One of the best places to buy golf equipment. The workers were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back soon!
Almost always friendly and helpful. The kid working the register could use some customer service training. (I say kid because he mentioned that he was starting back to school in a few days.) He seemed frustrated with the customer in front of me who wasnt being unreasonable. The guy was asking questions about something he was buying.
The staff was amazing. I was not sure if I wanted the steel or graphite shafts. So the staff set me up in a lane. I hit both clubs, picked the graphite, and off I went with a new set of irons. The staff was amazing.
Always a cool place to go for gear and to just practice swing
Awesome stuff and awesome customer service! They are always nice and welcoming. I’ve been pleased with all my visits. It’s an awesome place!!!
Danny at the Birmingham, AL store went above and beyond helping me find the right set of irons. He spent more than ample time switching out irons heads and shafts, giving me many different options. Him being a left handed golfer, like myself, he showed genuine interest in helping me improve my game. He deserves recognition.
For the first time, I had a great experience at the PGA Superstore. Danny was incredibly helpful and extremely knowledge about Driver shafts. I could not recommend him more. I never felt rushed or pressured to make a purchase. Go over and ask for Danny or Brooks - both are great.
Mr Danny was AMAZING! Super helpful, very charismatic, knew his stuff and guided me in the right direction with everything! He deserves a raise!!!
Danny L. Was very helpful fitting my son with a new set of irons.
This was my first time shopping at this location. I went in with the intention of buying a new set of irons. They were sold out of the irons I had been looking at online so I went to the simulators were two workers were talking and seemed bothered that I walked up and needed assistance. Before I even asked a question I was asked “is your name on the list?” (There were no names on the list) I told him I wasn’t here to get fitted I just wanted to know if they had a demo I could hit a few times. He put together a club and then said we don’t have any available bays. I waited and then another gentleman came up and asked a question about club fitting and the employee that was helping me took him directly to a bay and never once said a word to me. I waited 10 more minutes and I saw bays starting to open however I couldn’t get any help. I set the club down and proceeded to walk out of the store and go directly to Edwin Watts. The employee at Edwin Watts was great and let me hit multiple different clubs and I actually ended up buying a completely different set than what I had intended. ($1200 that Pga Superstore won’t get) My overall advice is to save the trip to Pga Superstore and head to Edwin Watts where you will be treated like you aren’t an inconvenience to the employees.
Very clean and well organized. Staff was very friendly and professional. Helped my wife and I find everything we were looking for. Recommend this store for your golfing and sport apparel needs.
This place is horrible impossible to get help I did an in store pick up never got a notification that the order was ready went to the location had to find some help they acted like they’ve never done this type of online in store pick up before I don’t know if they need more training or what. The next day I received an email saying the order was ready what a joke. Hire some better people with better service at this location just horrible. I’ll spend my money online and get better prices anyway
Shop here twice a month. Went in last week looking for a new Driver 3 wood and hybrid. There were 2 salesman in one of the bays who saw me pulling clubs and looking at there way for some help. They were having some obvious private conversation. Never once asked me if I needed help. Stood there for over 20 minutes with no acknowledgement that I was there. I walked out.
Top notch staff that really care. Bought a demo club on a steep discount and they found me a new headcover that matches and threw in the adjustment tool as well. Cleaned the club up and took all the stickers off. Ive also had numerous clubs regripped and reshafted here and have never had a less than stellar experience. Service has always been friendly and fast and theyve always cleaned up my clubs. I know its technically a big box stores but the staff make it feel like you are in the friendly neighborhood golf shop.
Made the 4 hour trip to get fitted for clubs. As a new golfer, only been playing for 2 months, I figured I could count on PGA Superstore to be able to assist like I needed them to. I wanted to get fitted for a complete bag of clubs. I swung 2 7 irons a total of 15 times and he started picking out clubs for me. I ended up making the mistake of buying clubs yesterday instead of trusting my gut and going somewhere else to be truly fitted to clubs, as I should be. I learned more about why he is a great golfer than why the clubs he was choosing were good for me.So, in closing, I plan on going somewhere else for the rest of my golf needs.EDIT: Jerry got me to come back in and get fitted with Drew, fortunately this time it was a better fitting. He spent time and explained things to me unlike the experience before. We did find a few things that we could have changed but they were all minor and could be fixed with more practice.
