Donor vehicles are amply spaced apart in the yard to facilitate an abundance of workspace regardless what your there to pick. They supply customers with steel framed carts that are very heavy but very useful when you need to pick heavy parts. Pricing is on par with most junkyards Ive visited. overall LKQ is a great place to go salvaging if your looking for quality parts that have minimal after the fact damage.

Its $3 per person to get in. They accept credit/debit cards for the entrance fee and purchases. Wheel barrows are provided on first come, first serve basis for free. Tool rental available. They have great prices. The yard is pretty well organized. There is a port o john.

Found the parts I needed. Cashier couldnt get off her cellphone long enough to actually ring me up and answer my questions but its whatever. Prices were high but again, its whatever. Got my car back going and hopefully I never have to return to this place again.

A joke! Steal cars and sell the parts. Ive been looking for a vehicle they let me store on their lot for 3 months. I paid them and now they wont show me any video. They said they need to know when the car was missing. How would I know? Please stay away from them because you are contributing to auto theft. They pay private tow companies to steal cars for them!

They seem to have a variety of cars however, their admission went up to $3And the rather expensive with the parts that you pulling off yourself. However theyre fair, 90 day warranty on parts Plus you can return for cash back. Would love to see a half-price day come there.

I asked for a part. I was given a quote & told to come back in 4 days for the part. I called first but noone picked up the phone. I knew they were open because they never pick up the phone so I drove over & was told they did not order the part, I received a quote. Like I didnt know I had a quote. Then I was asked to pay for the part. I gave payment then was told they ordered the part and sold it. This is not the first time but the second time LKQ did something like this to me. However, in the end, they were able to refer me to someone who referred me to someone else. What a business!

***THEY DO NOT HONOR A WARRANTY.*** Bought a throttle body sensor from the location on north avenue. Part was no good. Took it to this locationTo return it. They said it didn’t match the receipt. This was 10/3/2020. Today is 10/9/2020 . I’ve seen people come here and be treated disrespectful by the lady manager. I’ve been coming to this location since before it was LKQ. That was over 20 years ago. Guess I’ll just buy parts brand new on rock auto and I don’t have to Deal with nonsense like this. $36.58 wasted. Plus fuel and time driving back and forward. For a single part. I know not to purchase an engine or trans. Or rear end. That’s going to be even worse. Wish I could upload the receipt!

Very nice lot, good staff, and a huge selection, especially imports.

Firstly, can confirm its open Sundays as I was just there. Secondly, you want to catch their sale days for the best bang for the buck on already pretty decent prices. Thirdly, been going there for years, and Have only had one bad experience ( hence the 4 and not 5 stars )Other then that, its the biggest yard around I know of and has a multitude of cars ranging in ages from 8 years - 25 years and the occasional land boat every now n then. I recommend it

I spend thousands upon thousands of dollars a year at LKQ locations. This is the worst one of the bunch. The staff are extremely rude. I only come to this location if I absolutely have to. The Chicago Heights location, South Bend location, and both Chicago locations are much better.

Great place friendly price just bring your own tools also I see a lot of people complain about the customer service. People come in very rude and expect to be treated like a king. That doesnt work and also people say that they call and told one price but get there its another. Why call and ask the price of a rim and expect to get a rim and tire second the price is a tad bit high but when you return something you get your money back and not a store credit like other places. Third but last people say theres parts laying everywhere but if the guy ahead of you go to get a caliper and take off everything in its path and throw it everywhere what do you expect. Then people say that they call and ask what do they close and you hear 5:00 why do you show at 4:35 to try and pull a motor. Right is right those people want to go home to

In the past Ive gotten parts for very cheap because you have to remove them yourself but recently I just picked up a m.a.f. for a 95 mustang and found out I couldve just bought one new and had it sent to me for the same price! 🤔

High as HE double hockey sticks!!! Straight Up stick Up Prices without the weapon. They tried to stick me up for a used taillight assembly for a C note and a half! I went over to Hammond Indiana right behind Strack & Van Tils on Holman ave and bought the same taillight assembly Brand Spanking New still in the box for 85.00 Smackers!!!

First time here and I have to say, what a Sh*T hole. Ok I get it, it is a salvage yard, but damn how about you clean the place up of unusable parts that are thrown on the ground, maybe even make it less of a trip hazard.Most of the vehicles we were looking at were picked clean. How about we rotate stock and make room for some good pieces.The dudes at the desk were less than enthusiastic to be there, the place just reeked with attitude.

Parts available for many domestic and foreign vehicles. You pull the part yourself. Also they keep the rims on so you may even be able to find original factory rims.
