I have rented from these guys for 5+ years. Kathy is amazing. The rates are good. I have referred a few people and they are just as happy as I am with my experience with Kathy.

I now live in New Orleans after living in Minnesota for 45yrs so Minnesota is where my roots are & always will be. I keep a storage of important personal belongings at Metro Storage. The staff at Metro Storage, especially Kathy, have been great with communicating with me, I know my storage is safe, when Ive had issues paying my bill they work with me, & Kathy is so helpful.

By far the best storage locker and staff Ive came across. The place is very clean and the rates for the lockers arent bad either. Kathy is a very knowledgeable about her job and very courteous.

I moved into a townhome recently from a larger situation and simply needed a temperature controlled unit with easy access that I still felt safe using. Fortunately I’ve managed to find that with metro self storage in Blaine. Kathy the manager is an absolute sweetheart who has always made herself available if needed. I’ve never had any issues however I have found myself stopping at times to talk with Kathy as we both have an interest in cars. Our family was in need of storage after having a house fire in the middle of January. After looking over many options, none compared to Metro Self Storage in Blaine. Kathy was amazing as she helped us through a very difficult time taking an incredible amount of pressure off of us, and making sure our needs for storage were met. Metro almost became a second home for us as all of our items not damaged by the fire were able to be stored safely in a controlled temp environment that was also spotless and in a great location. My husband and I used this location in 2016 to store household items until we purchased our first home. The place was very clean & the staff was AMAZING! Years later (3/2021) we were in need of another storage unit for just 1 month & I immediately thought of Metro Self Storage! I went in to check on availability & was reminded how WONDERFUL this place is. I currently have a storage unit & the staff is STILL AMAZING. Best customer service ever I swear!! And the bathrooms are spotless! I highly recommend this company & location!!

Kathy & Ed are amazing!!! We rented approx. 7 various size storage units over the past 3 years at Metro Self Storage. We stored items when we were staging our home to sell, followed by several months after our move. Since we moved in the winter we decided to wait until spring to move our outdoor items out of storage. I also had multiple storage units to store inventory for my wedding event business. We have other family members that have rented as well. One still rents a unit there. Kathy operates this location very professionally. She was great to work with every time I decided to rent another unit or switch the size or location of the units I wanted to rent. The facility is always spotless, including the on-site restroom. The lighting in the facility is great. All our units were on the 1st floor, so in addition to being climate controlled, we had the luxury of driving inside on days when the weather was bad to load or unload. I always felt safe when I was in the facility & never worried about any of our items that were stored there. We moved about 45 minutes north, otherwise we would still use Metro. Highly recommend Metro (Specifically the Blaine location) for anybody looking for either short or long term storage!!!

Metro Storage is clean, well lit, and I always felt safe there. The staff are always nice, pleasant, and answers questions you may have. I have had two environmental control units. All of my items remained clean and odor free. One of my storage units I’ve had since 2016. I highly recommend Metro storage! I give Metro storage five stars ⭐️

Let me just say.. Kathy is THEE best. I am a big stickler for great customer service and she meets my standards. The inside of the building is always clean and the bright light helps to see where your going. I am on my 2nd unit at this location. Even the bathroom(s) inside the loading/un-loading area is clean. Take the stress out of storing your stuff and bring it here.

Great facility and Manager Kathy. This place is unbelievably clean and well maintained, we thought it was brand new, but it isnt. Kathy showed us several options and put our mind at ease after a previous bad experience in Minneapolis where several of our pieces of furniture was damaged due to their faulty HVAC. This is a very secure huilding with cameras, plus climate controlled. The BEST around!!

Easy access, like my unit, good customer service when I have worked with them on anything. For being a new building out there was some flooding or something that happened above my items, they did called me to tell me but I am grateful that it did not happen to my unit. They seem to have been prompt and taken care of it and I was happy they notified me so I could check. I have had good experience with working with the front desk

They had a pipe leak on my things. They fixed the leak but didn’t bother calling me to let me know. The liquid ruined the top of my antique dresser.

Unfortunately I had to move storage because I move location and the Blaine location is too far for me. I had to look for a place that’s closer to where I moved and I am really not happy with the storage place that I’m at now. I wish Kathy was running the ship there it would be much better.If you were going to rent from metro storage in the Blaine area or wherever Kathy is managing you are in good hands. There are multiple entry doors and a drive through to load/unload out of the rain if needed, as well as carts for transporting to your assigned unit if needed.

