Fantastic store. Great selection, great prices, and knowledgeable friendly staff. We have been using Montana Leather for years and plan to continue to do so. We dont get to make it up in person as much as we like (500 mile round trip) but we can also call or visit their website to get what we need between our current n person visits.

Recently ordered and received a full size Buffalo robe from Montana Leather Company. I was impressed with the price/quality of the hide. Overall happy with my purchase, but giving two stars as they shipped via FedEx. FedEx is horrible and inexcusable. Since there is no way to hold FedEx accountable, we need to start holding the businesses who use them responsible.

I recently placed my first order with Montana Leather. I received my product and the quality was incredible! My 3x1 ft leather was a little larger than expected and no blemishes. I just placed another order for a full side and a 3x1 of thicker leather for a different project. I recommend Montana Leather!

Their website inventory isnt always up-to-date. Ive had two orders held up because they didnt actually have the leather in stock. Customer service has been hit and miss. I wanted to like this company and continue to do business with them, but unfortunately I feel like I need to find a different supplier after my most recent experience.

Best leather supplies in Montana

This is a fantastic leatherwork shop. They dont have EVERYTHING. But they have a huge variety of things. You can walk in and walk out with every single thing needed to complete a project. This shop is 75% geared towards saddles and things of that nature. They generally have a very good selection of leather. From cow, bison to kangaroo. You do need to go through a decent amount of leather to find a top selection quality side. But, it is worth it. The staff is extremely friendly and do their best to answer questions. They carry alot of top name brands in everything. Leather brands ranging from Horween, Hermann Oak, and Wickett and Craig to cheaper brands to make excellent leather goods from. Plenty of scrap to practice on or to make something from for much cheaper vs an entire side.

My newest favorite store! Great prices, lots of crafting kits and materials, and hundreds of different kinds of hides including natural (undyed) sheep skins that are perfect for keeping you warm when the snow flies and temps dip (use on top of bottom sheet for a fluffy and warm bed).
