Do NOT enter the property. Park on the street and then go in to give Recieving your paperwork. If you come in from 2nd Ave N and 33rd St N you will be set up for a back in.First Come, First Served. Forget the Appt Time.
Other reviews were accurate...no need to repeat it
I dont see whats so hard about this back. Just go in off the street there is only one dock..
Work here at your own risk! The evening supervisor is very disrespectful and unprofessional. Never have I encountered such an angry individual on the job. He has an issue with helping ppl in need of his assistance. Hes all around the worst person to have in a position of power because he abuses his authority.
Two trucks delivered there on Wednesday- one took 6 hours to unload and other truck 5 hours to unload. Terrible place for delivering loads.
They bought SBC Distributing and After that there service went down the hill when they bought SBC they increase the price of all the item, they always out of stock on most items now for last month we havent received our Beer or red Bull Deliver the sales person comes every week to take the order but we dont received delivery they supplies to all big chain grocery but they ignore small Convivence store. I Hope Coors, corona and Red Bull company should cancel there contract with GFS other wise they will be loosing money because of Un-professional Un- Managed distributing company
Had a 8am Appointment didnt get unloaded until 1pm
Prior to 7 a.m. local drivers are loading. This spot is a little tight but doable. Loading/ unloading goes pretty quick once docked. Employees are very nice and helpful.
Don’t show up after 11:00 am they don’t unload you. And they told me come beck 6:30 next morning and then guess what 9:00 am and still here like 7 more semis outside on the street and nothing.. they are just lazy
This place was a nightmare to deliver..smh
Great distribution company
Great people to work with. Always working on making sure the loads are right.
10 trucks...1 door..1st come 1st serve
Well you have to park in the street then either blind side back from the street or get turned around like I did going backroads. If youre lucky there maybe space enough inside to back in easy but if theres a bunch of trucks no dice. Good luck! Its first come first serve forget your appointment time!
Unloading was fast
Easy peasy. Arrived at 8:20am for a 9:00am appointment. Had me in a door by 9:00am and empty by 10:00am.
Street parking for waiting.. hard back but doable.. friendly staff
Quick
Extremely poor customer service.
Customer service awful
Nice staff. Dock lay out is retarded. You must park on the street with the no parking signs. Sets appointments for delivery but seems to be fcfs.Birmingham, Al i20 also made the del harder than it had to be.
Tight spot, but quick unloading
An absolutely horrid company to do business with! Incompetent employees directed by incompetent management. I have had endless headaches when dealing with Gulf Distributing Company of Birmingham. Over the last seven months they have yet to get a single order correct, and worse is their utter refusal to fix mistakes made by their salespeople. I would highly recommend finding another place to invest your time and money, as this business is at best a joke.Today 6/8/18 I have had yet another issue with this wretched, sorry, excuse for a business. My store switched from using one of their sales people to the telesales system, to help alleviate headaches. It has not worked..... The delivery drivers are still just as pathetic as every single other person there!! They have managed to break something every single delivery. Of course they dont tell you they did. No! You find the broken product when you move something they hid it with!! Finding unexpected broken glass with bare hands is less than ideal!! You call their, customer service (what a joke), only to be yelled at for having a complaint then hung up on. Save your door space for a company that actually works, like Adams Beverage, or Alabev. The Coors and Miller products arent worth the disappointment and stitches!! Gulf Distributing Company of Alabama is an unfunny joke!!
Company will pad your order with products that you neither ordered or authorized. Complete lack of ethics.
This company is HORRIBLE to to drive for. They do not train you correctly then expect you to know what to do on the job by yourself. They will make you work like a slave I totaled up the hours I worked and how much I was paid it eaquled out to 10 dollars an hour. The Human resources lady is a joke says she has an open door policy but her door is closed because she is never there. The ware house never has the trucks loaded on time with in turn makes customers mad at you. Being a driver you will have to put up over a 1000 cases by yourself. They promise a helper will come out but I have never had help. The driver supervisor does not know what he is doing he makes excuses for everything and blames everyone but his self. They will give you a locker you cannot even get a key to. The salesman never do their job as a driver customers will get mad at you for their faults....I was yelled at by customers countless numbers of time. Hey if you dont believe me try it for yourself but dont say I didnt warn you.....💩💩💩💩💩💩💩ty JOB.
