I have always heard horror stories about car buying experiences so I was pleasantly shocked and surprised how easy and upfront it was. I am well on my way to being a returning customer

I brought my vehicle in to get checked out. Dropped my car off around 9:30 on a Friday. Was told I would get a call back around 1-1:30 that same day. Never received a phone call so I had to call. Ended up going through Sunbit to help cover the cost of the service I needed to have done. I was told they had to order the part and would get a call when the part arrived.I call a week later and was told the part was never ordered. Put me on hold and ordered the part. I called back the following day to confirm if the part was ordered. Person that answered the phone said they couldn’t find me in the system. So they transferred me to parts. Parts department said they couldn’t find where anything had been ordered. So I was transferred to Mike the service manager. Mike said he would look into it and would call me back in 20 minutes. Never received a phone call. I called back and talked to a Shawn because Mike left for the day. Shawn then told me the part was on back order and I would receive a call when the part arrived.I called the following week and asked if the part had arrived. The part arrived the day before. So the moral of the story is don’t EVER expect them to call you. I am yet to even receive a receipt of install and purchase. Troy told me I would get everything emailed to me. I have not received anything as of yet.

The lack of communication from Kevin was very disappointing. I understand he is no longer there. I went to pick up my car and it was filthy. Never has that happened to me at any mechanic or body shop for any vehicle (in the 3 years I’ve owned this vehicle that is the dirtiest it has ever been). I would think after dropping $1800 they would at least wash my car. It had been there since mid June I got it back mid Aug (I live 8 plus hours away). I had to do a 4 point turn to get my car from its parking spot. Clearly this dealership doesn’t care about customer experience and only cares about making a buck.I am thankful my vehicle is repaired. There is a positive. They did send a shuttle driver to pick me up. That saved me an at least $20 Lyft. So that’s good. Review has been edited to leave out the words “with tax”.

The worst service Ive had in a long time. I was lied to and was told that a used car I was interested in was being kept in my name until I could make the trip from a few hours away. Drove all the way to Billings just to find out they had sold it the night before after a week of communication about the car. They proceeded to try to sell me cars I was not interested in after me repeatedly saying I was not interested. Communication leading up to the trip was spotty at best and I had to follow up multiple times on many questions. Felt like I had to sell the car to myself then didnt even get to drive away with it.

We put the down payment on our KIA Carnival a week in advance. Our salesman Mike told us it would be ready to drive home upon our arrival. We drove from Utah a week later to find someone installing the ski racks. During our first look at the vehicle we noticed the plastic was still all over from shipping. It took two days to find it all and I am.posirive we will be finding more soon.The paperwork was not ready, it took two hours from our arrival to before we actually signed documents. Overall this was one of the worst vehicle buying experiences ever in my life.

Kevin in service helped me out tremendously. I had taken my car in for service the day before I had to leave for a two week work trip in Salt Lake City. Turns out I had a recall on my car and had to wait for a part to be delivered, so Kevin set me up with a rental car. Two weeks later I come back and my car is finished and running great. Absolute WORST dealership I’ve ever had the displeasure to walk into. Sales people and management lie just to get a sale, only for the buyer to get screwed over in the end. Judging by their terrible business practices, I can’t see how they still have customers. I have made sure to tell anyone interested in buying a new vehicle NOT to come here. I would give this place a negative rating if I could. Went in to look at a vehicle. Did not purchase anything from here or have any services done. Now I have a loan place calling everyday all day saying a $1,000 loan was taken out on my behalf by the dealership and dealership is refusing to give them their money back.... DO NOT give them any of your information up front. I had to report them to the BBB and currently in the process of filing a lawsuit to get this money back from them. O have repeatedly called as well as the loan place just to keep getting the run around. Frustrated is an understatement and I will advise everyone to stay away.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I’m not sure they deserve the 1. My husband and I have been into this dealership a hand full of times. We basically sold ourselves the car that we ended up buying, and only bought it from this dealership because it was exactly what we were looking for. With that said, in the process of buying the car, everything was disorganized from the start. We talked to multiple people, no one knew anything about the details of the car, all of our paperwork was haphazardly thrown into a file folder, no one knew what the deal was even as we were handing over a check for the purchase. We stood for hours without anyone checking in on us. It was a long day of unprofessional and horrible service.We just had the car serviced and the experience was not much different. Had my husband not had background knowledge in cars and warranties, they would have charged us $104 for an oil change, even though our car is a 2020 and under warranty. My husband had to correct them in order to not be charged. No one was wearing masks. Again, had to search for an employee for customer service. When my husband got into the car, there was oil from the service department smeared on the interior of our vehicle, a quick wipe down would have been appreciated. We are considering looking for other Volkswagen dealerships for future services. Not sure we can trust the service we receive at this dealership.My advice, know your stuff going in so you don’t get taken advantage of, or find an alternative dealership with quality customer service.

