There employees were amazing! So nice and took care of me to the best of their ability. The only downside was that most of the boots I wanted in my size were out of stock so my selection was a little limited so Id recommend maybe browsing trying on some pairs and coming back when they get their next shipment in if you can.

Thought these were professional leatherworkers. I have an ammo belt that was my fathers who passed away when I was young, he had bigger hips than me so had talked with my fiance for a couple years about getting it trimmed down and resized so I could actually wear it. Well she wanted to surprise me for my birthday by getting it resized for me and decided to take it here since I had talked about buying boots and such from here on multiple occasions. She went in and stressed the sentimental value of this belt saying if they couldnt do it right then please dont chop it up, which they reassured her they were professional leatherworkers. So what happened? They did a 10 minute hack job on a priceless belt to me and it looks absolutely awful. Was a bit heartbroken when she showed it to me because I could have done a better job with a box cutter myself. Completely uneven and even cut the belt too thin so it cant even really be fixed. This is the only place Ive bought work boots from for the last 5 years and Ill tell you after seeing their handy work I will never do business here again.

Ok, so I was referred here by someone who mentioned this store often had larger sizes for boots for men, and there were always some in the discounted area downstairs. This was of interest to me because I was looking for a pair for a teenage boy who had been recently placed in foster care and his only pair of shoes was a pair of boots that were duct taped together, and he wears a size 13. I called first to see if what I was told was remotely true. The woman who answered the phone told me it was not at all true and the lowest priced boots in that size were about $200. I never actually went because on one hand this was well out of my price range to help this kid, and on the other hand, the woman was a bit rude and came across as not wanting to be bothered with speaking to anyone.

No matter when you go there, it seems as though everyone goes above and beyond to help you out. True customer service.

As others have said...GREAT business, and GREAT employees! After having several Black Hills, South Dakota repair shops tell me there was no way to stitch the seam on a leather vest, or to re-attach the sole of a pair of Tony Lama work boots I tried Als Bootery while in Billings. Not only did they do a FANTASTIC job, they did it the same day! And they did it for a very reasonable price. In the future I will bring my business to Billings, MT and Als Bootery! This place is wonderful! I went in to see if my husbands boots were repairable, I really appreciated their honesty in telling me that it was more beneficial to just buy a new pair. They all were so friendly, and i am pleased to say my hubby absolutely loves his new boots! Thank you Kit for all of tour hard work!

This used to be the only place I bought boots but I havent been back in a couple years. This year I tried again and Im glad to say that customer service is back on par.

Bought my 5th pair of boots today from als bootery, always friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selection, I wont shop any other place.

Asked for my shoes cleaned and shined and they were only shined so I took them back and they fixed it the mistake. I work at a coffee shop and there was spilled milk and syrup on my shoes and I found it strange that they would polish my shoes, leaving sticky stuff on it and not clean it first. Regardless they made it right and didnt charge for the cleaning. So I would definitely recomend and they stand behind their work.

I took a pair of Double H packers in to have the sole restitched. I was rather rudely told that their machine could not stitch these boots. I guess they can only repair thin soled shoes
