My favorite bar is one where I can say, Id like to try (barrel aged gin), and I like (bitter drinks,) then the bartender proceeds to introduce me to a new cocktail, ideally an exceptional one Id never bother to make at home. Leanna did this superbly. Love this spot.

Looks like a great place and I am sure the gin is pretty good (havent tried it). I had originally walked into the building (also shared by Banded Brewing) to pick up a four pack of beer from banded (it was my first time inside this building) and I took a hard right as soon as I went through the doors and accidently walked into this place (round turn distilling or maybe wrong turn?). It looked really nice and quickly realized I am in the wrong place and apologized and went to Banded to pick up my four pack. After picking up my four pack I really was interested in the gin and the shop so I went in; however, the worker at the time seemed a bit preoccupied with his cell phone. Also, the music was loud and communication was hard especially with masks now. I wanted to learn more about the gin and really understand some background information about the distillery. I was prepared to buy a bottle of it and try it as I love supporting local businesses. Well - the person who was working quickly described what it was (over the loud music + wearing masks + doesnt seem like he really cares = whatever) and wasnt much help. It actually was kind of unfortunate as my experiences with going into locally-owned places, people seem enthusiastic/passionate/knowledgeable. Well this wasnt the case. See at banded horn I was greeted immediately at the door with a person who had a mask on, but I still saw the smile through the mask. Very attentive and responsive when I asked about my order. Hopefully the owners of Round Turn Distilling can turn this around and help both the business and the employee. Really did seem like a great place.

I am not usually into cocktails, but i love a good gin. round turn is pure alchemy. so much yum. loved the spice island. wish they did a brunch