The VW employees are incredibly inconsistent and unreliable. I was told they could install automatic start in my vehicle. It took them 5 months and 2 (3 hr) appointments before they realized they could not help me at all. The employees never answer their phones and when they say they will call you back... they wont.

Halfto say I have purchased about 7 cars in my life time and every single time I have left the dealership either feeling cheated or forced into a contract I couldnt sustain or wanted, now some of that is on me and some is just the predatory nature of many car dealers. This was not my experience in the least here. In my prior situation I need a car quick and frankly was taken advantage of. Fast forward Im at the dealership in billings explaining my situation and its strange nature of still owing on this loan but desperate to get out of it.I came early to checkout a deal that I had seen on social media and was very impressed and supprised. My sales representative Tori was phenomenal. After explaining everything she carefully walked me around the lot to see what would fit my needs. Now seeing that my situation as I said was difficult it took some really Smooth manuvering on the finance teams end. Jason and Fred the finance genies worked for hours trying to get me the best rate I could possibly get sadly towards the end it became apparent that I might walk out having spent the whole day with nothing..... might I add this whole time the sales representative next to me and Tori, mike the self proclaimed and later to find out certified Volkswagen master helped not only entertain my toddler but aided Tori in making sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable during this process. And then out of nowhere I heard GET EXCITED ! As last minute as my resolve had weakend and I was ready to drive home Fred and Jason said weve figured it out. Not only did they lower my rate to an astounding 3.9 % again mind you from 27%. But I was walking out not with a used car but a brand new luxury vehicle. Between mikes knowledge and Toris exceptional customer service my experience was unlike any Ive ever had. As far as the two who made the deal possible I hope your bosses see this because youve definitely earned mine and my businesses future business. Thanks to the whole teAm and dont let me forget the lovely lady in finance who got my paperwork done as fast as the roadrunner so that my toddler could get in the new car and relax on the hour drive home.

I cannot even begin to tell you the incredible service that Kevin and Troy and Omar gave me in the Service Department. I had a minor accident, but it was imperative that my partner receive a critical surgery for cancer. We would have to be back and forth to the hospital for two days. It was unbelievable how quickly the two men listened to me, developed a plan, and had my partner at the hospital in time. They were professional and knowledgeable. They knew the resources needed to help me. If you want to buy a car where you can depend on service, I highly recommend Kevin and Troy and Omar. Through no fault of the dealership, the parts coming in we’re going to take longer than the time I had to stay in this town. I live 126 miles away. They remembered I had a deadline. They told me to take my loaner car home, and when my car was repaired they would deliver it. Remember, it was 126 miles each way. I was astonished at that level of care.As I was driving home it occurred to me who else would do this for me. I realized that only my best friend would give me that help. I think you can receive the level of service and trust as you would have for your best friend.It looks like I have to add to my review, not write a second review. In July 2021 I had my first service.. I had special time needs and that was easy to schedule. My Service manager was Kevin. His service and communication was Professional with a capital P! He kept me in the loop at all times, suggested a pen that would help with the dings on my door from Walmart. There was confusion about the oil change payments, and he had that resolved in less that five minutes. Once again, I highly recommend Volkswagen Kia.