My wife and me rented a unit here to declutter our house to get it readyto sell..This place is clean, comfortable and SAFE.. they have music playing so it isnt so quiet. the manger is friendly and helpful..we recently dropped off a load and asked about a unit to store my car in.she has two open, and recommended the one because the security camera looks right at the door..Hopefully it will be available when I need it!

This is a great place, clean and convenient with the carts they have to move your stuff from your car to the unit. I loved that it is temperature controlled too. I used it a couple years ago and the office people were great and easy to work with when we moved out. Planning to go back to them again to store some things for the winter. I would recommend them to anyone.

This is a fantastic storage facility! We moved our belongings from another storage company to here and there’s no comparison. I can’t think of anything that needs improvement. This is an excellent storage facility. The Manager Kathy is wonderful to work with. She explains everything in detail, and has a wonderful personality. The facility itself is new, very clean, secure with a wonderful pull through. It also has easy access off Hwy 65. The rates are fair compare to other storage facilities in the area.

As someone who has used storage units in the past, I cannot imagine having to carry the burden of being discriminated against for my sexual orientation, or personal preferences while being in the process of a move or other stressful situation that may require me to have a storage unit. My money should be welcomed just like anyone elses, but apparently the employees here dont feel that way, so I can only hope others will join me in taking business away from this company for allowing such discrimination to happen by their employees.

This is a clean facility and from first impression, appears to be well designed. And as stated before, hats off to customer service and even just the general atmosphere of the place. Has an industrial look but not an industrial feel. Good pricing too. Always something to consider.

Excellent facility and staff! Wasnt sure if I really needed climate controlled storage but was sure happy I did make that decision. Had some valuable furniture and other important items to store and it was very nice walking in the facility and knowing my things were being kept in a safe environment. Friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and caring staff; clean facility; camera-secure, and easy to access from highway 65. In addition, Kathy worked with us to park, overnight, a 28-foot trailer needed for our move AND helped us with our lock when we had a self-induced key snafu. Because of her, our move continued smoothly. Thank you.

Wow, is all I can say! This facility has it all; large, new, clean, reasonably priced, and great customer service. Kathy, the Facility Representative we worked with, was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable as well. We secured 2 units and are considering a 3rd! I highly recommend this facility and its staff!

I wish it was open 24 hours, but otherwise its great.To the 22 hostile commenters, only one of you had the personal experience to begin with. Isn’t it possible that this was some kind of misunderstanding? If you weren’t there, it doesn’t help the matter to pile on. It just feels like misplaced outrage. If the employee truly and intentionally discriminated against that customer then I recant all of this. But we just don’t know and in my mind that initial review is no more trustworthy than the employee’s point of view. Not less or more trustworthy. There is so much rush to judgement and rage these days. We’d all do better to take a breath and ask more questions. Assume the best rather than the worst.

Was always warm and never needed a sweatshirt.Carts and elevators made renting a unit in the second floor easy.Called to key themknow when I was going to bed done and no issues or miscommunication!Well worth it.Hours if access are 6 am-9pm. Im a night owl, so that was my only hiccup some days if I needed access. But other than... Great storage facility.

If youre LGBT or POC, STAY AWAY! You will be treated like garbage. I walked in, looking to get either a 10 by 5, 10 by 10, or even 10 by 15 storage unit. Ive had several indoor/climate-controlled storage units in Minnesota and so far, this is the most expensive Ive looked at. I did mention that to the person giving me a tour and they seemed to be personally offended that I brought up price. My existing indoor storage unit is a 10 by 10 and Im paying $79 after tax, but its quite a drive (Burnsville) which is why I wanted something north of the metro.I filled out my paperwork for a 5 by 10 unit for $89/month, bought the lock you can only get from Metro Storage for $15 and signed up for their insurance ($9/month). I mentioned my girlfriend/partner and the employee said, This isnt going to be a good fit, and refused to rent to me, presumably because Im a leabian.I left without incident and called corporate. The employee did not specify what wasnt a good fit about me, but after you tell someone youre gay and they stop the transaction, tell you to GTFO and your money is not good here, you just leave and be glad you didnt submit your girlfriend to this totally unprofessional jerk. I was ASTONISHED this isnt a franchise operation because this employee didnt want my money as soon as they found out I was queer. If I was a district manager of Metro Storage, I would be mortified a customer was treated this way.Again, if you arent a straight white person, take a lesson from my experience and AVOID Metro Storage locations! They dont deserve your business and are overpriced to begin with.
