To be honest I’m very picky, and we were in here many time to find the right ring. Staff was always courteous and helpful and never made me feel like I was wasting their time. When we went back in to look for men’s rings they were just as helpful even though the men’s rings cost significantly less than mine had. I’ll shop here again!
My wife bought a 600 dollar ring from this store. 5 days after the warranty expired we decided that we did not like it and decided to take it to a pawn shop to sell it. The pawn shop scratched it and told me that it’s scratched because it is NOT 10k white gold as promised during the time of purchase. Now after only 2 months I’m stuck with a fake, scratched wedding ring. Although the customer service has been great in the past, this is upsetting enough for us to do business elsewhere next time.
If you are a New customer of Kay jewelers, or already have shopped here, then I hope you have luck at this location. The products are mid to high quality stones and jewelry, and the selection (although great for an average jewelry store) is limited due to the smaller location. If you do not find what you are looking for, this is a great place to get inspections done and new ideas for what might be needed in the future. The sales associates seem to be all over the spectrum from not caring at all, to so pushy that they will run you right out of the store. There are a few amazing ones though who will actually help and give you that legendary Kay experience. Just because someone said hi to you, or sold you something in the past does not make you their customer. Different needs for different occasions and personalities. All in all, if the item of desire is not found, checking out the special events, and speaking to the representatives to see which ones are interested in helping you as a person or a gift giver for the occasion, instead of letting them treat you as a commission or wallet is the way to go.
Wonderful customer service! We needed to find a necklace for a loose diamond we had and we had to travel to this store from out of town. With the help of Erica, Torrence and Delores we were able to find exactly what we needed! Great communication between team members and no one made us feel rushed or forced to by anything at any point. We got something beautiful and would definitely recommend Kay!
I had bought a ring on sale from Kay’s website and they sent the wrong size. So I called customer service and they told me to bring it to my local Kay jewelers store for help. I had printed the receipt and the ring still the Kay tag on it.When I got to the store the older female supervisor or manager scoffed at me when I told her the situation and told me they don’t sell Pandora that cheap at Kay and I need to call Kay customer service.I politely explained that I was directed by customer service to bring it to the store. She scoffed at me again and rudely told me once again that they don’t sell Pandora that cheap and to deal with customer service if I really have a problem.I have spent thousands of dollars in that store and got treated like absolute garbage for no reason.I wouldn’t even consider stepping foot back in that store if I didn’t have to go back for inspections on my other jewelry.
My husband bought me an accent ring from Bismarck Kay jewelers on oct 10,2020. They charged us $55 extra for resizing and it was supposed to be mailed to us within a month. It’s been 50 days still no ring. The amount has been paid in full. Highly disappointed! Specially for how much they charge and bad customer service.
Went into the Bismarck store to have my jewelry inspected and had no idea that I needed an appointment now because of Corna. There was absolutely no one in the store and the employee working refused to even inspect it even after telling him I had drove an hour and a half to have my stuff inspected. He was extremely rude when I wanted to look around and was told I had to.wear a mask, keep in mind no one else was in the store. He lost a sale as i have been looking to upgrade my wedding ring.
We have always went through Kay in Bismarck but after stopping this weekend and having the most inappropriate most unprofessional experience of any Kay that I have ever been in, we will never be going back to Kay in the Bismarck mall again. It’s really to bad when we go in there and normally spend a good amount of money each time we stop. I just hope this review makes it to the right people in management.
Customer Service was very poor today. I walked in and they both sat at the counter. When I got up to the register, the lady looked irritated that I was there. I told her I needed to check when my ring was up for inspection because I lost track. She looked irritated that I was wasting her time. She then barked at me something about August. I couldnt hear her so she snapped at me that I better get it done or if I lose a diamond I am out of luck. So I asked her nicely to inspect it, which she did, all the while looking crabby and irritated. Not sure I will purchase anything here again because this is usually how interactions go down at this place.
My fiance had bought a really cute bracelet from here and one single cuff came loose and fell off. I had full warranty on it and decided to take it in. However, I was told that yes it is missing but not broken. So the only thing that they could do is order a new one and exchange it. I was given 8 days. Its been well over two weeks. Im very disappointed bc the girls that helped me were very rude and I still dont have my bracelet. I was charged for the second too. Terrible terrible TERRIBLE service! Will probably cancel my account after I get my item.