Rebecca and Jason showed me a 2016 Kia Optima when I couldnt afford the loan for the VW Golf R, which is a fun and beautiful car if you get the chance to look at it, and I was very surprised with Kia as Ive never been in one let alone near one. We went looking for a new car for my wife. Intended on getting a Tahoe or Yukon. As we pulled into the “wrong lot” Garrytt (salesman) directed us where we needed to go but asked for us to at least look at the Telluride and Atlas. We where quite impressed with Garrytt and both vehicles. Never considered either SUV before that day. Ended up buying the Atlas and are very happy with it. Garrytt was awesome and the dealership worked with us to get the deal done. I would buy another vehicle from them.

Dealership had my car for 2 1/2 weeks because they couldn’t figure out the issue on my 15’ VW Passat TDI. They never once called me with an update, I always called them. They did pay for my rental through enterprise, only after I coordinated it and requested it. My car now has more issues after they replaced the engine harness. I also paid for them to install an undercarriage protector beneath the engine. I received an oil change at a different VW dealership 2 weeks later, they informed me that the Billings VW Dealership didn’t install the protector correctly and it was missing multiple screws and bolts. I’ve called the VW dealership to speak to the service manager after numerous messages and attempts of contact, naturally no one has called me back and every time I call they tend to avoid my phone calls like the plague. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this dealership just for lack of communication and service.

I’ve purchased 9 vehicles from dealerships here in Montana as well as California. This was BY FAR the best experience. The entire staff was helpful and forthcoming. Greg Tutor (salesperson) and the manager were so kind and worked to get us a great deal. They gave me a great value on my trade in which made the deal possible. They cared about my time and made sure they got us out of there quickly. There was no pressure, just friendly, smiling, and helpful people!! I purchase a very gently used 2019 VW Atlas and we are loving it!!! We’ll definitely be back when it’s time to buy another vehicle.

One of many visits, they kept vehicle for a week and did not get work completed. .just plain horrible service.I had heard they removed all their staff and started over. What I can say is this was a good move. All the service was completed and they kept in touch and explained everything about the repairs that were needed. Great service. I will return now. Thank you

Service on our car was good but while we were waiting we could hear the worker in the BDC room just insulting and ranting about one of his customers. His door was wide open and we could all hear him just ranting about some poor customer wanting to replace their windshield and a lot of information that sounded like he really should have shut the door and not been yelling in his office about. If Im honest, if I ever had to deal with him I would just walk out and find somewhere else to go. Hearing him insult and rant about his customers made me really uneasy and sick.

Great people, good service! Initially I was there to get my 2014 Passat TDI (which I bought 3 weeks previously in Arizona) repaired while visiting family in Miles City. The repair shop found that there was several major problems with that car that caused it to breakdown. Michelle in the service dept kept me well informed of the work they were doing, and when the problems were diagnosed of the repair required and time frame. During the time I was waiting the dealership in Arizona called to inform me that they screwed up the purchase contract for that car (more on that in a bit). I told them of the problems with the car and that I was going to hopefully trade it in for a 2020 Passat SE. Magic Mike Martin checked their inventory and found a just delivered blue Passat, so we did the paperwork for it. Him and the sales managers, Fred and Jake, were trying to find a way for VW Credit to get the financing pushed through or swapped from the 2014 to the 2020 when Donna in finance mentioned that with no valid contract the 2014 still belonged to the Arizona dealership. She recommended I call them and tell them what broke on the car, and that their broken car was in Billings. After doing that, Mike and Jake re-submitted the financing with no trade and in a few minutes I was approved for the auto loan. My trip their the first day was over 6 hours (most of it waiting on repair diagnostics), but as I sat there I saw great interactions with every sales and service staff and other customers. The second day I went back to pick up my new car the service techs had issues with syncing the carnet system, but they pushed the help desk to make it a priority to get it done. Because of that I was there anther 4 hours, and once again saw great interactions between the sales and service staff and customers. Talked to a few others that were waiting for their vehicles to be serviced and each of them had good things to say about this dealership. From what I saw and heard it is definitely a no pressure, buyer-centric dealership. If they dont have it, they will look to find it; and if you found it somewhere cheaper they will recommend you go with your own feeling and thoughts as if that is a deal you want to make. Also if they have what you are looking for, but it is not in your budget, they dont pressure you to take something else just to make a sale. I heard several of the salesmen simply state that the customer would be better off checking back later on then getting into a car that they dont really like. Hearing that lets you know that they want their customers to be happy.

