The price was higher than usual for 2 box of construction wood screws. Great place to find what you need for just about anything. This place is better than Lowe’s. HM Depot Hoover employees help if a customer needs it.

Normally I dont do this but...Cant say enough about this crew...OUTSTANDING! Tameka, Ms.Daisy, Clint, Eddie and there was another Lady there, cannot recall her name (sorry Maam), but she too...OUTSTANDING! I had multiple issues for several weeks, as I have an on going home remodeling project, several projects! Ive had to have this returned that exchanged, and things were/are very frustrating at this point, but they all have been hanging in there with me, keeping smiles on their beautiful faces. I really appreciate their sunny dispositions, despite the circumstances. Clint made me mad at 1 point, not because he had an attitude, because he didnt, I just wanted my way, he was just doing his job. 🙄 😒 😆...Anyway, when I go in now, they all say hey Ms. W***, whatcha got going on now?...its like family, as a matter of fact, just like family, because theyre giving nothing, JUST LIKE FAMILY! 🤭 Okay, Ill close for now, still have lots of projects to complete, and back to the crew, to work their nerves(not for real)😉. Always a WONDERFUL experience at the Hoover AL. Home Depot!

I’m giving this 2 stars only cause I’ve never had an issue with finding what I came to the store for product wise. We often come here & to other pet friendly stores because we have a super friendly basset hound that loves to go. Yesterday evening (9/29/21) I took her into this specific location, she was super excited to even be there. I rounded the corner in the carpet section and 3 of your associates were working at a desk around a computer. One associate spoke & I informed him she’s super friendly so he patted his leg for her to come to him to show her some attention she was eager to receive. One associate literally jumped over the back of the chair he was sitting in, frightening not only me but my dog (who is a pup & definitely not aggressive in any sort) and began getting hateful and accused my dog of charging at him. My dog was called over by the associate sitting next to him! There was exchange that wasn’t friendly to the point that one of the other associates told him to “chill out”— I think since you’re a pet friendly establishment, you need to have a training course or something in the hiring process about pets/dogs & what to do when you encounter them in the store as a worker/associate. My pet is equivalent to a child to me, & that experience in the Hoover location yesterday very much angered me. I would never bring an aggressive dog into a public place, so please make sure your associates aren’t aggressive towards me & mine! I’ll take my business & her to Lowe’s where we’ve never had an issue.

I wanted to go by Home Depot.( Hoover location). I just like the place. Tools, lumber, paint, nail guns, hammers, Cutting saws,etc. Who wouldnt like this place. When I walk in I am like yes I can build it and build it better. I decided to buy a Rigid drill combo set. It has 2 batteries. (18 volt subcompact.) 2 drills. Drill driver and an impact drill. Also has a charger and a carrying bag. I was satisfied with the purchase. I also get free batteries for life and free repairs when I register my products with Rigid. I give this visit 5 thumbs up. 👍👍👍👍👍

I like this location, but had to deduct a star because its apparently not dog friendly. 🤨 First time Ive seen a Home Depot that wasnt dog friendly. Apart from the convenience of this location, I would actually consider going to another store that is dog friendly instead of this one.

We have not always been pleased with service at Home Depots in general, but tonight a worker helping us with a kitchen faucet was great. Most helpful, courteous and professional. Did not get his name, but he improved the HD image for us and we appreciated him. Galleria Home Depot.

About what anyone would expect for a big box store. They have most things anyone would need for home projects. Items needed can be a challenge to find at times as just like Lowes the place is cavernous but clean and well stocked.

I have never been so disrespected in my life as I have been from the workers at this store. First of all, Ive been trying to have a flooring project completed for the past 2 months, and things didnt go as planned (no fault of Home Depots, just found out late in the process that the flooring we bought would not work with our foundation). Anyways, after we found that out weve been trying to get in contact with the store and specifically the flooring department and NO ONE is ever working at the flooring desk. You call the store, get transferred to their phone, and 9/10 times they dont pick up. Then, that transfers you to the service desk, and they just HANG UP THE PHONE! This was not just a one time fluke, it has happened to me on multiple occasions/days with the service desk. Im not sure this project will ever end, but when it does I will absolutely never support this store again.Additionally, Ive also had problems with the company they contract with for flooring (Romanoff Renovations). On our installation date, we waited around all day for someone to come within the timeframe they gave us and 1 person showed up and said that he couldnt do this by himself today and theyd send a full crew tomorrow. Its like he had absolutely no idea what the job would entail and the company did not communicate with this one solo worker or myself (the customer) about the situation. The full crew did come the next day, and thats when we found out that our flooring wouldnt even work out. Regardless, I would never recommend going with this Home Depot for a flooring project and good luck if you ever need to call this store.Update 10/22/21: Two weeks ago the flooring that we originally ordered that could not be installed was picked up and returned to Home Depot and I STILL have not been contacted about my refund. Ive tried reaching out to customer service and the flooring department and no one ever calls or emails back.

This place treats people with absolutely 0 respect. No one helps you with heavy loads. The people at the service desk have absolutely no class and treated my wife like garbage, even though she’s spent over $20,000 with the company Over the past 2 months. Even the assistant store manager was rude to her. I do not understand why you would get a job in customer service if you don’t like people and talk to them so disrespectfully!