I had the best experience thank you for all the help.
Great place. Great selection and great service!
Allways love the staff here. Best selection in Birmingham. Love the deals on demo clubs.
Love it ! Best selection of Volvik golf balls .
So I like going here but the service is always questionable. They seem to only greet the men everytime Ive gone in there. Guess thats all they cater too.
Had to return shoes purchased in Atlanta. After reading reviews of this store was not looking forward to it.SURPRISE, I was greeted by the young man behind the counter, who took care of my return, without delay or silly questions. Had a friendly discussion with him.Looked a golf bags, really helpful sales person, who seemed to know his merchandise.Went to the shoe section, sales person Danny L ask if he could be of help. Told him what I was looking for, he showed me many pair that worked. Ended up buying two pair.Really impressed with the three sales people, ask to speak to the new manager, Jerry Ingram. He assured me, what I experienced will be the normal at this store, if I should experience anything less let him know.
Went in to buy a new M6 driver. Picked it up and it started beeping. Attendant came and took it, walked away and NEVER asked if he could help or if we were interested in purchasing. Weve decided since you could care less about our business, we will purchase it somewhere else. We will NOT recommend you to anyone else.
Great items and helpful people.
Please extend my sincerest appreciation to your sales associate Trey for his assistance and patience yesterday during my and my friends first visit to your store. Without a doubt, he is the most outstanding sales representative Ive encountered any where. Youve got a real gem in him and I hope you reward him appropriately. Because of him you now have two dedicated customers.
I have never been miserable in a golf store, until now.The staff reminds me of private club where it is acceptable to wear jorts, wife beaters and smell like they havent showered in days.Went in to buy a new set of irons and possibly a driver, could not get a sales person to assist, when I did explained my game and wanted guidance I was greeted with a slack jawed look followed up with, these are on sale.Best thing for the golf community in BHM would be for this store to go out of business.
I was hesitant to visit this store due to the poor reviews online about rude employees and bad customer service, but I visited today with my son who is learning to play golf. Cory, the manager, was very friendly and helped my son find the right driver, and even gave him some helpful tips. He then took time to show him how to use the computer swing cameras in the hitting bays so he could watch himself and learn what to practice. He also helped me test a few new grips for my putter and was extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely visit the store again.
My first visit to the PGA store today as I was looking to purchase a new set of clubs for my son. The store is impressive however I was there for 20 minutes and not a single employee asked or offered any assistance. I went to the front and let the gentleman at the front know I was interested in getting a set of Jr Golf clubs and he pointed to a sign at the back of the store that said Juniors. Not sure what I was expecting. I went to the junior department and looked around for 10 minutes before leaving.
Whats it to love? Its a store. Its a superstore at that! They have a sign that says they provide world class customer service. Clean business. Nice people. Its whats up my friends.
Great customer service and everything you could possibly need!
Their service has improved tremendously and they have great options for all golf gear. Looking forward to continuing shopping with them!
Great experience, went beyond try to sell you something to really helping with your game, ask for Greg! The staff is extremely knowledgable. I highly recommend dropping buy and looking at this new facility and the inventory is unbelievable.
Big selections and great staff.
Every time I go they have a massive selection and never what I like. They only keep in stock weird degrees and shaft selections and it is never what they let you demo. Please support a local golf store over this non caring set of employees.
