Fun place to shop. Old fashioned toy and hobby store. When grandkids visit we always stop in. Been doing that for 13 years. And downtown Homewood is a great place to walk and eat.

Great place to buy Lego they have a pretty good selection since the Lego store in the mall closed down. Also nice and friendly staff.

The guys were very helpful. I got a lot accomplished with their extensive knowledge. The lady was very kind to my children, but I didnt care for her attitude toward me. Almost wanted to take my $300 purchase elsewhere.

They are the most knowledgeable people in the business they have technicians there who love anything rc . They made it very easy for me to learn what I wanted and how to operate my new rc car

1 rude employee. We like supporting small businesses, and we drove about 30 miles to go to this store but never again. I would have just walked out if I hadnt promised my grandchildren a toy, but I spent about $60 less than I was going to. Next time, Ill shop online.

Went here specifically to get a new trx6. They had it in stock and Their price was right in line with everyone else, who didnt have one in stock. The gentleman was friendly and knowledgeable about the truck. I couldnt see the store because I went during the covid 19 shut down, so curbside only.

We came in the store just looking round and waiting for dog and found Christmas gifts for all our grandkids we walked in the back of the store and found our grandson a truck the sale man was a young male he knew everything bout the truck r going to buy he told us everything we needed to know how the shop does all the repairs and have all the nuts and bolts we need for his new truck we felt very comfortable talking to the young man he wasnt rude or anything he answered every question we had I just to want that kind of service excellent to have an toy sale dealing with the grandparents we will be back to get that truck we could go anywhere else the service makes me to want to come back for more ☺️ THANK YOU 💖

There is a huge selection of items in all price ranges. Everything they carry could be purchased online possibly for less but we shop local when possible. The store received three stars because they do not offer restroom facilities which are necessary when shopping with children and babies. We had to leave the store to find a restroom for our four year old. The Little Professor offered spotless bathroom facilities and were very welcoming. We purchased several things from them and ended up spending less at the toy shop. There was a young lady working who was willing to total our purchase but wasn’t welcoming or helpful. The availability of restroom/diaper changing facilities and a professional, customer oriented atmosphere would be welcomed.

Great selection of unique toys and gifts for kids of all ages

Went looking for an rc vehicle and i got it! The guy wrkn back with the rcs was really cool and helped me pick out the one i wanted, he walked me thru taking care of the rc, and it made it so much easier when i got home and he even told me about a better charger and better battery and it was worth it getting those 2 upgrades! I really enjoy this rc and plan to take care of it and have it for a long time!

This store is on main street of Homewood and has provided the best unique toys, gifts, dolls, crafts, and puzzles. During Covid I called ahead and purchased a puzzle. They provide curbside pickup; I didn’t even have to get out of my car!

They were more interested in policing mask-wearing than being helpful. (For the record, I was wearing mine but got overheated and was having a hard time breathing so I pulled it down to breathe when literally NO ONE was on that half of the store.) I got “caught” and reprimanded so we left and decided to just buy it online. It’s a shame. The whole thing is a shame.

It’s a toy store who cares about the healthy and safety of their patrons...it shouldn’t be a weird political thing. They’re great!

This place is truly amazing! I dont know if my kids or I myself enjoy going here more! For being a fairly small store they have an incredible variety, especially for the bigger kids! lots of remote controlled toys. Knowledgeable staff and definitely worth a visit.

I used to go to this place as a kid 20+ years ago. Now, when I take my kids, they are as excited as I used to be. It’s one-of-a-kind.

Cool place to buy different kinds of stuff for the young ones especially on Christmas. Youll just have to choose and no need to find something because youll find everything here. Youll also feel young seeing all the toys you also once had before when you were a kid. Perfect!

What a great store! Went for boy scout pinewood derby supplies and left with so much more. This store is a longstanding piece of homewood history and is such a vibrant part of the community.

Every one is very friendly and will help you find anything even info on other stores if they dont have what youre looking for. Prices arent too bad either. They have a large variety of toys and models etc... its a small place... but when you go in you dont want to come out. My son loves looking around and we never leave empty handed.

Impressive place ! Lots of toys and spare parts for toys . Also supplies like various kinds of glue and paint. They have brass rods and strips if you need to make your own parts. Model train enthusiasts are well catered for here !

Wow! I was super impressed with the selection of all types of toys and games. I was able to find a few great options for my nieces and nephews for their birthdays. I enjoyed the fact that I could try and play with toys on display. This made it helpful to determine an overall fit. Plus the staff are excellent in terms of customer services and genuinely caring about helping you as a customer. I did not have the best idea of what games and toys were age appropriate and the staff was very helpful in determining the ideal gift per niece and nephew. Thanks ladies!!!

In the door two people greeted us right off the bat! This is great for kids and myself as a hobbyist, the tech at the R/C section knew exactly what I needed for a battery in my Heli, solid selection with decent prices. Will be a return customer! I live a hour away from this store so that says a lot!

This is the best toy and hobby shop Ive ever been to. Ive shopped here for over 30 years now. Its family owned and the people that run it are true enthusiasts that strive to keep the shelves stocked with the latest, relevant, high quality toys and games. The depth of their stock is mind boggling, it really takes several hours to see everything. I shop here for my kids, myself in the hobby department, and for every childs birthday party Im invited to, and my gift is always a hit. I usually tell Julie the age and gender of the birthday kid, and she immediately gives me several solid choices, plus they gift wrap it with high quality materials for free! My kids love everything they get from here, whether its a game, an educational science toy, or one of whatever the latest crazy blind bag/etc. craze is going on. If you shop here, youre guaranteed to find one of the hottest toys for a fair price, and be helped my some of the nicest people youll find in the toy store industry.

Wonderful selection of childrens toys

I was out here visiting a long time friend who just moved out here and we were bored trying to figure out what to do. we found this place online, drove over there and WERE SO EXCITED to have found this place. it was like we were kids all over again. i think this is the best place for nostalgic toys, christmas gifts, I lOVED IT!

Great place to buy different types of toys, but very expensive

Was passing through town from Atlanta and decided to check the shop out. Wow! This place is great! Had a great conversation with the employees, especially the older gentlemen in the RC section. I actually walked out with a new RC truck that I want even planning on buying! Great shop that I wish was in my hometown.

If I could give a gazillion stars I would!! My parents are stuck in a Birmingham, AL hospital while on their way back to CT from TX. They were so bored... ALL they wanted was a cribbage board and cards. GOOGLED and found HOMEWOOD TOY & HOBBY SHOP. Callled and spoke to Tricia McCain, the owner, and told her the situation. Tricia offered to PERSONALLY deliver the cribbage board and cards to them in the hospital. It was delivered, gift wrapped and all less than an hour later!!!!!!!!! If I could virtually hug my angel Tricia I would. I 100% recommend Homewood Toy & Hobby!!!

This is a friendly local business with great people. I went in inquiring about an drone and spoke with a gentleman who was a wealth of information not to mention was just great chatting with. I always try to support local companies but it is easier when the employees are good to the customers.

Whoever that old guy is, hes really rude and doesnt seem to like working there or the people who come in and make his paycheck. When I asked him about something, he just got all bothered that I dared ask him something pertaining to his job.I wont be returning, and I hope you retire soon, sir. We love Homewood Toy and Hobby. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We love to shop local and it makes it easy when our local businesses are great! My only complaint is that our kids ask to go daily after school. Ha ha.
