They had me come in that day, examined the collection, told me the value and why it was valued as such, made an offer and bought the collection. Not too friendly. Proprietor exhibited disdain for me and my coin. Cannot recommend.Didnt tell me anything I hadnt already found on a cursory Google search.Handled my coin carelessly, but I did get it weighed which was my primary objective. This earned the 2nd star on this review.I will avoid in the future, hopefully he was just having a bad day.Edit:Owner responded professionally and I appreciate that.The coin is not rare to them, but I was excited to find it in my change jar. My nascent interest in coins was somewhat dulled by my visit.

I have been collecting coins since I was little, and no one has ever given me the great prices he gives. I even prefer him over the U.S mint. Also I’ve had him value some coins for me and he is very honest and lets you know exactly what you, and he can do very fast has a lot of coin prices in his head and can let you know what you have super fast. Right now he is the only person I’m doing business with because he gives good service, knows what he is doing, and gives the best prices I’ve ever seen. There is a reason he has the highest rating in town for stores over 8 reviews.

Nice store clean and good prices

Ive been dealing with Mike for years now, he is knowledgeable and fairly priced. I have just started dealing with Zak and he seems to be just as professional. Ive been to many other stores, and this is the only one I regular. I go for the bouillon, but my son likes to look at all the artifacts.

Legit prices and premium on bullion. Fantastic selection of rare coins and collectables. They are friendly and honest to the point that Id rather do business with them than save a couple dollars buying off the internet. Good dudes for all your coin and treasure needs.

Awesome new coin store in town...well, new to me. I received a better price on the bulk foreign coins Ive accumulated over the years than I was hoping for. The owner is a great guy and super knowledgeable about history...and coins. I just went in to get a quote, but ended up selling them all, talking about history for over an hour, and getting a few nice US silver coins to add to my collection. First time in store today, Michael the owner was very cordial and was happy to tell me about the store which opened 5 months ago. Came back a couple of hours later to make a purchase. Prices are reasonable, display cases made viewing coins very easy. Only downside was the fee charged for using a credit card. Highly recommend this dealer would make future purchases from this establishment

I have been into the shop a few times. Every time has been an enjoyable experience. This has been due to the set up of the shop, the knowledge of the owner and the experience overall. It has been nice to actually hear the history of the coins I have brought in has he looks them up and tells you where they are from and any historical relevance.I have not been to many coins shops so I do not know what to really expect in them. So far I know however that they should look clean, look awesome and have a nice staff. These things I can say are true about Queen City Rare Coin.If you havent already, consider stopping in and looking around. There are some pretty cool old things from a variety of origins. This is a great store with friendly and knowledgeable service. Mike specializes in coins but also sells gold and silver bullion as well as some ancient artifacts like arrowheads, hand carved Native American pipes, and more.