So in the span of three weeks I drop over $1,000 in the 280 store.....completely upgraded every club in my bag m2 irons including a new $150 bag. I purchaced two fairway woods, a putter and a new Bag during my last visit. The cashier charged me twice for the woods....when i questioned it he acted like a jerk and started talking under his breath. I showed him on the receipt because he said no i didnt. He was to busy chatting with another employee behind the counter to do his job. No big deal the guy just sucks at customer service right. So today I walk in the door at 20 minutes til 6pm. They close at 6pm. I was asked as i walked in the door if I knew what I wanted because they were about to close. Told him i was going to get a new driver needed to get a 10.5 degree. He asked again did i know which one I wanted because they are closing. With a smile i just said no problem Ill go somewhere else.I will never spend another dime in this store.Tomorrow Ill drive over to Inverness Golf and pick out my $500 driver for my post fathers day gift.Inverness Golf for me from now on.....dont waste your time or money on these rude idiots. Worst customer service Ive ever!
2nd time to store trying to buy a driver. Unless you are buying a 600.00 driver they are not interested in helping you. Asked for help to fit me for new driver. I hit 3 balls and he was ready for me to leave. Didnt want to help and didnt act like he wanted to be there. After reading other reviews I should have known better than come back a second time. Will never go back!
Absolutely horribly service! My friend and i were looking to buy a new set of irons and first off we had to practically beg to be assisted then he gave an attitude when both of us wanted to try clubs but was perfectly fine letting his grandson play on the simulator. I wish this place wasn’t associated with Golf because it will ruin anyone’s preception of golf. Don’t go to this establishment
This store has great associates and management.
Reviews are accurate. Complete ***holes. First thing the guy at the simulator asks when I ask to hit a driver in the range is if I’m in the market with a smirk...
Great experience, great help, the manager Jerry Ingram was a very helpful and polite
I realize that 7:57 PM is basically 8:00, but why even ask what is it that I needed if your reply was going to be, “we open back up at 10:00 in the morning.” Literally just needed 2 scotty Cameron grips that were right beside the register. C’mon man.
Wonderful customer service!! I started a new job, recently. My “dream” job. As I learned my way around the office and got to know my co-workers, I discovered that golf is the unofficial job requirement there, lol. Having never played, I was panicked a little about pursuing this new hobby. I wandered in to the PGA Tour Superstore in Inverness. As I browsed the store looking at the enormous selection of every kind of equipment I became so overwhelmed. Thankfully a salesperson, Drew, found me. Bless him, he was so patient as I described my predicament. He helped me find the right clubs, bag, shoes, towel, and all the other things a new golfer needs. He was also patient with my need for things to “match” lol. Golf is an expensive pastime, but Drew made me confident in my decisions. He shared a lot of information about the local golf scene too.I will definitively be back, and ask for Drew! It’s rare to find this kind of personal attention! And if my co-workers can’t teach me to play well enough, I’ll be back for lessons!!
Value Price for indoor practice bay, great deals from the store time to time, kind and knowledgable staff helping well from most of in-store experiences.
Best value in Birmingham. Friendly staff.
They do not want to help unless you are buying all brand new clubs. Did not want to help with getting fitted for my irons bc I was not buying new. Said that it would be 24 hours before I could get my clubs back... so I went to Inverness golf and it took 10 minutes. Do yourself a favor and go to Inverness golf on 280.
Go to Golf Galaxy if you’re in Hoover.
Amazing store even better customer service!
Customer service needs to improve. The selections are great though.
Great selection of womens golf gear!
Every time I go there no one is in there. Probably because their customer service is so terrible. They always make sure to let you know if they are “close” to closing. If it wasn’t for the younger guy with the glassss I wouldn’t go back.
Best chicken sandwich ever.
Multiple times misled and given misinformation. Will not go back.
What Ive come to expect from pga superstores, zero customer service and a bunch of A**holes working there and this location is no different . In fact I made the comment to one of the employees I dont know how you all stay Im business and his reply was with a shrug then go somewhere else . There is obviously no service training or much of a screening process in hiring, in Birmingham there is nothing better is only problem, Inverness golf is just as bad
A bit pricey!
GREAT Place !
This place is a bad example for the PGA !
Employees here ignore you.
