The presentation helped me understand the process of moving traditional IRA assets to physical metal stored in a depository. I now understand the steps required, the timing for everything, and the fees for the most part. The only thing is I still dont really understand how they get paid if they dont charge transaction fees. They said they get paid by the US mint.

My experience began with a video presentation that was very informative without being a pushy high pressure sales pitch. The presentation highlighted the need to invest in precious metals, e.g., inflation, stock market fluctuations and the current state of the economy. I then reviewed several other Precious Metals IRA companies at the BBB. Other companies had as many as 8 consumer complaints. The complaints were, however, resolved which helped the companies maintain an A+ rating. Augusta Precious Metals had no complaints registered at the BBB. Following my research I opened a Precious Metals IRA with Augusta.

When I was initially contacted by Kevin Martin about purchasing precious metals I was very apprehensive about having to listen to a high pressure sales pitch and webinar. Through Kevins persistence he convinced me to participate in a web conference with precious metal analyst Devlyn Steele. If you dont know of Mr. Steele I can assure you he does a great job in explaining the current economic scenario and has the ability in layman terms to explain the benefit there would be in having a portion of your assets invested in precious metal. The session was not only informative, but educational as well, without the pressure many of us have experienced when someone has tried to sell us various goods and services in the past. Well worth the invested time.

They explained their process of of converting an existing stock market based IRA to precious metals IRA to include all associated setup and maintenance costs. All representative were very professional and knowledgeable, answering all of my questions in real time during the conference.

The presentation was fine but when it was over I offered to buy $10,000,00 worth of gold AT A TIME from them because the price of gold is constantly changing BUT the less than adequate intelligent operators of the company refused to take my order unless it was $25,000,00 or more. Was that really the smartest thing they could have done for their business. I could have purchased $100,000.00 in gold from them but I just wanted to buy it $10,000.00 at a time. Had they accommodated me I would have now had an account with them and could continue making purchases. If I had done it their way I would have paid almost $1800.00 per oz for the gold (which includes their markup over spot) because the price was higher at the time. In that case I would have had $25,000.00 in gold that cost $1800.00 an oz instead of 10k 10k and 10k with the second and third purchase costing about $50 .00 less per ounce.
