I was recommended by my culinary instructor to visit Yoshihiros and I was very satisfied. I had used her knife before and really wanted a similar one of my own. The guy helping with the sale was very honest, knowledgeable, and was straight forward. We came just before closing and he helped us finish the sale and ship the knife home, saving us money and time. And to top it all off, the price was great too!

Perfect place to get that special you need for you at home or work. My husband bought a beautiful high carbon steel knife. Worth it. The person that assisted us was very kind and knowledgeable. Sharpening services are reasonable. They can also change the handle of your Japanese knife to your liking.

Walked in to take a quick look as I was in the area last xmas. But had to call # on the door as no one was there. Walked out with a VG10 16 layer Damascus nakiri & hi soft board. Didnt even know what a hisoft board was until walking in here. Bruce helped me out. Was nice to me, not sure about the negative experiences here. Only suggestion is if you are in a rush, call first before you head over.

Ive been looking for a next level set of kitchen cutlery for a few months and Ive been disappointed with a couple of popular selling products. I saw a review that said the Yoshihiro petty knife was one of the best and so far under initial inspection theyre right. So I wasnt very far from their showroom and decided to pay a visit. If you love knives and dont mind paying a decent price then you might want to take a look. I walked in and brought a couple, I wont know for sure for a few weeks, but it looks good so far.

Great customer service and was delivered extremely quick. Everything from the packaging to the knife it self was a piece of art. I thoroughly have enjoyed using my knife from sushi to vegetables to different meats. This blade is extremely sharp and has given me a new level of precision in the kitchen.

The best knives that you can get in North America. Bruce assisted us. He was very knowledgeable when recommending a knife and explaining its qualities such as the type of steel, style of knife. He also possessed great knowledge of their cutting boards. Whether in America or Japan, you simply cannot find better knives. The stars are totally for the efficiency of their work! It totally impressed me! I ordered 5 knives with gift wraps and customized carving with letters online through their website on Wednesday afternoon (Toronto/Canada Time). They gave me a call to confirm the order the very night to confirm. Then I got a notice the next day(Thursday) that my orders were already shipped- which means they completed the carving and the gift wrap the day I ordered right after they called! And guess what, I received the package Friday morning just now! I cant even believe it! Knowing that it was international shipping and needs to get through custom clearance, I was expecting the package to arrive next Thursday! But everything just surprised me! I havent open the knives yet cause they were wrapped, but I can see the wrapping were nice. Very looking forward to see how the knives look like with the carving when my husband opens them!

Since I was getting a carbon knife, the sells man was kind enough to warn me that carbon knives are not easy to maintain are best for professionals and those experienced with carbon knives.They were able to get me a fitted saya as we finished our transaction. Very helpful staff, the one thing is that this place is not manned full time, you need to call them to open up the show room. That makes a quick browse a little more challenging.