Small place but quick unloading once you get a dock door.
I dont know why all the bad reviews. Yes there is over night parking on the street in front of the warehouse. Park on the street and check in at 7 am. They will come out to get you. They start at 8am appt. Tight yard but if you know how to back up youll be fine. My appt was at 8 am and was in the dock at 8:35 and out the gate at 9:10. People were cordial and nice. No problems here.
Doesnt matter about appointments. Apparently its first come first served.
All the negative reviews about this place are accurate. Avoid if you can. Don’t even think to check in before 8am. The upside is that you can sleep on the streets in the area.
Nice and professional!! Fast in and out service.
No people answer phones in the last 7 days this is the most incompetent company in the USA
Awful place to work! Worked there informed HR of my trip to Africa. Gave a two week notice as instructed by Judy Graham.. After i worked my two-week notice i took my trip to Africa. It was Amazing! I called from Africa and spoke to Susan from HR about my last check. After two months of the Best days of my life, i went in to work. There was new HR, I saw the new HR lady interviewing the same day i spoke to Judy Graham before my two-week notice. The new HR didnt knw the nature of our conversation and so contacted Judy Graham about wether or not i was suppose to return.i found that strange that nothing about me was in system, but I patiently waited. To my Shock and Suprise, Judy Graham claimed she never heard of me before, she said remind me of who you are because i did not know who you are. I said Im the employee who informed you of my trip to Africa and i came to you and gave my two week notice. She said she worked out of Montgomery and never worked out of the Birmingham location. (But she was there when HR lady Carolyn Lyttle was out because Carolyn left to transfer to another location.) She said since theres no PROOF of me giving a two week notice i was no longer rehireable. I said call Sydney the warehouse manager. They said they let him go! I said call Johnny another manager. He said he did not know what we discussed and nothing was informed to him (lies) so he took a dont get me involved stance. Finally as Im leaving i said a quiet prayer to myself, just then the new HR woman said i remember you the day i interviewed. She said I dont know why Ms. Graham is denying knowing you, she said but i didnt hear your conversation I jus know i remember you spoke with her while i interviewed. Judy calls as im headed out not knowing i hadnt fully left the room! Then i overhear new HR lady say shes still here. There was a pause. Then she passed the phone to me, Judy Graham basically shouted at me its my fault I didnt put my 2 week notice in writing. I have til this day a letter that we Judy Graham and i corresponded with over something else.(remember she claimed she never heard or knew of me). For her to say she never knew me...well this is the type of stuff we poor black folks on the bottom line have to deal with in a daily basis working in these right to work states. God has been with me in my journey, my spirit told me to write this. Maybe somebody will take heed before accepting employment here.
Slow start, 630 appointment got a door around 800, out at 9.
Customer service from receptionist is awful.
Just try calling there number. Good luck getting return phone calls. Have been trying for a week!
Not a good place to unload. I loaded here Monday on a round trip to Louisville. Was told when I left for Louisville that the weather would be bad (snow) when I got back to Bham and to not expect unloading until Thursday. Turns out weather forecast was wrong and I rolled in at 8 am to unload Wednesday per my company instructions. Guy on loading dock got in my face and yelled to me and everyone on the loading dock not to unload me because Louisville didn’t send correct paperwork. My operations manager made some calls and he had an attitude adjustment. It still took 3 hours to get out of there. I’m not going back.
Hard backing but good receivers at dock
Good people who unload trucks fast!
Horrible customer service! They will not return calls when youre trying to order from them.
One assigned dock only took 30 minutes to unload,
Great place to work with.
Can’t get ANYONE on the phone and then when you place your order you might get it delivered and you might not! BEEN waiting for over a week and it still hasn’t been delivered!
1 of the worst company Ive ever delivered to.
I just had a great interview
Awesome!!
Good people

Dont do it
🎸🌮🔫💯
SLOSS FEST !!!