Used to enjoy shopping here until recently. My wife had a necklace that broke and had the warranty so she sent it in to get fixed. It came back to the store so we drove 70 miles to get it only to be told that it wasnt repairable and they will have to order a replacement. Could they ship it to our home? Nope gotta drive another 70 miles another day to pick it up. Worst policy ever. Dont get why a verbal phone call wouldnt suffice to get that info.
Love this place. Love the team. LOVE the warranties and diamond replacement plans. My wife goes hard and even pieces from other jewelers have gotten loose stones and the Kays team finds it and fixes it! Not to mention every visit to the mall my wife gets her jewelry cleaned and inspected for free!
I bought my wife an anniversary ring in 2000 at a Kay store in Wisconsin, because of the value I purchased the insurance. With the insurance the ring had to be inspected every 6 months, because of the great service the people gave us I bought the matching necklace to go with my wifes ring. Then she bought me a ring, again with the insurance. We have had excellent service every time we have been in. Because another jewelry store had so botched the resizing of my original wedding band and my wife wanted another ring we just purchased a couple rings. Because they needed to resize both we came back when they told us they were in and both were done to correct size and perfectly finished. Each time we come to Bismarck we try to stop in at Kay Jewelers just to see what is new.
Would not recommend for anyone to buy from them especially if they have to special order your jewelry. I special order a wedding ring they said it would take 2 weeks . After 2 months later I requested a refund. One other thing when I would call asking for status they would say they would check on it and call me back only 1 time they called back.
Got engaged and brought in my fiances grandmothers rings to get the bands fosced as they had to be cut off my future mother in laws finger. They were very helpful, answered all my questions, helped me figure out what was best to fix them and even helped me save money!! Very happy with their peompt service!
Went in to size my finger for a ring and was told I am a size 6.5. When the lady sized me the 6.5 was tight and wasnt going anywhere. My boyfriend ordered me a size 6.5 ring and when it came i thought it was huge on my finger. It can about fall off of my finger. It is nowhere near the same size as when I was sized in the store. Yes, I know your finger changes sizes when it is hot and cold. I have worn this ring for a month now and it never has fit the same way as when I was sized. I went in to talk about resizing and the lady in front of me had a horror story with her resizing. She had a matching necklace and ring and had the ring resized, when she got the ring back the gem was different. It didnt match the necklace anymore. After hearing that I was not about to send my ring in. I was told my ring measures at a 6 1/4, but that cannot be right because the 6.5 barely fit when I was sized. Also, my coworker is a size 7.5 and the ring fits her perfectly, so im not sure how that works. Would not recommend shopping here, and would never go back.
If youre looking to meet a fake, smiley, unhappy jeweler, the Bismarck Kay Jewelers has just the lady for you. I suppose if youve never owned any type of jewelry you should probably avoid this place entirely. And with a free service of ring sizing, you may want to skip asking. Yes, it is offered there, however, its a huge pain apparently to offer the service and see no profit handed over. What a shame, to have to perform a simple, quick duty for your job, and not be rewarded with monetary compensation. Maybe I should have asked if they offered friendly customer service at the start. Hindsight is 20/20.
Shady, shady, shady. Save yourself from the hassle. The man at the Bismark location took down my debit card number, and even called my bank pretending to be my husband to get the balance. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE.
I purchased a ring in Rapid city, SD. With a full lifetime insurance policy. The ring was soldered to fit my finger, my ring then broke right in half. I brought it in to kay jewelers in bismarck, they informed me they would order a brand new ring and swap out my old one. As I had full insurance. The ring broke in late July, they said about a month for the new ring to come. I went in the end of August and the tracking number said the ring was in the store, but the employees could not find it. They then said it was missing. So they ordered yet another ring. I was informed it would be here in the very beginning of October. I called and talked to very rude and uninformed employees, and all they would do is apoligize. Its now November and I just got the new ring, and guess what, the wrong size, and now it has to be sent off again. One of the male employees tried to tell me that I had to spend $90 for insurance that was already paid for on the original ring, thats lifetime insurance, I shouldnt have to pay for it again. Thankfully, the manager didnt make me pay. Once again, Im waiting for a ring. There is only a few employees in that store who are actually helpful, the manager is awesome, but when you have very rude stafd, it ruins the whole experience. I will never purchase any jewelry there, due to very rude staff, especially the young man, who would not even say his name.
Ordered a ring online....they sent a ring but it was screwed up...took it to the store...they cant fix it in store....had to wait 2 weeks for new ring...went in on day promised....still didnt have it....promised next day ....went back in...still didnt have it....store workers were not helpful and very rude
Love Kay!