This was our first visit to VW Billings. The drive up to the service area was covered in dead grasshoppers, the waiting area chairs were torn, we wanted to look at the GTI in the show room but it was locked and we were told they did not know why and made no effort to assist us, tables were dirty, when we finally got notice our car was done, we were pointed to the direction it was. We have been in many different dealerships and never once was our car not washed or if not washed at least the windshield was cleaned as a curtesy for us driving a distance to receive service. Pride in the dealership and service took second fiddle to sales.The mechanic did his job.

Dont go here for auto service. If you are one of those people that liked it then you have low standards of customer service. The Bismarck store is much more friendly and will treat you with respect and kindness, unlike this location. I have to drive very far either way, but i can assure you that Billings is not the answer. Try Bismarck, youll thank me and never want to return to this non caring location.P.S. close this location and reopen once you learn people skills

On 5/13/2020 I took my 2013 Volkswagen Passat in for 40k service. My check engine light was on and my ADblue warning light where on. I asked them to find out what was wrong. I live 100 miles away. They had my car most of the day while my wife and I waited and test drove cars. In the meantime the mechanic said that I had tried to jump my car wrong and that had caused the malfunctions but I had the car for only a week and had never jumped the car. The mechanic did the 40k service and said he fixed the service engine light. I get half way home and my service engine light and all my other warning lights come on. My ADblue warning also came on and so I call the dealership and they say I will have to bring the car back. I had to take the day off of work again. In the meantime I researched on the internet what was causing my lights to come on and I found VW forum after forum saying that the left ABS sensor has failed and will need replaced. I print off the info. I return with my car on 5/18/20. On the way to Billings, I noticed that my mirror is loose and I ask them to repair it or quote me for repairs. I try to give the information to the service tech about the failed senor but he ignores the info. LOW AND BEHOLD the mechanic diagnosis the problem a failed ABS sensor in the left wheel. I also find out the mechanic DID NOT fill the Adblue the first time but did the second time!!!! They did not have the part and had to order it. I left and found that they did not look at my mirror!! I called the dealership and left a message for the Service manager who NEVER called me back to ask find out what happened or to make things right. I talked to both service techs and they were apologetic but they have never called me back after I asked for a free oil change or some form of compensation for not doing their job.. I would never recommend this dealership to work on a VW car the y ignore any concerns and lack communication!!!

My son wanted to get his key setup at this dealership, with an appointment at 1:30, at 2:45 they said that it couldn’t be done and charged $30.00 for nothing! Oh, and they did try to sell him a car, no matter his poor credit, and found things wrong with his car which needed to be fixed! What a sham!!!!!!!!!!

About a year ago I purchased a vehicle from Volkswagen kia. Only because my truck broke down while I was on leave and getting ready to head back to my duty station. The staff took advantage of the situation and swindled me. Showed me false documents that looked legal to me, i.e. proof of purchase and necessary forms used to purchase a vehicle. Even showed me a title that I believed was to the vehicle I was purchasing and was told they would be sending to my bank I was getting a loan through. I only learned something was wrong when my bank contacted me saying that they hadnt received the title. I did research and learned that the vehicle was sold from the lot but had not had legal rights to sell the vehicle because they didnt have the title. If youre unfamiliar with car laws thats illegal and called title hopping.

Terrible customer service, I brought a key fob I got from another dealership that went out of business in SC, they took an hour and a half to tell me my key fob wouldn’t work and charged me 30 bucks for nothing. I’m certain they only wanted to sell me a key fob for their dealership. The service agent was rude and mean.