I have not been to this home Depot which is located in Hoover in the Galleria Shopping Complex, for a very long time. The store was quite busy, but there were plenty of employees to handle the flow of customers. The store is clean, well organized, and all the employees were very courteous to me. I was actually checking prices on bedroom doors. I did not realize that a simple bedroom door was that expensive. However, they all think well make a wonderfully organized. Unfortunately, I did not find what I was looking for today. I do believe Im going to have to go this thrift store route on this particular home improvement project.

Waited for 20 minutes after someone was paged to the aisle I was on. No one ever showed up.As I was walking to the front, there were associates just standing around talking.I did not make a purchase...Was going to buy an air conditioner for almost $600 and a chainsaw...they just lost over $800 in sales...

All of the employees go out of there way to say hello and ask if you need any help with anything! Their selection of items is always top notch too. 100% recommended!

I went in to buy a pressure washer because this particular store had the one I wanted. I had to show them that there was 2 in stock and then waited about 40 minutes for the associates to decide that they were going to get a forklift to retrieve it for me. I waited another 15 minutes after the arrival of the forklift and still didnt get the pressure washer. I left without it and this was totally opposite of the outstanding service I get at the prattville store.

Customer service has vastly improved since David started working at the pro desk.

Haven’t had the best experiences here, but also haven’t had the worst. Their lighting selection is very small. Not a lot of choices. They quoted me a rediculouse price for my kitchen. Way out of the budget I told them at the beginning. They wasted over an hour of my time. Then messed up my order of appliances.

Awful customer service! Its is difficult to get anyone to come to the phone and they never return calls. Management is very incompetent. We purchased a front door for our home. The door was installed wrong three times before they finally got it right. The first time It was installed backwards. We were told that we would get a discount for all the hassle but never did. Management is very complacent and noone appears to care about the customer.

Very good selection when I went by to get a few things. I saw lots of items I did not know they had. Some of the nuts and bolts I purchased were very overpriced. I had to still get the overpriced items because I didnt have time to go anywhere else. The employees were nice and helpfull.

Please hire people that like there job, that answers the phone in all departments especially doors, super unprofessional ..........Keep picking up and hanging up who does that.

Today was my last day working here! The manager Erica is the worst she like to talk to employees any kind of way and she discuss other employees personal business with different associates. She was mad this morning and took all her anger out on me. You don’t be treated fair there at all by certain supervisors.

I came before helpers clocked in. Felt pretty lost wandering around for two items. Once the customer service people arrived, thing went very smoothly.

After not being able to find any associates for about 15 minutes, I encountered Erica, again. My interactions with her over the years at the Pelham location as well as this location have not been pleasant experiences. I absolutely do not know why this woman is a manager. She is beyond rude to customers and downright mean to the employees. I dont care to witness it anymore. I will be canceling my companys account and sending our maintenance teams elsewhere for supplies and materials, in addition to encouraging our contractors to do the same.

Home Improvement Headquarters. This is my go to place for home improvement supplies. They have it all. The prices are reasonable and it is not hard to find an employee in the event you need assistance. The self checkouts are faster if you are in a hurry. But, I still prefer to checkout with a cheerful employee.

Noticeable difference in customer service. While I had to ask for assistance, response was immediate and attentive. Good experience.

No associates available. searched all over the store for an associate to cut two boards for me.... found one employee who told me there should be someone over there...after I explained to her that Id walk the entire store and hadnt found anyone but her she walked back over to the lumber area with me and she couldnt find an employee either... she then proceeded to the front of the store where they paged someone to lumber... I waited another 10 minutes and finally left without buying anything.

Ordered a refrigerator from this location. When it was delivered it was the wrong one. When I called about this I was told it was my fault it was the wrong one and that I would be charged a restocking fee to have this one removed and the right one brought. Was also told that I did not matter because they were a multi million dollar company with plenty of customers. When I asked for the ladies name she refused to give it to me and then refused to help me any further. All I was asking for was the right one to be delivered that I purchased. I was not even mad at first because I understand sometimes mistakes happen but to be talked to and treated as I was has definitely turned me from ever coming back to Home Depot. Since you are a multi million dollar company missing my business Im sure wont matter.

Our go to for home building supplies. Good products. Customer service needs improvement and oftentimes items are out of place and difficult to find even for the employees.

I dont know what is going on in the garden department but Ive never seen their veggies and flowers look so bad. They are dry and dying. The management must really be lacking to allow this to happen. Go to lowes to buy your garden needs they actually water and care for their stuff!

Great store but I was told I couldnt enter without a mask one day. I turned around and got one. Well the last 2 days I got there before opening and looking through the window and half the workers are not wearing mask inside. Now doesnt that defeat the virus spread if the workers could be spreading the virus through the store while they preparing to open. Get it right home Depot. Mask on or off. It was great. I purchased a tape gun & picked it up curbside so I wouldnt have to wear the mask on my off day. I followed the instructions emailed to me, checked in when I arrived and, about 2 minutes later, my product was delivered to my car. Thanks Home Depot for providing such excellent service. 👍👏😀
