki was delicious, minus the bone in one of the chicken chunks. I was a bit surprised a side of mashed potatoes cost $7.50, which I think was a lot for what tasted like box made mashed potatoes w a little cheese on top. Staff was attentive & friendly. Restaurant was clean.. Not too happy about the credit card surcharge either.

Terrible terrible terrible. If I could give them a zero star rating I would! Not only the food but the bathroom is disgraceful I actually found mold in there, how do I know you ask? Im allergic to any mold and broke out in hives instantly and felt super sick leaving the dinner. I uploaded the picture of the mold and honestly was so disgusted with the rest it wasnt worth putting those pictures on blast. If their bathrooms are disgusting and the customers can see them imagine what the kitchen looks like!!!!!Oh and they only want their tips in cash as well, so if you dont have any cash on you, youll have to get money out of their onsite ATM. Does anyone else think this is ridiculous?SOMEONE CALL GORDON RAMSEY to clean that grime filled dinner.

My review is solely based on the quality of the food. Had an egg salad, dont believe the lettuce was rinsed. May have been dirty. Either that or I had the wrong part of the lettuce in my sandwich. Coleslaw tasted a bit off as well. Other than that i had no issues.

Its tough to talk about Embassy Diner because of the COVID-19 crisis and because I wasnt sure what Nassau County/New York State laws required of the diner. All of this notwithstanding, the diner failed to properly communicate with us on our visit.I came in with a group of coworkers. We had just gotten off of an overnight shift. We wanted to do breakfast together and though I had found two other area breakfast spots (with outdoor dining to boot), the leaders of our gang insisted on this place, noting that they served alcohol after 8 am. Apparently, the night-shifters often met at this place after-work (I was the new guy and didnt know about it until that morning). So we all set off in our convoy of cars.The first of us to arrive (at around 07:45) asked about the drinks (e.g. mimosas etc.) early on and didnt really receive an answer from the hostess/management. Our server took our meal orders, then came back and took our drink orders. Moments later he came back and said that unfortunately we could not have drinks at that time. It is a big deal in the grand scheme of things no, but it seemed like we were duped into ordering food and committing to eating it before we were actually given an answer on the drinks and that left a bad taste in everyones mouth, so-to-speak.Our food came out relatively quickly though we had to wait on the last plate (etiquette dictates that you wait until everyone has received their dish). The location of the diner is also convenient. Our server initially had their mask below his nose but he pulled it up in time for us not to react and ask him to pull it up. In another oddity, I paid for the entire groups bill (to avoid him having to sort out multiple cards) and he asked aloud what tip I wanted to put on the bill. If anything, usually you add whatever tip you wish to provide on the paper merchant copy of the bill after your card is charged the base price. It was such an awkward moment. There isnt much else to tell here.Bottom line: This place requires you to take the risk of indoor dining (no outdoor dining) and then seems to play a little bit of a game as far as capturing your business. So buyer beware. Its probably not worth it.
Joined a friend for lunch. I had the chicken Cesar salad. She enjoyed waffles breakfast. Service was good. Food was good Dinner food. Place was packed! I guess everyone lives coming here.

For a typical diner, this place has really good food. Ive tried a variety of items here and Ive been pleased every time. Like most diners as of late, however, the prices are rather high. It is for this reason, I gave it only 4 stars. I honestly dont think any diner is worth the prices they charge. Other than that, its great!
Stopped for Sunday lunch out of convenience while heading to do some shopping, not over crowded, yet service was less than impressive. Waiter checked on us once during the meal. Wanted a refill on beverage, was out of luck. My girlfriend ordered eggs with potatoes, potatoes were raw; advised the waiter and showed him uneaten potatoes and received a less than enthusiastic response. Line to pay at the counter was 7 deep with people trying to pay with cards, luckily I had cash and was able to skip the line. There are a lot of Diners out there that are much better; Im putting this one on the pay no mind list.

Great spot quality good tasting food
Food was good, but not worth the additional 3.5% surcharge that credit card customers have to pay on top of cost of their meal and of course a tip for service. There are plenty of other diners that are as good or better without the extra charge.
