In addition to their great selection of books, they also have a large section in the back of the store with music, including vinyl, and all sorts of collectibles. They have a cafe that is licensed to serve Starbucks, but note that you cannot use a Starbucks account to pay. Great cafe with plenty of seating and power outlets.

They have a great selection of vinyl records. My daughter found an album she has been looking for, for months and was so excited. I did an online order for pickup and it was very easy to pick up my item. Its always a great experience at this location.

If you enjoy the comfort of a bookstore and walking the rows of shelves looking for just the right book, this place is for you. So much more of an experience than just ordering from Amazon.

My husband and I ordered drinks today. A basic Latte with Honey and a Chia Latte. We have no idea what we actually received. These drinks were not close to what we would get at the Starbucks.I was not with my husband and we didnt try the drinks until we were driving. He mentioned the girls working did not appear to be trained.Very disappointed

I love Barnes and nobles its a great place to go and get lost for some time looking at all they have to offer. To think of the knowledge, imagination and coffee they have to offer there; one could spend a lifetime there and never be able to read or know everything this place has to offer, not to mention one could never drink all the delicious coffee they have to offer there as well. You can try though! And thats what makes this place a relaxing and wonderful place to spend some time. Open your mind and learn something new! Explore anything you can think of within those walls is countless worlds, languages and stories waiting to be discovered and things you have never thought of are waiting to be read!

**Top notch service**I was desperate to find a specific book for my wife and I called the store to ask. Ken answered and he searched the entire store for me and found it within a couple of minutes. This store has all the latest books. They also carry some nice gifts, a huge selection of magazines and a nice jigsaw puzzle selection. The kids section is great and the also have some nice toys. They even have a nice sale section.

Its a book store. I meet students there for tutoring. They need to install many and more accessible power plugs in the area used for study and reading. Most classes now have online textbooks.Otherwise it was a normal book store experience.The place was clean and neat.

Book stores are (as you probably know) a dieing breed. However, if you want to go to one you cant do better than this. Books galore plus coffee, gift ideas and many other interesting items. I had forgotten how much fun it is to just browse books - it opens you up to many titles you didnt even know existed. Drop in!

Great store! Barrens & noble is something I grew up with on the east coast and I love that they are still around and offering so much. This time I was looking for childrens books and my kids spent almost two hours trying to decide on which books to get. They had a vast variety of books to choose from. The childrens section had a very nice sitting area to read and explore the many choices available. I noticed they had a huge variety of activity books for people of all ages and interests. There were so many games and building toys also available. The place was neat and clean. There was a Cafe for those who enjoy something to drink or a snack while choosing/reading their books.

An amazing place to just wander and look at things or sit down and study. A beautiful outside sitting space! They just planted new flowers!

Theyre focused on helping customers at the Summit. They listened to what I needed, looked at each other and immediately said, That would be for Josh, then took me right to him. He knew several books to suggest, was super familiar with authors, interested in the subject. I love that place.

I love going to Barnes and Noble. They have all of the Best Sellers and plenty of new and old authors to choose from, as well. Their magazine collection is awesome.

Excellent service. I stopped by to pick up a board game, and much to my disappointment half the pieces were missing from the box. That isnt Barnes and Nobles fault, not am i blaming them, it was the company who made the games fault. What B&N did do was give me excellent service in correcting the issue. They easily could have told me sorry, you have to exchange it for the same game since it was already opened like some places do. Nope, instead they let me exchange it and allow what I already paid to be store credit for another game I bought, which I felt was definitely a better choice. This place is excellent!

Id like to personally thank Amanda, the store manager, for allowing my six-year-old daughter to use the bathroom 15 minutes after the store closed. A lesser person, perhaps one lacking in empathy, compassion, and perhaps a prefrontal cortex, would have differed to policy and bemoaned her inability to act autonomously. But not you, Amanda, you gem of a human being. Im sure our purchase from the store, not an hour prior, and our B&N membership werent factors in the decision since a commitment to exceptional customer service is an ingrained part of company culture.I, of course, will continue to do my part to support this brick and mortar business lest they go the way of the Dodo bird. The selection of books is very poor and the coffee shop will not let you sit down, so theres really no reason to go there.

The bookstore staff was extremely nice and helpful. However, the larger woman with glasses who works in the café was quit rude and brutal. I didn’t appreciate her rough attitude towards me when I was just simply asking some questions about the coffee. Her demeanor was awful.

Amidst all the chaos in the Summit, its always a welcome treat to sit in Barnes & Noble and relax. The store is well maintained, the employees are friendly and helpful, and the addition of Starbucks and additional seats makes the atmosphere feel great. I will always be stopping by whenever I pass through Birmingham.

Best layout of a Barnes and Noble Starbucks Cafe hands down! Been up and down the East coast and West coast and have not run into a Cafe so well laid out for those of us that do work on the road.
