Great place to find amazing stuff once in a while at great deals

Prices used to be fair but seem they have really gone up. I think they let the college kids price now. 🥲You can find a good deal once in a while but you really have to dig for it.

I was born and raised in Blacksburg and this used to be one of my favorite thrift stores, but I have stopped going due to the outrageously high prices and terrible organization. Its been especially bad in the past couple of months for some reason. There is so much unorganized stock spilling out onto the floor, it actually blocks the aisles and causes accessibility problems.I have also stopped donating, since they let dealers have their pick of the good stuff before it even goes out on the floor. They are also duping students with incorrectly priced records (beatles records in unplayable condition for $20, which could be bought on ebay for a quarter of the prices). Seriously if you want to buy books or records, just go online, it will probably cost less.The older man who seems to be a manager is incredibly rude and unpleasant as well and pretty much ruins the fun of going with his nasty attitude.

Good stuff reasonably priced. Better choice over other thrift shops in area.

Its springtime, and the Blacksburg YMCA Thrift Shop is overflowing with all kinds of tidbits, from electronics and kitchenware, to clothing, furniture, and books. Lots of good stuff!

Spectacular staff. Wonderful store.They make it so easy to donate without risk of getting Covid.The staff is always eager to help. Its a true delight interacting with people who dedicate their lives to help others.

Great place to find cookware, water bottles, furniture, and other small odds and ends you might need to furnish a college apartment.

When you say something is worse than Goodwill that’s saying something but it’s true. Overpriced and they even have a boutique area to gouge for things that are donated. Unpriced items they will not let you purchase. Clutter everywhere and you have to pay crazy prices. They really take advantage of local students.

We never know what kind of treasure bwe may find, they always have lots of goods coming thru their store. We did find what we were looking vfor, and will continue to be loyal customers.

The only thing I disapprove of is their high prices since they got it free.
